Discussion Community has returned to Netflix on June 24 in Australia/New Zealand, Canada, and possibly other regions. Only the first season is available. All six seasons previously left Netflix Australia/New Zealand and Canada on April 1, 2024.
June 24 edit: The remaining five seasons returned to Netflix in Canada at some point in the first eleven hours since the creation of this post for a total of all six seasons. It might be the case for the other Netflix regions too.

Discussion Who WAS the Boss?
Most shows have a main character or star that the show is built around and it seems that Dan Harmon intended that to be Jeff (or Jefe) What do you guys think?

Appreciation Post Favorite Dean Pelton entrance?
This and what made me think of this on a rewatch.
Britta: “who would want to hangout in a blanket fort with a bunch of boys in their underoos?”
Dean: “hello”

Might not be Harmon’s vibe tho but still

Fan Content For the Jeff/Annie stragglers to this day
All that preciousness on AO3
Anecdotally, it could have been the sacrificial for-show debate kiss that ground Simmons into the ground. Because God forbid he denies the needs of any of these people, much less the teenager with a serious case of neurosis. But it could also have been her busted knee slung precariously over Troy’s lap post-Winter Wonderland brawl, when it really and properly started being a bigger problem than expected.
Season 1 then onwards. Heavy on the inner-cogs of Jeff’s brain through some of their most important moments.
I have to cope somehow after my rewatch lololol.

FanFic Sesh Spin offs you'd like to see
Hello everyone, been re watching the show again for the 40 billionth time as one does, and i started thinking since it's been this long without a movie (still hope they do end up making one) what if someone did a spin off series about a character or two, and so I was thinking a spin off I would personally love to see, is one from the start of Greendale following young hippy Lenard (yes I got the idea from the episode opening when Garrett almost gets killed by the frisbees, and Lenard having a flashback to when he first started coming to Greendale) anyway yeah I think it would be cool to see a spin off series set back then, maybe showing more of Russel Borchart and at the end of the show he could go missing and we see who started the rumour he died from the first computer virus. Anyway yeah that's my pitch. I'd like to hear y'all's thoughts and if y'all have any other spin off ideas you'd like to see.

Discussion Early 21st Century Romanticism (s2e14) "those tatas"?
When Abed and Troy are asking out the librarian and they're having a brief sidebar, does it sound like they mumble something about "those tatas"? (Quite possible given the top she was wearing) Or was it tacos, since that's what they had in the briefcase?

Discussion What is a reference you want to see in the movie and what do you think will definitely be referenced?
I am 100% positive that they will talk about Troy being the one true repairman, I see that as a huge underlying conspiracy and the air-conditioning repair school could be the main antagonist.
As far as what I would like to be referenced, how long is that list? I definitely want Chevy to come back, I would like to see Buddy, a new Inspector Spacetime, and the ACB.

Appreciation Post Just finished my rewatch after almost 8 years
Can't believe it took me nearly a decade to rewatch this show. Anyone else suffer from post-binge spirals? I felt like I spent all 6 years within 2 weeks (I am currently post-op) with the crew. It was worth every second. I hope the movie finally comes out within this lifetime.

Find an Episode/Quote/Etc Posters and Flyers?
Hey y'all!
I'm looking for resources on high quality images of background posters and flyers from the show. I figure someone has done this by now. I'd particularly love to have a print quality version of the 'racism does not compute' poster from the study room, but I'd love to see what else is out there!
Thanksa bunch!

Discussion Why does my 7 yo sister love community
I’ve been re watching community and my little sister just stopped and started watching, which is very unusual. Whenever we try to get her to watch any children’s movie or show she never wants to watch it, she just watches YouTube brainrot creators (blame our parents for that lmao). Any time she sees me watching the show she stops and starts watching with me. Don’t get me wrong I love spending time with her and also her watching something more intellectually challenging for a 7 year old than the stuff she watches on yt (for real though, if you’ve seen that shit you know. It’s like mr beast x20). But to get back to the question, is there like a scientific reason a 7 year old loves a show made for adult audiences so much(specifically community), like when I was her age I just wanted to watch Tom & Jerry. I’m 20 btw I feel like that last sentence made me sound old

Ladders the primer is really funny
The vr episode is one of my favorites in the entire series
The syfy movie is really good too.
Grifting 101 is great
The leaked emails
The Giant hand episode
The prisoners episode
Crisis room
The season only has 2 meh episodes.
Garrett's wedding and the worst of the paint ball episodes and even that isnt that bad

Discussion New watcher complaining (?) pt2
Hi, im 17 and last week i posted here a complaint about how season1 was sexualizing women too much, using them as tools for the will-they/won’t-they bad dynamic.
Now, i want you to take everything i said and scrap it.
I’m halfway through season 3 and oh boy… This show 🥹.
For someone who grew up watching cartoons like The Amazing World of Gumball, seasons 2 and 3 (so far) feels like a live-action more "grounded" Gumball and i love it (not THAT grounded because uhm Zombie virus, Glee virus, Paintball wars and all that stuff) . Being a huge fan of absurd, exaggerated humor im having a blast, the show just so happens to be extremely funny.
Now what i said last time still counts as my opinion for season1 and i really appreciate the people who tried to understand my point of view and explain theirs, it was really fun and interesting to read i thank you all (except the ones calling me ragebait or that i lived in a bubble of rainbows or whatever). I really loved how they made fun of season 1’s weird obsession over couples in the next 2 seasons and also how all the characters flaws (except for my boys Troy and Abed you can’t hate someone who dresses up as Batman to find their lost Dark Knight DVD by breaking into their landlord’s apartment) are used as comic material. And even better the show itself uses itself as comic material and this is awesome. Every character is now a sillier version of their season 1 selves and i think it’s for the better.
I said in the comments of my previous post that i will stop watching after s5 because my favorite Donald Glover is leaving the show…(sad music and sad voice) Although i believe that i should move on and accept that nothing last forever and that the first 5 seasons will still be there to watch…
Anyways, i love the show even more now. Season 1 is still kinda meh on some point but the rest is pure gold. I love the mockumentaries episodes i forgot to mention that before but those are really fun!
I can’t but compare what i watched for 2 seasons (especially s3) with Gumball or even Smiling Friends in some ways regarding the humor (im not sure everyone here will know what im talking about). Also thank god they stopped the cheesy epiphany of the characters at the end of the episodes like every other sitcom where they say some stuff like "It was my fault that [insert plot] and i shouldn’t have been [insert character’s flaw that will never change because we need 6 seasons and a movie]". It’s still there because it’s still a sitcom but i like that they do it less now.
Anyways, thanks for reading my long post i will finish the show if it continues this way.
Much love,
Me.
And yes i don’t capitalize the "i" because im french and i don’t care the message is still very much the same.

Discussion What technique would you use to win the floor is lava?
Chairwalker seems like the most efficient without using too much effort. If you get yourself a nice pair of step stools, or chairs with really short legs, it could also be the least cumbersome.

FanFic Sesh My Pitch for the Community Movie
Greendale is in trouble obviously. Queue the Dean reaching out. We get to see the Greendale 6 living their lives to various degrees of comedy. Big speech from Annie pulls them all together. The fix for Greendale is a Community College decathalon. The team splits into pairs, abed / troy, jeff / britta, annie / shirley. They have various levels of successs until it comes down to a tie. The dean gets to pick the tie breaker. Paint ball obviously. The study group gets back together and gets close to winning but they lose. However, hickey, elroy, frankie, neil, garret, vickie, todd, and starburns are greendale team 2 and manage to win. They celebrate the win with a dance dedicated to leomard. Billion dollar trilogy is born.
