What is your champion pools, ofc everyone of you main Kayn here, but other champions you play or like playing on jungle and other roles. I wanted to try out other roles like bot or sup, but I don't know what champion to play. One champ from bot I like is Varus I like how he can change his playstyle 180° when choosing different runes and build kind of like Kayn. I for example play Kayn(ofc), Nocturne, Kha'zix and Xin Zhao when on jungle; on mid I love Yone and recently I really like playing Locke, but it might just be that he is op; on top I like Aatrox, Renekton and Jax.

So what do you play?

I havent played the game in a while and wonderd what the builds are atm. Saw on u.gg that apperenetly uts hail of blades for both forms which just doesnt seem right to me.

Is it a thing and if not what are the builds for both forms?

Hello so I've been playing Kayn for a bit now and I'm just wondering how my build was for this game, Like against the enemy team comp I went blue kayn since yuumi and mf free bot kills then it collapses. Why No Hubris?

Tbh it works out really well and some people actually love hubris into voltaic but it feels a little too inconsistent for me and my playstyle personally but if you enjoy it i encourage you to use it.

Why Conqueror on Blue? Aren't you supposed to burst?

So this one i have to give full credits to Metaphor

for putting me onto this, it works insanely well with winning early game JG matchups and you have so much stronger skirmish power. When you get to late game you are still fully able to one shot the enemy carries. I think my #1 reasoning for this though is just the fact it enables a lot more fighting which = a earlier form which = a lot more control over the game.

Why Ignite? Also Green smite?!

Ignite is really really good on blue and red Kayn into any team comp with sustain (the only real fear of running this is if the enemy team has too much CC but I try to force ignite in a lot of my games tbh). Similar to Conq it just gives you a lot more potential pre-form and makes it easier to kill bruisers post form. And green smite I honestly just think is OP but I still run Blue every now and then. Green smite + Edge of knight makes you feel like a bruiser who can still one shot every carry.

And the Last thing I'd like to add that really sells the runes and build is these 1000% work on Red kayn just as much as they do on Blue Kayn similar how the red kayn runes and builds i posted also work on Blue Kayn.

What does this mean?

It Means you can go whatever form you want IN EVERY GAME. Planned to go red but you got blue? Doesn't matter don't wait that 4 extra minutes just go blue! and vice versa.

Extremely high mobility, oneshot potential, tank shred, drain tanking. Bel'veth is the best of both worlds (blue and red kayn). You'd be trolling not to pick up this champ as your second main after her rework. I've always considered this champion to be the best champion in the game. She has everything you want. It will take some games to get used to her but once you get the hang of her she is just a better Kayn I promise you guys. If you want free LP especially in like low masta (where I like to play her when I don't see the Kayn angle). Her playstyle will be a lot more reactive meaning you have to full clear, gather a lot of resources for yourself and play selfish for the most part so that you can scale into the late game monster Kayn used to be like 5 years ago. I suppose her main build will be kraken > bork > guinsoo. Are you guys looking forward to her rework? Personally I am really excited because I love this reactive jungle playstyle with high tempo and giga scaling. I love Kayn buut his champ identity has been ruined and he no longer scales so this is a good scaling pick into many comps I imagine.

I've searched the subreddit and can't find any posts asking the above. I'm an emerald Kayn main but i'm still curious about this. Does anyone ever buy the green pet? I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts.

Playing Top, I always build the tear of the goddes, but never finish, but never tried using it on the jungle, do you guys think it is a good finishing ITem?
Buy the Goddess Tear as a second item (after the voltaic) and keep stacking it?

Returned to league after a year break. Learned about kayn top from Drututt. I love playing the champ, it is so damn fun. Teaches you so much about toplane, I would surely recommend it to anyone learning the role. The fact that you can win any matchup with such a weak champ pre-form is insane. It requires a lot of skill to pull off even in plat elo and the ceiling is very high which is the beautiful part of it. I havent been able to space so well in ages.

Diamond 3 was my peak, I am currently on a very bad losing streak, I guess I just keep coin-flipping the worse botlane. I can probably push to masters with the pick, it is very strong if you know how to position well in teamfights and actually play it for fun. Unfortunately the meta right now are adc's that totally sh*t on rhaast :((

By the way, Rhaast feels very weak at the moment , I feel like the champion literally has no role in the game like what items even suit the guy? Cleaver and shojin are fire but require 20 seconds to stack fully at which point you are already dead and the full lethality either requires you to have F at all times or just position like a god every time and hope the enemy support doesn't have a brain.

Very weird spot for Rhaast. I would love to see him buffed. A ms buff would be just great to begin with.

Usually people struggle to understand what form to go in matchups like 3 ranged 2 melees or 3 melees 2 ranged.

You need to ask yourself 2 questions
what can the enemies do to me?
what is my role in the teamcomp?

can they lock you down? can they disengage? can they kite effectively? Can they poke or zone you out?

If they can disengage or lock you down, well, you go Rhaast to survive and flip the fight in your favour.
If they can poke, zone out or kite, you go Assassin, to kill them before this can happen.

Is your comp better at teamfighting or better at finding picks? Do you need CC? or you lack reach/flank for the backline?
If your comp has low CC, you need some to enable your carries, go Rhaast. If your comp has enough CC but low reach to backline in teamfight, go Assassin.

Both forms are good at finding picks, if you have setup go Assassin (think of Pantheon, TF, Blitzcrank, Pyke, Ashe as allies), if you need to setup go Rhaast (think of Akali, Aurora, Locke, Zed, Yasuo, Kaisa, Twitch as allies).

If you are unsure on what to pick, look at the enemy jungler, go Assassin against ranged or assassin, go Rhaast against fighters, tanks or assassins who can win against you early game easily.

And yes there are teamcomps who counter both your forms, because they are similar, in that case just pick the first you get, and play for what you can. Play conqueror, with domination or inspiration secondary, try to be as annoying to kill as possible with your itemization and playstyle, if they can shut you down they need to waste more than they should.

Picking the right form is something that will become natural as you face more and more champs and team compositions, being adaptable is for sure the best skill to have with Kayn and in SoloQ in general, so don't think you are doomed if you get or decide the wrong form, play around it.

When perryjg made a video on Kayn recently and suggested Alacrity over Haste I assumed it was just a mistake, but a super high elo Kayn player, "Theskyfallsforme" goes Alacrity in his primary or secondary tree and AS shard every single game. Not sure if Kayn just has more downtime in between abilities to auto than I assume or if haste is just a really weak rune. Also wanted to note Kayn has the 28th highest attack speed ratio in the game, but a pretty low base attack speed so there is plausibility to taking it in the runes, likely could also be that it helps with clear speed and squeezing out orbs early.
