⨠Pride & Possibility āØ
Pride is about celebrating who we are, where we've been, and the connections that help us feel at home.
Whether you're newly out, comfortably settled into your identity, looking for your person, or simply hoping to meet other queer women who get it, there's a seat for you here.
Because chemistry isn't just sparks, it's communication, curiosity, and knowing how to make someone feel wanted.
We're keeping it cozy, grown, and intentional.
When you introduce yourself, include:
⢠Age range
⢠Timezone
⢠What you're looking for (friends, dating, flirting, community, etc.)
⢠One green flag about you
⢠One small thing that makes you melt
House Rules
Mods and Reddit can't verify identities. If you move to private messages, please take steps to confirm the person you're talking to is real. Don't share personal or identifying information unless and until you feel comfortable, if ever.
This post will stay up for 3 months and will be replaced with a new Flannel Bar thread. During that time, other dating or "looking for" posts will be removed so everything stays in one place.
Be kind. Be honest. Respect boundaries.
And enjoy your time at the bar. šš

Today, the mods voted on a rule change to the sub. Rule 3 has been expanded to include any post or comment not just directed at one person but, in general, the singling out of a member of our community. This now means that content in the nature of "Would you date ____", "Am I ___ if I don't like ____", "I don't find ____ attractive",etc. are not allowed. The bottom line is that there is someone out there for everyone, and often, these posts are used by terfs and other assholes to make people feel excluded or unwanted.
The rules now are as follows:
Rule 1 - Any form of discrimination will not be tolerated.
Rule 2 - Trans women are women
Rule 3 - The singling out of an individual or a group from the community is not allowed
Rule 4 - No posts or comments attempting to restrict others' definitions of self.

Hi! I'm F22 and I've never been in a relationship, let alone kissed a girl. I've been working on myself for a while nowālosing weight, exercising, and trying to improve my skin and hairābut I still don't feel attractive enough. Part of me wonders if that's why no one's ever been interested in me.
I'd really appreciate some honest feedback. What are your first impressions, and what do you think I could improve?

Iām not sure if itās just the area Iāve moved to but it seems like every lesbian I meet these days is a Christian. Which I usually donāt discriminate and tend to be very open to other religions. But the last girl that I dated that was a Christian would claim to be open about our differing beliefs (Iām spiritual and like tarot, that type of stuff) but then she would randomly say things like āYou should give God another chanceā and āmy sexuality is something I struggle with when it comes to my faith.ā Sometimes she would say transphobic things as well.
I mean, it is honestly invalidating and exhausting to be expected to support and coddle someone elseās identity crisis. It also sucks to hear them say queerphobic and invalidating things about our sexuality while theyāre actively having sex with you.
Iām only saying this because I just started talking to someone new and she just told me sheās a Christian, and I honestly donāt think I wanna risk going through that again. I donāt even know how to respond to her text tbh.

I just saw a TikTok that pissed me off and I wanted to talk about it. In it a straight girl talked about how there's too many shows centering queer people and too many queer plots, that she doesn't care and that representation is pushed everywhere even if it doesn't serve the plot. She said she sees a lot of series that only have queer characters and that when there are only gay people she can't relate, that she feels discriminated against and that she feels like she has to change her sexuality to relate.
Jesus Christ there's so many fucking shows with only straight people in them go watch them and stop bitching about it. It pissed me off so much because you don't have to relate to everything and not every show has to be for you. For years there was no representation and saying there's so much is an exaggeration to me. And I'm sorry she feels discriminated because her sexuality wasn't represented in some random tv show?? Queer people aren't represented everywhere either. Most shows and movies are aimed for straight people. Can't we have one fucking thing to ourselves? She doesn't even know what real discrimination feels like. I live in a country where meeting other gay people is hard and where I'm anxious about the future. I'm anxious that I won't find a girlfriend or if I'll ever be able to marry my girlfriend if I have one or whether or not my rights could be completely taken away in the future. Straight people don't have to worry about that. They don't have to worry about coming out to their families and whether or not they'll be accepted. They don't have to worry about being harassed on the street if they go out with their partner. Saying she feels discriminated against because of some show didn't include straight people is insane.
Maybe I am overreacting but it pissed me off hard and I needed to vent. I don't think my friends who are straight would see it as relevant to them so I'm doing it here.

