i went in practice tool with conq graves, but sometimes when i auto i get 3 stacks and sometimes 1. idk why but its inconsistent. maybe im dumb but can someone tell me why you sometimems get 3 stacks and sometimes 1?

I’m sure we all know we want at least 1000 gold on first back, but say you end up with 1600 (double kill bot, scuttle + kill + 2 assists, etc)…is it worth it to delay Hubris for the Crit Cloak?

Alternatively you put that extra 600g into Longsword + 250g cd item to further progress your first item spike tempo, but I’m wondering if the 20% crit from cloak would be worth it to help accelerate your next clear or two as well as add a classic “1% crit rune” feel to some of your early skirmishes.

Haven’t tested it out myself but I thought about it today after securing a double kill bot on first gank.

I’m assuming 1700 gold might change the math (2 long swords maybe?) but if you’re at 1600 I’m really wondering if the crit cloak is optimal.

I pretty much always run free boots rune so boots aren’t even considered in the math here for me.

TL;DR: Is a 16% DPS increase on your camps for multiple clears worth delaying your first item spike if you get an early windfall of gold?

Might have to go actually test this…

I play league since s4 and one of my favorite champions was old graves, like i started main adc because of him, like shreddig through minions and enemies with the extremly satisfying q, the old mafia graves auto attack was perfect

I’ve been testing out stormraiders on bruiser graves, but I can’t decide what feels better between that and fleet. I’ve always been a big dark harvest fan but I know sometimes I have to switch up the build. What are y’all’s thoughts between the different rune pages / builds???

Good synergy with Fleet

in some game earlier crit feel so impactful especially when your team is behind

early crit feel better then Hubris since you can't really stack it and Ghostblade ms isn't really helpful since in those game you can't really play skirmish

man, Graves is a champion whose mechanics I genuinely love, but honestly, the number of counters he faces in the game is incredibly frustrating for me in solo queue.

I just got out of a match where I snowballed hard, but in the late game, I was completely shut down by a Caitlyn and a Yasuo with absolutely no chance for counterplay.

I’m not the type of person to blame the universe for things I should be handling myself, but this has been frustrating me for a long time; I know factors like positioning, dodging, and bans play a role. So, I genuinely want some help with this.

For the crit build should I sell boots and opt for a GA etc or no? I never really know what to go and whether its good to sell boots i guess its situational? but what situations would warrent selling boots? thanks!

i feel as through graves mid game(2 items - 3 items) is quite weak compared to his spike on 4th item(i go IE 4th every game if you need shield bow before 5th item it's a skill issue IMO)

i feel like very early he is good then he falls off a bit with hubris gets back his strength with collector and between collector and LDR/mortal he gets to his weakest point in his game. once you get LDR you become strong again and in 4th IE you become strongest then. thoughts?

Is collector not a troll item? It really seems like it. 5% is not much and stats are dissapointing.

Do you always sell non crit item for BT in late game?

What boots do you run? I prefer omnivamp ones, but movement speed ones also seem strong.

What order of items?

Kinda like the old phase rush ignite , I think it’s pretty good.

Go nimbus cloak + cosmic insight and the speed make a big difference.

Those moments without flash hurt though

Is he just not able to 1v1 them in this scenario? I always struggle, I try to kite but they always get to me

Been having fun on graves just looking up items and runes to use and wondering if there’s any basic advice such as use fleet or dark harvest in xxx matchup or buy this item especially if you run into this champion.
I’m still pretty new to league so remember to buy certain items to counter a threat is hard to remember.
Is there maybe a cheat sheet of any kind?

I am going back to jungle and was wondering if Graves is worth OTPing at the moment? I am having mixed results after not playing him for years. Is it worth putting in the time?

What do you guys recommend doing when games last very long and u finish crit. Is selling boots good or selling a crit item for something like GA a good idea.
