So today i decided it was time to take the PS4 Pro off the table and replace it with a PS5 Pro. Not going to lie, i'm a bit of a larper and the only reason i even got it was to play GTA 6 once it releases, i will still try to make the most of it while i'm at it tho. So, i next i plan on getting AC Black Flag and FC27 (Ew i know) once it releases to give the thing some action. I'm also rethinking going back to the store and picking up a disc module for the giggles.

So as many of us can say, ps4's era was incredible due to a variety of amazing exclusive games and returning worlds such as GOW. Or the TLoU sequels spiderman and such, but especially because it also had Bloodborne, on a tier of it's own.

According to a study by the Canadian Conservation Institute (CCI), read-only Blu-ray discs are expected to remain usable for 10 to 20 years. A read-only disc, or BD-ROM, comes with pre-recorded digital data, such as a movie or game. So, based on CCI's observations, physical PS4 and PS5 discs may only last up to two decades.

Part of the reason video game discs are harder to preserve is how they work. Since a BD-ROM game requires constant and consistent data transmission, even minor damage to a critical area could make the entire game unplayable. Blu-ray technology is also more vulnerable to physical damage because data is stored on a fairly thin layer. The CCI noted that "A study looking at the stability of Blu-ray media has shown that overall, BD-Rs have rather poor stability compared to some CD-Rs and DVD±Rs."

I don’t have alot of physical but when I do it’s for the artwork for me. I realize when we go all digital we won’t get the deluxe sets anymore, which means no more artbooks, steel books, sound tracks, the extra stuff you buy when you have deluxe, I only have 2 games I was lucky enough to get when they had the deluxe option.

200 + tax in this economy for a game that’s been actually same for past years is diabolical. Who’s ass even buying this shit.

how do i restore my games that are locked up that i bough on ps store. they dont even show up in library unless i search them and when i do they are locked up. when i try to dowloand them i end up being in ps store and it shows me the price like i never owned the game and i literally bought it. i already tried the license thing

Every time I try to invite my friend to my game it states that he is already in my game party/group, but he is not. This has happened on two separate games and we cannot play together at the moment. Does anyone have a fix for this?

I've been collecting physical PlayStation games for years and have always preferred owning discs. But with Sony reportedly ending physical game production from 2028, I'm starting to wonder if it's time to make the switch.

Part of me thinks going fully digital would make the transition to the PS6 much smoother. Assuming PS5 digital games carry over, I'd have my whole library ready to go without worrying about discs. I also have a PlayStation Portal, and streaming/accessing digital games is definitely more convenient.

On the other hand, I really enjoy collecting physical games and having something tangible on my shelf.

Has anyone else already decided to go fully digital because of this? Or are you planning to keep buying physical games for as long as they're available? I'd love to hear your reasons either way before I decide.

Usually doesn't go on sale a lot. I was wondering if it's worth buying since I'm into heavy combat mechanics and I like games like god of war, Elden ring, ghost of Tsushima, etc. I've heard the story is weak, but it's not that bad. Should I pick it up?

Holy sht, the Pantheons were genuinely designed to make you lose your fcking mind. I am so pissed off right now, this is absolute hell.

Look, Hollow Knight is a masterpiece. If you haven't played it yet, take my advice: finish the main game and stop right there. Do NOT touch the Pantheons.

This is literally the first time in my life I’ve had the urge to throw my controller straight through my TV screen and leave it lodged in the middle of it. Pantheon 4 is full of brainrot BS. Every single boss is an absolute a**hole. They’re not even just "hard" they literally just spam the entire arena with attacks while jumping directly into your face.

I’ve been stuck on P4 for 6 hours straight, well over 100 attempts, and it feels like I’m actually getting worse every time. I honestly think by the time I actually reach Pantheon 5, I’ll be at 100 hours of playtime. And just to beat P5? It’s gonna take another 50 hours, and I am not even f*cking joking.

The only way to beat these guys is through pure muscle memory and insane reflexes watching YouTube guides doesn't do sh*t for me. But the worst part? By the time I focus enough to learn a hard boss at the end, my brain completely forgets how to fight the hard bosses at the beginning.

Do not play the Pantheons. I was loving this game so much until this bullsh*t.

Seriously, I don't know who's a bigger a**hole: the person who invented Pantheon 5 or me for actually trying to beat it. Wow, what a genius idea putting EVERY single boss in the game back-to-back, with faster versions, and saving the 5 hardest bosses for the very end. 42 bosses in a row without dying is truly a stellar concept, congrats. But that's not even the worst part. The worst part is me doing all this shit just to get a virtual trophy that means absolutely nothing, just to say I platinumed the game. A trophy nobody will ever look at because I have no friends, and even if someone did see it, they wouldn't give a damn or even know what game it is. Thanks a lot, Hollow Knight Pantheons.

Hi everyone! A friend of mine is lending me his PS4 so I can try it out, and if I enjoy it, I’m planning to buy a PS5. If I create MY OWN account on HIS PS4 and buy "GTA: The Trilogy", once I get my PS5 and sign in with my account, can I transfer the game to my PS5 and remove my account from his PS4?

It has been very warm inside my home and the Playstation is very warm when in use.
