I love support zoe. Cause i get dark harvest.

After coming out of a Hwei lane with my lead gone thanks to jg/supp ganks, my adc tells me that the Zoe pick was grief into this comp because she cannot side lane. It ticked me off quite a bit. Yes, she sucks in the side lane. But GRIEF?? Cmon now. It has me thinking though. Besides the "don't pick zoe into 2+ tanks" or smth, are there other reasons to avoid picking Zoe? Currently thinking of dropping her, but before I do I want this to be addressed. I think my understanding of this champion may be outdated.

I’ve recently started playing Zoe in support and I think i’ve got a hang of her! The only thing I’m completely clueless about is her build.
I’ve been rushing mandate every game, but after that I either go ludens (if im ahead) or i go shurelyas. i take aery because that’s the recommended build on u.gg. thoughts?

I'm ProT3K a Zoe main (2 million mastery points). I've been spending the last two days in the practice tool, trying to push her mechanics to the absolute limit (I love League for this opportunity).

I managed to pull off this incredible input buffering combo: R -> Protobelt + Flash -> Q (to buffer/delay E animation) -> E.

Because of the input buffering, the game gets completely confused. I return to my starting position, and as you know, the bubble gets a massive distance calculated along the wall from the furthest point of my jump. In this clip, it easily reaches the bush between T2 and T3. It might have gone further, but the bubble collided with the dummies. I'm not sure, because at some point the bubble disappeared. That's why I placed dummies there to register the hit.

My main goal in these tests is to make the bubble fly all the way to the enemy fountain (which should take about 7.5 seconds).

I have two questions for my fellow Zoe mains:

1. Has anyone ever tried the exact same max distance variation, and how far did you manage to get?
2. What is the official name of the basic (shorter) version of this trick with E animation cancel near a wall? I couldn't find a proper name for it to give it my own name.

Turns out u/wootio was right about the bubble visually disappearing near the inhibitor (T3), BUT it doesn't actually vanish-it becomes completely invisible and keeps flying!

I changed the starting trajectory. Instead of hugging the wall, I stood further away near the bottom side of the fountain, then used R + Flash towards the top-lane wall to launch the bubble.

• The Result: The bubble flies straight through the top inhibitor, disappears visually near T3, flies invisibly down the middle of the lane (away from the wall where enemies won't expect it), and hits the dummy right at the T2 bush!

It seems the max distance isn't capped as harshly as we thought. If you change the initial angle, the bubble can travel an insane distance completely unseen. Day 3 was a massive success!

I'm an emerald vladimir main and I am looking to expand my champion pool and zoe looks interesting.

My current pool is mainly vlad (which I can blind pick and never lose lane) and galio into heavy ap comps, but the lack of early agency on vlad is starting to hurt a bit the higher I climb.

Most coaches online recommend zoe for emerald+ climbing, and recently I faced a zoe challenger smurf and he really gave me a tough time in mid (I didn't die to him once and went even on cs but he just ignored me and kept making plays top and bot).

I know syndra is a safe pick but I just don't like playing her, so would zoe be a good addition to the pool alongside vlad and galio? And if so how much practice do I need to be somewhat profecient with her?

Zoe mid 67% winrate, zoe is so fun to play!! (ik platinum is nothing but for me its Achievement)

I really don’t understand the hype about Zoe support. Before level 6 I feel like I lack the damage to actually fight botlane and even in small trades I get out ranged. If the enemy support has a brain cell he can just eat up my combo and engage back and it’s game over. Also before 6 I think roams are not that effective since I will never be able to get in range to land a long ass Q after sleeping someone from across the map.

After 6 yes I can see the roaming potential but is it really worth it to completely give up the laning phase, hope my adc can survive solo botlane while I roam all of this while being like 4 levels under enemy laners at minute 20?

Item wise, mandate doesn’t even feel that good to me idk and the other ap items are still kinda expensive so it is hard to get going with the build.

The most fun I had was with dark harvest + gathering but even that doesn’t even come close to the dopamine spikes of winning a laning phase and actually being able to one shot people.

Any tips or recommendations? I usually ban morgana. Build is typically mandate, horizon/lichbane + whatever (with what gold am I supposed to build a 4th item is a mistery to me)
