Advice Cat attacking automatic feeder

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

My cat does this several times a day. If the automatic feeder lifts at the correct angle, a few niblets of dry food comes out. He will even do it 10 times in a row even if it means one small piece of dry niblet comes out. It does get quite annoying as the sound of the feeder hitting the ground echoes throughout the entire house.

Any ideas on how to get him to stop?

Born under a neighbours decking these babies were seen about a week ago exploring her garden, within 48 hours my partner and I successfully trapped and fostered 4 kittens and a mama (who is very obviously pregnant again).

All of our local rescues are full so we’ve become emergency placements 🤣

Mama is struggling with separation, so we’re placing one kitten on with her every couple of hours and this working to help them both, mum is now going longer between frantic searching for her babies.

One of the kittens (Long haired Ginger) was struggling to feed so has gone to a more experienced fosterer and is doing really well.

Mama will be neutered (and termination) next week.

And these little three have gone from hissy murder mittens to love bugs in less than a couple of days. Will be ready for adoption in the coming weeks, we’ve fallen in love with the little short haired ginger and he will be staying with us and our two resident cats who have actually taken to the current lodgers really well.

Only said to my partner a couple weeks ago that it would be wonderful to find a litter… whoops!!

Names
Mama - Doris
Grey - Dio (f)
Black - Ozzy (m)
Short haired Ginger - Axl (m)
Long haired Ginger - Lemmy (m)

Advice Male pattern baldness

My boy Toby has always had these deep bald spots. And slowly as he has gotten older he has developed what look like age spots. His vet didn't seem concerned during his last check up. Has anyone seen this before?

Cat Picture - OC My parents fed a feral orange gal... she went on to have orange girls 😍

Mama on left, daughter on right. Mama also had 2 other orange gal cats (they're all indistinguishable), and 1 orange male cat. My parents trapped em' all and took them all in for sterilization (hence the ears), shots, etc. Parents continue to feed/house them... the girls make pretty poses throughout their home (and occasionally will find a bedroom to sleep in), but do not accept pets or cuddles (parents are hoping that changes). The boy is much more affectionate and has bonded with my father. They're all extremely vocal and very smart.

Cat Picture - OC This sub liked Frankie's massive growth in only 6 weeks last time.... so how about 8 years later??

Australian man and Australian cat Frankie. I posted Frankie on this sub 8 years ago, because I was amazed by how much he grew in only 6 weeks!

Frankie got a lot of love from this sub, so I thought I'd give you all an update. Does anyone remember Frankie?? I have a lot more grey hairs these days at age 43, but one thing that didn't change.... Frankie still loves being held like a baby!!

Ps. My old Samsung phone had a camera setting called "Beauty Face" enabled, which I didn't know about for 10 months of owning the phone. 😅😅 Just in case anyone was wondering why the photos from 8 years ago looked "pretty."

Excuse all the lint on my shirt. I’ve been doing laundry all day.

My baby, Sashimi, is all black with two white stripes that go down most of his back and a few stripes on his legs. I’ve never seen markings like this on a cat. Just curious if there’s a name for it.

First photo is his skunk stripes. Second photo is from a few weeks ago, when I first found him/brought him home.

Mourning/Loss I'll miss you Lightning

My 13 year old cat Lightning just died. She'd been acting lethargic and breathing awkwardly the past few days and not eating really at all so we were worried about her. Around two hours ago my mom packed her in a carrier and took her to the vet to get checked out. They gave her something to calm down and help with anxiety and then she was gone. I feel sick and like I'm going to vomit and I don't know how I'll be able to keep it together and go to work tonight.

She was the sweetest, most annoying little gremlin I ever knew. If you had food, she would not stop bugging you to get some, even if you already gave her some but she was still always thin as a post. If you were taking a nap, she'd be laying tight on top of you if she wasn't refusing to settle down. She was our cat that was on your keyboard while you were trying to work. She was the one that sought out the odd peculiar perches or resting spots like on the open dishwasher door or on the drying carpet outside. Now she's just gone and I can't process that. My family is all crying and our dog is barking wrong because she knows something is terribly wrong and I can't deal with it. She leaves behind her last surviving sister Sofia from a litter of four we fostered and adopted 13 years ago (first gone was Isabella who ran away only a few years after we got them, second was Grevious a few years ago who vanished for a few months but turned back up too dehydrated and starved to make it) and a recent stray who followed my sister home last Halloween named Gigi. I can't deal with this and I don't know how I'm gonna stand being alone all overnight with this and I just can't.

My baby is 16 and sat on my lap for the FIRST TIME EVER yesterday. I’m so joyous I thought I’d share this with the world.
We found him in our backyard when he was one and he’s never been an affectionate cat.

Mourning/Loss Had to say goodbye to my girl

I recently had to say goodbye to my 20 year old ginger cat Rosie, I don't know how to explain how I feel to be honest, other than the fact that I miss her.

I grew up with this cat and she has always been by my side. When I moved out for the first time, I took her with me and she has slept at the end of my bed since I was a child. Now my home feels empty.

She originally went missing a week ago, Then her body turned up in my back garden half decomposed as if she was thrown there... I have no idea what happened and I don't think I ever will since I live in the middle of nowhere.

Rest in peace Rosie...

Edit: Thanks everybody for your kind words...

I was petting my cat and found this on him and tried pulling it off but it wouldn't budge. It seems to remove the fur surrounding it and worried it could be a harmful organism, cyst, or something.

Albie was loudest cat I ever had, loved belly rubs and made up for his lack brain cells with his huge personality. Genuinely one of the most fun cats I've ever had and I am devastated to lose him so soon.

He was only 3 years old
