Hello! I love skarner, but idk if ad is good on him on jg. If it is, what build can I use?

So Skarner as officially classified by Riot is a Juggernaut

Definition of a Juggernaut: Juggernauts are melee titans who relentlessly march down the opposition and devastate those foolish enough to get within their grasp. They are the only subclass who excel at both dealing and taking significant amounts of damage, but in turn they have a tough time closing in on targets due to their low range and extremely limited mobility.

If you look at all the champions in this list, they definitely have potential to both soak and deal damage and survive at low health by various means in their kit.

But Skarner barely fills this criteria doesn't he ? The W shield is underwhelming, He doesn't heal himself, He has barely any innate tankiness compared to other juggernauts and can't really soak damage.

Even building a sizeable amount of bonus health his W shield doesn't seem to get any big enough values to let him stay in a fight.

I would like to understand from Riot how Skarner fits the juggernaut title compared to all champions on this list, I understand he has much more CC than all of the other juggernauts and that is likely the reason why his damage is gated, but he needs a survival mechanic to be able to function more correctly IMHO.

Like the title says, im curious as what skarner mains think of the Old vs the new version of skarner.

I myself really like the new skarner, as in most situations he has decent damage, decent cc, great survivability. Not to mention his current ult can win team fights on its own.

So my question is what makes the old version better than the new? As I've seen a decent amount of ppl ask for his old version back.

Recentemente dei uma chance pra jogar com o Skarner, e meu amigo, que experiência gostosa, faço bilds que não são recomendadas e ele é um monstro igual! Só peguei essa fase do rework e que legal é ver toda a reinvenção que fizeram, deram a ele um peso na história de runeterra e um sentido incrível a vida dele, a dublagem em português e as falas são maravilhosas. Não sei como era o antigo skarner mas esse é muito bom(essa foto é do Pc do meu trabalho kkkk)

THIS IS MY OPINION

I like Classic Skarner, alot but I do miss his E stun because I feel like current Skarner (Big Lois) has better E than old Skarner. The rest of old Skarner Kit is WAY better. I don't like Current Skarner R because it's too slow and clunky to hit anything with unless CC. Q is better on old because you can do a lot of damage with Q on old Skarner while Current is better for Top only because he can throw it, Though it's clunky as well. W is way better on old because attack speed. The R is better on current but animation is so long and duration of it is shorter as well. So I would go with Old because point and click ability. The passive is SO MUCH better on old than current because old atleast helps you get back your ult as current just a small burn only matter in long fights.

So do I perfer old Skarner over Big Lois.

Yes and no, yes in some abilites and no in others. I wish they kept old skarner R and replaced his E with new skarner E and his old passive with sprials with current PBE passive. That's all I will have to say, thanks for reading this.

Depois do rework que o skarner teve apenas sinto que jogo com ele por ele ter o nome do velho skarner. O kit dele é até legal mais não sinto a mesma coisa jogando com o novo skarner. Sou só eu?

Hey everyone, hope all the scorpions out there are doing well. So, I was really looking forward for League Classic cause I thought it'd be Skarner's kit before rework, not the first one, but I'm still happy with it and that's not quite the big problem for me.

However, it is really frustrating that there is the possibility that League Classic is only a temporary mode, and I won't ever be able to play him again, or have a long term perspective on our boy, because that would be probably the last time we would play old Skarner. Anyways, what would you guys think it's the best Skarner for them to bring back and what are your thoughts on a possibly ephemeral league classic?

Guys we can get the actual good version of skarner instead of v1 which is still an acceptable skarner but it isn't the most fun version.

V3 skarner was the spire skarner v2 is the micro stun skarner with the 3 hit passive.

In my opinion this is the best skarner that was ever released. That is the skarner I remember from my childhood and I didn't love the spire rework but it mostly kept the champion I liked intact and give him an insane jungle clear abduction play style. The Katarina mains complaining until they got v2 kat so it is possible.

Skarner not having a stun is extremely jarring and I don't really love the first version they shipped on league classic. Maybe you guys like it more but that's my opinion. They are going to nerf this skarner so it won't feel as strong as it currently is. There is no way they let the current skarner numbers stay in the game so the champion won't be as fun as it is right now with the damage numbers.

since his rework late last year when he got his insane ad ratios, i felt like the general consensus what tha triforce was by far better that hearsteel because of how much raw damage it brings compared to hearsteel

but like every major site still say HS is better to rush despite having consistently lower winrate at every elo ??? like i'm sorry but hearsteel is so fucking bait and only works into 3+ melee champs or you can never ever stack it

Triforce > sundered > JakSho gives assassin level damage while being verry hard to kill with hatse and resist

I really hope they will switch the audio and release the classic skin. It feels good to play him again but the audio was so iconic. Also, his ability visuals are also not the old ones :/

What builds yall trying?

I wanna do dumb shit. Therefore, can someone please gimme some way shape or form I could build 4-6 ap items on this champ. I want it to somewhat work idc what the items are as long as they have ap. I just want fun suggestions I don’t need tried and tested builds I’m here to fuck around and find out.

He needs an AP ratio on passive and W shield ( optional ngl)

about my idea

y'all keep saying W is dogshit ( not true btw this abilty is a very low cd shield that comes with a slow , yeah no shit it does no damge it's basically unavoidable within 400 units and q might be the AA-empower with the most damage in the game) but i think the main problem with it is that it doenst feel that good when you wanna comit to the AP ratio so having an ap ratio on the shield would actually give an incentive to building AP items like riftmaker zhonias and such

passive is annoying to le because you can't itemise for it, meawhule every single max hp magic dmg abilty ( kaisa passive, renata passive , varus w, old new shyv q passive, kog w )n has some form of ap scaling but not skarner ? first up it would be somewhat keeping it in line with other similar stuff but iy would also give a niche to ap skarner: you pick him into high hp targets, pick up riftmaker, blodleters and shit and you melt tanks while doing lower damage overall ( fun tradeoff to me )

now why no ad scaling

bcs Ad skarner is the meta and his problem is NOT damage, so lets not give him more for no reason. his problem is that e is the most telegraphes abilty in the game and missing it means death
