Like the general community requested certain changes or add ons onto a game, the developers listened and implemented those request, and then the game ended up being worse than it was before those changes?

This rotation works for me because the two pull in opposite directions. An ARPG is an inward, selfish sort of pleasure, all about your character and your loot and your own power creeping upward, while a horde game gives you the same of clearing blobs of massed units but still fundamentally different in design. You are building something and then defending it, and the stakes sit outside you instead of in a bigger number. 

One runs on reflex and greed, the other on planning and that low hum of dread before a wave hits. They tire out completely different parts of me, so when one goes stale the other feels fresh precisely because I have not been using those brain muscles.

What two genres do you flip between that have no business working together on the surface but keep that gaming fatigue away for you?

Khajiit went to all the Holds and married every single guard I could find and then tracked down and married a bunch of Imperials and Stormcloaks. When I had decided to have a final wedding(for now) and marry Lydia I summoned them to wish us well. There’s actually a bunch more but the left left earlier in the service, I can’t wait to lead my new family into battle😂