The kitten distribution system heard I needed a gaming buddy and matched me up with a small crackhead! His name is Dante and I'm obsessed with him.

Who came out as bi-sexual and then fully realized later that the opposite gender is of no appeal?
I had never been with a woman until just recently. Before then I was "bi" but after being with her... I finally felt the things that you're supposed to feel when connecting with another human. The overwhelming anxiety never reached me. I felt peace. The wave of shame was gone. I felt passion. The disconnect from my body didn't make an appearance. I felt more present than I'd ever been before.
The desire I have for her is insurmountable. To have the opportunity to be with a woman is... I wish I had the words to describe the pure magic that occurs every time I touch her body or feel her skin under my lips.
I cannot fathom a timeline where I'd be anything but sapphic. Lucky for me, I have been positively ruined by a goddess.
So no, I've never actually been bi-sexual. I just hadn't had a chance to experience the true power of a woman.

My soon-to-be ex roommate/friend and I matched with the same person on Tinder.
Context: I had already mentioned to her about who I was speaking with briefly, but very briefly because I prefer to keep my dating life private. She had forgotten we both were talking already by the time they matched. She told me about her. I said we were talking. She kept her distance. We laughed it off. Haha small world. Moving on.
I invited The Match over to my place. All was well, we had a good time or so I thought. The Match decided to invite herself into my ex roommateās DMās. I was told by The Match it was all under platonic intentions. Okay.
They spontaneously decide to go to the movies together to hangout. Okay.
The Match decided to text me one night afterwards, stating I was ātoo distantā, despite me communicating with her many times how I was stressed and depressed from my current circumstances. She never mentioned once how she had started flirting with my roommate the entire time. She always kept saying they were speaking as friends.
My roommate never said anything to me, either.
I lowkey canāt help but feel dumb over feeling so upset with this situation.
At this point, Iām more devastated over how nobody felt the urge to be honest about how they were feeling from the get go. Would that have still hurt? Yeah, of course, but not as much as knowing things were developing behind my back. I didnāt need to know the details. I just wanted honesty from the very beginning.
Iām trying to move on, already have dates set up with other women in my area. Already set up my date to move back in with my family this month. My roommate and I were already showing signs of incompatibility but this situation put me over the edge. I cannot live with someone whoās going to be sneaky if my date decides to start wooing them. Weāre all adults here, why did anybody have to move this way?
Oh well. Dear roommate, you won, congrats. Hope youāre happy. Iām just gonna move on and away from this whole ordeal and every single individual involved. Letting the emotions out through my body has been tough, though. Iāve been looking into rage rooms. So far, smoking weed, being in nature, and hanging out with my actual loved ones has been helping.

While it's something I'll eventually talk about with people I know in real life, I wanted to talk a little with people who may have experienced something similar to what I've been through.
I am 22 years old, I have known that i'm sapphic since I was 6 years old, but as many people have said, it's much easier to realize that you like women than to realize that you don't like men.
It wasn't until I was 18 that I had a boyfriend and dates with men, even going so far as to have consensual sex with them. Whenever that happened, I would always fall into a deep depression because I wanted to cease to exist in order to erase his traces from me. I thought maybe i was asexual, that maybe he wasn't the right man.
I recently started talking to my friends about this, about how I'd never had an orgasm with a man, how I hated kissing them, and how uncomfortable it was when they asked for hugs or physical contact, but I thought it was normal, that hating your boyfriend for being incompetent was normal.
I thought I was bisexual, so I have experience dating women, who clearly meant everything to me; I don't even need to explain how beautiful a lesbian relationship is. I thought that's how the world worked, I believed that we could only fall in love with women because they are so beautiful and perfect, and that men had to be chosen, like just had to pick one and pretend that he's the one.
Seeing it like this, in this way, it seems so simple, but it was a very difficult path. because you do have feelings! They're not romantic, but when you grew up being the weird, ugly girl, getting male validation makes you feel normal, And you start to crave that validation, mistaking it for love.
On my journey I am still separating the idea that I need to look good to be loved. the idea that if I am not sexualized then I am not loved.
i'm sure of what i am, and since i came out i feel more relaxed. just wanted to share my feelings and journey in case somebody needed this! The sun will rise for everyone. š

