Art/Creators Megathread Weekly Art/Creators Promo Megathread

Welcome to this Week's Art/Creators Promo Megathread!

Here you can share examples of work and links to creator's profiles (including your own!) as long as it is not on a Meta owned platform (Instagram, Facebook etc.) or Twitter.

Let's help our community artists, authors, designers, craft makers, musicians, singers, sculptors, performers, streamers and any other kind of creator get recognised and celebrate the amazing creativity in our community!

A few quick rules:

  • No AI/NFT Content.
  • Accounts shared must be creating own content, not solely reposting others.
  • NSFW Suggestive art (e.g. shirtless/pin up) is allowed but must be tagged. NSFW Explicit art (e.g. pornography, genitals visible) or NSFW suggestive of real people is not allowed. No links to exclusively 18+ platforms e.g. OnlyFans.
  • Creator must be actively posting on a platform other than Meta or Twitter.
  • Comments from users with less than 50 karma on this subreddit will be auto-removed to avoid spammers. (I will look to approve genuine ones when possible but no promises!)
  • Please respect if a creator says no reposts of their work - just share a link.

The art/work they create does not have to be LGBTQ+ related, we're here to help any creator who is LGBTQ+ promote their profiles, particularly if they're trying to establish themselves on a different one with the recent social media drama!

Looking forward to discovering some new creators with you all!

Stop with the "All homophobes are secretly closeted gay people" bullshit.

1.0k Upvotes

Yes. Lindsay Graham was gay. It was an open secret, and is now 'confirmed'.

But that has seemingly given credence to the people who insist on blaming homophobia on gay people, and it's fucking disgusting. Some people are just hateful. They do not need a deep seated social-emotional reason to be hateful.

Edit: idk why I have to clarify this, because I never said anything to even remotely suggest it, but this is not a blanket statement.

Yes, SOME homophobes are closed gay people. Denying that would be stupid. Thankfully, I'm not denying that. So please stop commenting the study that says some homophobes are closeted gay people. We know.

⚠ Content Warning: {describe here} Most cops are way more of a danger than us Spoiler

There has been a video floating around recently that’s allegedly real even though I think it’s personally AI bullshit made by the right wing as propaganda where a person with blue hair is clearly having a mental Episode in this stupid fuck face cop makes the situation worse by threatening violence against her, cause out pepper spray, and everything. The worst part is, they are allegedly not even the fucking suspect.

So why is this fucking asshole can’t bothering her? This is why I believe cops are not only useless, but they are a threat to safety of multiple groups of people Black people, disabled people queer people take your pic. They meet us and they want to perform violence against us like what’s in this video they are thugs with badges and it’s terrifying that this country allows this shit to happen and has forever tbh.

Need Advice i (18m) am trans and my mother is disapproving

Post image

I dont know what to do anymore. I dont know if this is the right place to post this, and if it is not, I sincerely apologize. My mom and I have been fighting and shes aware that ive been struggling with mental health i wont go into detail but ive been going to get check ins. She doesn’t support me for being trans and yesterday I crashed out on her because she hurt me with a lot of the stuff she said because I think she has been manipulating me but im unsure. She always tells me shes sorry shes such a bad mother and I want her dead so I really dont know. But she has been telling me my friends wont be there until the end but she will, that I always choose them over her, and that they only tell me what I want to hear. She said so much bizarre things like the devil is speaking through me and getting into my head and that im unhappy with her if she doesnt agree to every little thing i do (idk where this came from because it is inherently not true, while i dont condone it, my mom supports ice and trump) which I think might be the reason for the differing opinions?? im unsure and then she was speeding and started jerking in the car saying i wont be happy until she is dead and that we will always have a bad relationship. I dont know and then after these big arguments she tells me she loves me I really dont know. I dont think my friends are bad influences i dont know what to do, i have a boyfriend i really love, and im contemplating just throwing everything away and giving in. I really love my boyfriend but my mom would never approve of him. I was telling my mom all these things about how she guilttrips me but she always says its just the truth and i really dont know what to do i was on the streets a while ago and none of my family checked in on me and my mom cut my service off, my bf and my friends were so worried for me so i went back even though I ran away. I dont know im just scared this is what she texted me after everything. I would like to clarify I do have a good mother, she just wants whats best for me and had a future planned out for me, it is probably hard for that to be shattered for her. Like she said, she gave up everything for me and so I am just seeking for advice on how to navigate this.

Edit: thank you for the responses its made me realize some things. I don’t want to live the life in my lenses of my mom, and I think I was starting to believe that I was filled with hatred or something because the things shes been telling me, but I am realizing I am being manipulated. Thank you for all the responses, they make me want to reevalute everything. It is just difficult to think of even leaving my mother because she really threatens to khs, but now I realize if I want to be happy in life I have to make that change for myself. I really appreciate it all, and it means a lot to me, as I haven’t been able to talk about this thoroughly I try to avoid talking to this with people I know on a personal level. Thank you all.

How do you handle "moderates" who treat any support for trans people as throwing away elections?

It keeps coming up and I hate it. I miss being in the Overton Window.

Need Advice My parents support my younger sibling experimenting with their gender, but don't support my identity at all.

So my younger sibling has recently been questioning their identity and view themselves as genderfluid. They were AMAB, so they are experimenting with feminine pronouns and clothing styles. I am glad that my parents are buying affirming clothing and being supportive! Sibling has done nothing wrong. But I am hurt by the selective support my parents have, and it almost feels like a double standard.

I am transmasc, so basically the other way around as opposed to my sibling. When I tried explaining my identity to my parents a couple years ago, they threw a FIT. My mom told me I was "betraying women", my stepdad said that being a man would make me "ugly and an asshole", and both of them broke down into tears as if I did something wrong or violated them. They don't bother respecting my pronouns, identity, nothing. I just don't understand why they would have the opposite reaction with my sibling's identity. They seem to be allies for everybody except for me, and I just don't understand why.

All in all I'm just happy my sibling has grown up in a healthy supportive environment, but I'm hurt that my parents provided the complete opposite. What do you guys think? Has anyone experienced this before?

Need Advice Do I belong

I’m 21M. Recently discovered that I’m open to having sex with other men. I only have romantic attraction and sexual attraction towards women, and the male body doesn’t turn me on. However, I enjoy sex with men. I enjoy the sensations and just the fact that it’s sex. It’s not about the partner, it’s about the sex. I did some research and people like me call themselves “heteroflexible”. I wonder if I belong to the LGBTQ community. I want to, I want to be a part of this amazing community, but I don’t know if it’s accurate or fair to say I’m bisexual or part of this community.

Also I apologize if what I said was in any way offensive. I’m very new to exploring my own sexuality.

What do yall think?
