Counter strike, farm 3 losses and then go to bed emotionless and without brushing teeth

Was thinking about getting back into CS recently with the new build 😁

Helldivers 2. Bots. Super helldive.

4

u/_BIackstar 8h ago

I’ve yet to ā€œdiveā€ into that game. See what I did there… šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø but I wanna try this game out too. Heard many good things!

7

u/The-No-God 8h ago

Don’t hold your breath. Jump in. It’s beyond incredible. Such insane attention to detail and the biggest adrenaline rush of all game time.

2

u/postpwnedmalone 7h ago

Hey I haven't played since last summer, have been seeing it's a better game now to get back into, is there a good place to go to catch up on changes? I couldn't really find too much coverage on the sub lol

Will always hold a special place in my heart. Characters and voice lines are so memorable.

I’ve never laughed so hard as I have playing TF2. I play medic specifically and the kind of things you do and see are just absurd.

Mad max. Sometimes you just have to brutally murder a hundred war boys before riding off into the night in a post apocalyptic car with a hunchback carrying a bazooka strapped to the rollbars

Dark Souls.

The game doesn't give a fuck about your life outside, demands all of your attention, and awards you immensely for playing well. Put it on and disappear for an hour.

Assassins Creed. The brainless collectible hunt helped me through a lot of rough days. Especially the ones in Valhalla

3

u/Announcement90 8h ago

Minecraft. Sometimes with a podcast in the background, but mostly with the wonderful and chill soundtrack running.

3

u/ComprehensiveKnee284 8h ago

The hunter: call of the wild. Just wander the forest and relax, no grinding

2

u/_BIackstar 8h ago

I never got to try this but thanks for the suggestion!

2

u/emorazes 5h ago

Same here. Rifle, Binos, Bow, tent and just wonder across maps. Cant beat it.

2

u/ComprehensiveKnee284 5h ago

Exactly. Got all the dlcs on sale for a couple bucks at a time and no matter the mood I'm in I can find a map to wander. People don't get it

3

u/Frankyvander 8h ago

Wolfenstein Young Blood.

Simple gameplay, decent gunplay and running around blasting nazis is fun

3

u/OoTgoated 8h ago

A Zelda game probably. Or StarFox or Metroid.

3

u/FangProd 7h ago

Recently it’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint.

It’s such a great feeling to play immersive mode, turn off the HUD and go in a random direction and try to take over a base somewhere. I usually do solo but adding a teammate once a while is fun.

Graphics are great as well which really helps with the tactical Barbie feeling of outfitting your character.

Just great overall!

4

u/Kurunchu 8h ago

For me, it’s No Man’s Sky – I know I can always find a Gek with a funny name

2

u/Selvane 8h ago

Probably old school runescape or something nostalgic like pokemon or halo

3

u/_BIackstar 8h ago

Playing PokƩmon red now haha

2

u/RumpSteak0 8h ago

Renegade X

2

u/_BIackstar 8h ago

I’ve heard good things about this game. Thanks for the reminder!

2

u/R00kridge 8h ago

Beam.NG or GT4.

2

u/Ant_dk 8h ago

Binding of Isaac

2

u/_BIackstar 8h ago

I could easily drift away in Diablo IV. GIMME THAT GEAR!

2

u/2006CrownVictoriaP71 8h ago

Hitman: World of Assassination.

2

u/Delicious_Bar_8788 8h ago

Farming simulator 25. Seems incredibly boring (95% of the game is driving back in forth in straight lines.), but it's oddly satisfying and relaxing. Second place goes to satisfactory. Something appealing about watching a well oiled machine of industry at work. 😊

Hades 2 most likely, just one run, then another, then maybe one more....

2

u/darren_flux 8h ago

Guild Wars 2. That's like my digital home

u/KhaysS 8h ago

Wow Hardcore

2

u/Belazoid 8h ago

Warframe, just some steel path and relic cracking

2

u/Hotshot596v2 8h ago

Here recently, Monsters Hunter Wilds. I haven’t been able to game recently, kinda just come home and play on my phone infront of my tv, till I had a friend recommend me MH Wilds.

Now I actually look forward to coming home and playing games again right now.

Animal Crossing

2

u/Zomb1stuv 7h ago

Conan Exiles especially in a PVE server. Building things helps to rewire my bad mood because if I can't control the bullshit of the day, at least I can control what my house looks like.

2

u/fredw1019 7h ago

Marvel Rivals, I get to run double tanks with my youngest son🄹

2

u/tohn_jitor 7h ago

Whatever I'm currently playing at the moment. Otherwise, I load up a save file of the last mission of Mass Effect 3, and I let my M-7 Lancer sing the Reapers to oblivion.

2

u/surewhydafuqnot 5h ago

I fucking love that gun, I'm currently playing Mass Effect 2 and just got re acquainted with the Mattock..... Pure. cranium. popping. bliss

2

u/tohn_jitor 5h ago edited 5h ago

For that, I use the silencer with the headshot muzzle. Lightweight and powerful. It's what I use on the mirror match in Armax Arena for farming credits.

EDIT: Oh, you meant ME2.

2

u/Gu1n3ss 7h ago

Mass Effect

2

u/bugman_850 8h ago

Ball x Pit

1

u/DemiFiendAstar 8h ago

I have quite a few games for this.

Kinda mid-term length struggle? Super Mario RPG.

I just need an hour or so of being a god to get over this? The first four (especially first three on SNES) Mega Man X games. If it takes more than one, that's okay.

Sometimes i want to drink to get over things and for some reason during this time if I am alone I will play Trauma Team on the Wii U. The OST had no reason to go so hard and some of the mechanics get me so focused and actually stress out my arm to the point where I forget about what I was frustrated about. Or with other people, games like Mario Party or any of the Wii Sports style games can be quite relaxing.

Just a few examples

1

u/Mr_b78 8h ago

Depends on what kind of bad day I'm having but, it could be either no man's sky, gta v, prison architect or something off my dreamcast.

1

u/Silentwonderer_2021 8h ago

Elden ringšŸ˜‚šŸ¤£ why stop at terrible

1

u/IceFisherP26 8h ago

Any game that I can instantly just turn off without having to save first if I need to just shut down.

1

u/kurvix2000 8h ago

Obviously Helldivers 2.

1

u/galan0 8h ago

Star Fox 64

1

u/raptorrat 8h ago

It used to be IL-2. (The old school, and BOX) but that is made by 1C, which is a Russian state company. So, yeah...

Been rotating games ever since. Though, I do keep getting back to cities Skylines 1. It's like digital bonsai, you tweak the city a bit, and let it run, then tweak some more.

1

u/Reasonable_Duck_236 8h ago

PokƩmon champions or dead by daylight.

1

u/Asleep_Log1377 7h ago

DayZ so I can walk around in the woods.

1

u/HealthySetup 7h ago

Easy answer for me is Tetris. Puyo Puyo Tetris specifically, just running through the campaign on a loop. Something about blocks falling in time with chiptune music just shuts everything off in my head. I used to play it on the bus home after rough shifts at my old job and the combo of motion and the puzzle wiped out whatever was bothering me before I hit my stop.

Honorable mention goes to PowerWash Simulator which sounds dumb but it's the same thing, just a meditative task list. Your brain finally gets to stop running worst case scenarios and instead worries about soap ratios. Way better than zoning out on my phone and doomscrolling.

A beat ā€˜em up game. Mindless and satisfying.

1