I(27) am back on the dating apps after my first wlw relationship and Iām having trouble feeling confident enough to date women again.
Iāve only dated one woman before, and Iām scared itāll be my last because Iām too much of a pussy with women. Iām also not physically, mentally, academically or financially where I want to be in life. Iām actively working on myself, but I fear since Iām not the complete package I canāt possibly compete in the dating scene.
I have zero romantic attraction towards men, but I find myself lowering my standards and turning the men option on because I enjoy the instant gratification. But the thought of a man touching me is revolting!
Iām never gonna get a gf if my insecurities keep limiting me!
So would you date someone like me who doesnāt have their life all figured out yet?
How do you build confidence and allow yourself to love again after your first wlw relationship?
Edit: Thank you all for the amazing words of encouragement!! You all gave me the confidence boost I needed to believe in myself and I feel so much better putting myself out there now.
I will continue to grow and heal so I have the confidence and security to find a beautiful woman to date instead of wasting energy on men!
And hello to all my fellow army out there! lol

we were together for 9 months (3 getting to know each other and 6 officially dating), this was my longest relationship ever bcs ppl always lose interest in me or break up always bcs of the same reason: they just see me as a friendĀ
my ex-gf said she was in the relationship partly bcs inertia and that her feelings didn't really develop like she wanted to, AFTER 9 FUCKING MONTHS
she said the same as others: you did nothing wrong, i love you as a person and friend, u are an amazing partner, i want you in my life, it's not you, etc. but I'm the common denominator, I don't know what hurts more anymoreĀ
I lost my gf and also reopened an old wound at the same time. I feel so unlovable, they say that I'm very lovable but then why didn't u love me. I'm just going nuts. i wish she had thought about this before, in just one month we were moving together with a friend to another city, now my parents and my friend convinced me to stay home as I'm not stable
my life plan for this next year is completely destroyed and changed in one day, that's also driving me mad
im in so much pain
i feel like i cant get her out of my mind, i want to just digest this and keep going on, but i remember her every little thing i do or see, im so tired
and tbh, she was a bad partner, she has ADHD, and always prioritized herself and her things, even when it hurt me, our mutual friends don't understand why she acted like she did and are kinda mad at her but trying not to take sides. also I did so many things for her and sacrificed so much and worked so hard, and she couldn't do that for me, nobody sees me as enough as to put in a little effort
im just so sad, so tired
I don't wanna go through this again but i love love, and i love being in relationships, though i really haven't been in a real one it seems, and I'm fucking 24 years old
i feel so unlovable and like im never enough

Okay so boom (sorry just wanted to add a reference in this)
I was dating this girl and we were talking about love island so she asked me my favorite character, I said Kayda and I was telling her about the fight video and she was like āyeah she seems hood.ā That was the first red flag for me and threw me off so I straight up asked her if she had ever been racist because that seems like a micro aggression.
She said āNo but my friend does say the n word and I correct herā Mind you her friend isnāt black so I told her that was really fucking weird, so she did end up cutting off that friend cause I called it out but I still broke up with her because she had been friends with this person for OVER a year while she was actively being racist. Iām not sure if she admitted that because Iām white and she thought I wouldnāt call it out or notice it but I sure tf did
I KNOW I wasnāt wrong but everyoneās telling me it was a āoverreactionā and Iām starting to feel guilty like guys pls reassure me this wasnāt an overreaction. Lemme not even mention our agegap in this bc whew. This is such a stupid fucking post but everyoneās making me feel guilty bc she was so āsweetā with me and that was only the first red flag (BUT THE BIGGEST)

27F Asian UK, Yorkshire and I have only ever kissed a girl. I have gone by āstraightā my whole life but deep down Iāve known Iāve always wanted to hook up with a woman.
I am so new to this but before settling down I just want a hookup. This probably isnāt the best place to find a hookup as Iām so worried about catfishes and lurking men!!
How do I go about this and are lesbians actually down to hookup with no strings attached?

I love masculinity in women I love it. I think it is so sexy. I go crazy when I see super masc or butch women I eat it up every single time. Lately I feel people are only ok with masculinity in women as long as they still hold onto some parts of femininity and that's not right!! I don't want no pretty princess I want a knight in shining armor. I love the contrast of aesthetics between my femininity and her masculinity. I can't wait till I meet the butch I'm gonna marry I'm so excited!!
