Love the big, why do you name it Cat?

There's 2 main reasons behind this. When my gf and I adopted him from the rescue we found out he was from Texas, so we wanted to give him a southern name. Several names were in the running and I mentioned my great grandfather (from Tennessee) used to go by "Big". My gf and I thought it was cute, and then I remembered Big the Cat is a character from Sonic the Hedgehog and it was settled. He then became known as Big The Cat.

Had one like him. A mutt of a forrest cat. Super friendly, not an ounce of hate in him. He raised dozens of kittens, and one full grown scarred up stray.
