Looking for Advice Yone noob

Hi! I'm starting with Yone, I think it's a cool champ and I enjoy it. Do you think it's better on top or mid? Do you have any good YouTuber (Spanish or English) that I can follow to learn? Ty!

Discussion Getting tilted against garen matchup

Yone is a very enjoyable character, some games when you get ahead you can 1v9 enemy depending on their comp. But some games your against garen and you manage to stomp him early but if you fuck up your spacing once he just q e ignite r and you are dead while having pickaxe recurve and garen has a pair of boots? How am i supposed to enjoy this matchup, you gotta have like a 2 item lead to be able to win against garen without spacing all of his abilities.

Looking for Advice Why does yone mid feel bad?

Maybe I’m bad at yone all of sudden but I have consistently done well with him in my games like the last 2 weeks averaging over a 60%WR on him, all of sudden I played him today after playing a lot more ahri and pantheon mid and I’m been getting steamrolled so much cc and I feel like I’m not doing any damage, any help?

Looking for Advice How to play Yone at objectives

I play yone mid and one of the first rule I learned is that Yone is horrible in team fights where he gets hit by cc or erased by focused attacks. But as mid i'm also expected to help out my jungler when they go for dragon or baron.

What I find normally happens is I get pinged, go to help my jungler with dragon, and then the enemy jungler shows up, then mid lane, bot, everyone just comes rushing and what was just a 2v1 or 2v/2 becomes the very team fight that yone doesnt want to be in (usually before I get my shieldbow or even built botrk sometimes)

obviously I can just q3 or ult over the pit walls but then I'll get flamed for abandoning my team. If I try to help by using my ult I can get maybe 1 or 2 people stunned, but don't have the damage to actually kill and have to depend on my team to clean up (where they often end up chasing after the low health enemies and die to an ambush)

However if I ignore the objectives I also get flamed for not helping and by the time I get my item spikes the enemy already got maybe 2-3 dragons and it doesn't solve the team fight issue.

Also, what should I be doing after baron/elder buff? Should I be going with my team down mid or split push and hope I don't get piled on?

Assuming I reach the objective where the enemy has all gathered, how should I engage them assuming the tank (if my team has one) is dead or not there? Should I try to steal using my ult? (worked once, but I was fed like crazy)

Looking for Advice Advice on laning phase identity as yone mid

So I have started playing league late match and have clawed my way to plat maining yone and fiora for the most part.

What I’m mostly looking for is just some understanding on how I should be treating laning phase and when to take dshield fleet over lt/conq dbow especially against certain lane bullies.

Whenever I try playing safe against Mel, Aurora, Zoe, and leblanc it often feels like while playing defensively even with that rune setup I get chunked in 2 bursts and have to force bases anyway. This comes at the cost as when I do get a good punish window I barely do any damage since I have no attack speed.

Taking dbow however does make it a lot harder to sustain in lane and feels like it makes the lane a lot more volatile in either direction making it almost like top lane where it’s all or nothing.

I know yones way of not being overtly overpowered is to be weak pre 1st item and in an ideal, controlled environment, it is favored to just afk farm to 2 items and then just run over people from then but this kind of runs to my second issue.

At least at this elo, games seem largely driven by tempo where junglers and lanes often time don’t really want to play time to outscale and make plays and this manifests by oftentimes my own team fighting 3v4s at 1st dragon or grubs or in other various skirmishes where since I’m playing weak side oftentimes I am forced to show up late or not at all due to being chunked. This manifests into a mid game where my laner or the enemy team is up net 5 or so kills and from there it’s an uphill battle and then the game ends by minute 20.

Now I would say, a large factor of this is still due to my incompetence but my query is what do I need to do better in these situations. How should I play my lane, should I knowingly drop cs to help in these fights that i personally believe shouldn’t be fought that seem to happen regardless, should I just forgo the defensive playstyle for now and play flip with dbow because I’m not in an elo yet where that coordination to team play isn’t quite there yet.

I notice the difference a lot especially when I’m playing artillery mages which are my backup picks which have a huge amount more agency in the early to mid game and the games don’t flip as much as early but at the same time I notice that game winning plays manifest less and if we are missing something vital in our comp, not many can fill that role as yone can.

As a sidenote while I’m writing this, any advise on how to better sync up and respect opponent jungler would be appreciated, seems to be something I get punished for especially if I’m placing wards with e or when frozen on mid lane by lane bullies and even when I try to break the freeze they just re build it next wave.

Thanks for the advice and I apologize for the jumble of words you would have had to sit through

Acc is Jtrusz#feet

Feel free to shit talk or whatever, just um, any advise to improve would be nice so I can climb faster

Looking for Advice how do you beat late game yone?

Heyho, silver/gold scrub here.

I have seen it several times, enemy pixks yone top or mid, goes like 0/8, finishes 3 items, and now randomly is the best champ in the game, outdueling everone and oneshots the whole team in TF almost on his own.

Which champ is able to beat yone late game?

Don’t mind the penalty it was literally for saying midget to a camping graves. Regardless the amount of times I hit 80+lp and just needed that one game to hit plat couldn’t be fathomed. 52% w/r yone top otp and only a year and a half into the game. By far the hardest learning curve and ranked game I’ve played. I thought Diamond+ on apex legends and siege was sweaty boy🤣😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨. Now to get a coach and see where I can improve.

Looking for Advice Is Yone (top) a good one trick? And what champs should I learn beside him?

Really enjoying Yone top at the moment. Is he okay to one trick? And what champs should I learn along side him? I like Riven a lot and I've been trying Kayle too.
