Need Help! How do I make my OC into a 3D model?
I have Blender installed and have NO IDEA how to use it at all. I've watched like over 50 tutorials on how Blender works and still have no idea how it works. I have no money to have someone to make my OC into 3D, but I also don't know how to do it myself. I didn't even start, I don't even have a process at all. So is it even possible for me to make my character at all? If so, I need a good tutorial

Critique My Work Why do I not like my own environments?
Here's an example of my most recent piece I attempted. This was meant as a learning piece, and I did everything in it on my own. Is there anything wrong here as a learning piece? All textures were shader nodes. Am I simply being too hard on myself?

rate my Liquid Ass animation:
i used a pretty simple shader, in Cycles of course. I used a glass bsdf for the Metaballs and i put an emitter to the text, and i also used SF Pro, which is apple's font
This is my first animation that i have not used a tutorial...i now am having a ton of fun with messing with random nodes

Job Offer I'm looking for a Unity 3D modeler.
Hello!
I'm not sure if I can ask this here, but I'm a developer with a small team making a fan game based on a manhwa, and we have funding we received from a Patreon donation and we need a 3D modeler.
We don't have much, so you can't expect much from that. We have about $110 in donations; I can add a little more, but I'm the only team member in Brazil, so I only have 240 reais, That shouldn't cost more than 25 dollars lol
If anyone can help, I would be very grateful.
The work we are doing is the manhwa Pick Me Up Infinity Gacha.

Discussion Help. Discussion. Ai
hey guys, i’m a bit frustrated.
recently i got a contract to make a product prototype.
it’s a guitar pedal, a pretty simple thing.
the client keeps sending me ai generated reference images to show me what he wants, and honestly, i’m at a loss.
no matter what i do, my model is limited by its own nature, if you know what i mean. it just looks like a 3d render, while the ai reference images look almost like real photos.
i’m trying to think of a good analogy. it feels like the client is asking me for a real camera photo, but all i can do is paint. no matter how good the painting is, anyone can tell it’s a painting, not a photograph.
unless i’m rendering close-ups, using cinematic depth of field, or intentionally blurring parts of the model, it immediately gives away that it’s a 3d render.
has anyone else dealt with this?
thank you guys
that was our first sketch - to figure out materials and shapes and all that stuff
first picture is 3d model based on the pedal he sent me
2nd picture - is what he did in chatgpt

Need Help! I need an expert to refine my model & make it print-ready for a v. important gift. Where do I go?
Got this wild idea to make someone's illustration 3-dimensional for a gift without knowing fuckall about Blender. Downloaded Blender, committed ~80 hours to this project, did pretty splendidly for someone who, again, knew fuckall.
The foundation is there. I am so close to it being perfect, I am so very close. But the simplest refinements (minor details, smoothening, an air-tight printability) will take me a lifetime- my ambition exceeds my skillset. I don't wanna ask for help but I must and would never, as an artist, expect it to be for free.
Where does one go for something like this? It's probably the easiest, stupidest job for someone but for me it's been an Olympic effort and I just need it DONE.

Free Tutorials & Guides This is a self-made guide I made out of boredom. ONLY For beginners with like... two days of experience. Most of it is random BUT USEFUL!!!
[x] means you press that key on your keyboard
I have a couple I found out the hard way:
- dont EVER use "Unwrap Angle based"; use LIGHTMAP PACK/SMART UV UNWRAP; SCALE TO BOUNDS
> That's for Textures mapping correctly on surfaces. Access it by Edit Mode [TAB] -> [U]
- Always Render in EEVEE First; Use Ray Tracing 1:8 for the Best results (Found in the Camera/Render tab). Then use Cycles if necessary. This is because a good 92%-ish of the Blender Population doesn't possess a NASA/IBM Quantum Hypercomputer at home
> 64-128 Samples are good. You don't need anything higher than that
- When you import high-poly stuff from SketchFab, ALWAYS uh; so... [A] -> [Control/Command + J] (Join Everything) -> "MODIFIERS"/🔧Tab -> "DECIMATE" -> Decimate to 35-60% of the Whole mesh.
>Why? Because it's a genuine pain in the ass to render it on MATERIAL PREVIEW because it lags too much. ⚠️; Also if you have liquid simulations (explained in the next comment) please decimate it also if your resolution is above 64 (will explain by a video I'll upload; no sound bc my mics broken)
https://youtu.be/7TJo6wq1Y4Q <- Have fun with the water effects. (if you have a slow PC like a Chromebook; PLEASE IGNORE)
HIGHLY Recommend taking Inspo from SketchFab and if your models look good, you can even sell em there (you dont have to)
https://sketchfab.com/feed [MAIN PAGE]
https://sketchfab.com/_rememberWHO_you_is [My page, great Inspo for Animal Hospital/Operation One/Laptop models]

https://sketchfab.com/vmmaniac [For stores/fashion]
https://sketchfab.com/CATholic [Textures]
https://sketchfab.com/rickythunder [Maps]
Also, most people with a pfp there are active and will see your comments. They are better than me in blender. They sometimes have the best advice around
As for hardware, I mentioned using a multi-billion dollar quantum hyper computer. Yes, this may be a bit of a stretch but it's not entirely a lie. I use a 2021 MacBook Pro with pretty powerful specs even today, but I barely get 3FPS once I try to run Water/Air Sims with stuff in the background. Sure, you can delete it or make a new folder for your sims but that's redundant.
You NEED a good PC to run Blender. Sure, as a beginner, maybe not. But once you get good at it; you won't be making low-poly cars or roblox figures. To keep improving your Blender skills, you have to try hard things. That's a no shit, Sherlock. What's also a no-shit Sherlock is you need a good PC to run those. What I'll say next may sound nerdy to most people, but you'll have to get used to PC Specs if you wish to buy a capable PC the next time. Trust me, all worth it.
[SPECS]:
- Intel i7 preferably a Gen 11; Clock Speed Doesn't Matter much 3.2Ghz or more should do
- 24+Gigs of ram (custom PC)/32GB Ram (Pre-Built or Laptop); Dont need a DDR5; stick to DDR4 [IK, RAM Prices are extremely high in the AI Era but Amazon Renewed, Back Market and Micro Center (US Market) all have really good deals)
- My GPU in Windows terms are similar to a GTX 1650 ; Aim for an RTX 2070 ti or higher
- Power Supply should be 700-800W; Could be lower if you get lucky at the GPU
-Any MSI/ Asus TUF or ROG Motherboard is great
As for the Monitor, Don't GAF about the refresh rate. You aren't really gaming on it or working for Pixar.
2K/"QHD" IPS LCD or OLED is great! Recommend IPS LCD Because they're far cheaper and often get brighter. OLED Panels are often 300$+
Oh yeah, And dont forget to use LTS Versions of Blender.
LTS = Long Term Support
2-ish Years of continuous bug fixes
I Use 4.5.3LTS
No LTS = One big bug? Either fix it yourself by hacking into Blender or re-downlaod and reinstall another Blender version. That's mad boring and takes a lot of time.
There's a version 5 LTS*
*Post they made on LinkedIn
I know these tips are random, maybe because I learned them myself and I usually randomly learn stuff lol
