Relocating to Richardson for work, where do I choose to live?

Where should I look into for an apartment?

The things I value most are diversity and seeing people that look like me(black people), living in a safe neighborhood/community, and living around either middle class or younger ambitious people (I am 25). I don't want to live in a community of despair. I'd be ok with a commute of up to 1hr max.

For context I am coming from Long Beach CA

Thank you for the help.

Relocating & housing Apartment review

Considering to move to Cedar park or Leander, Tx. We were considering the below apartments (1\*1):

  1. The Alden at cedar park
  2. Park at crystal falls
  3. The view at cedar park

The cedar park ones are little expensive and come with a smaller sq ft. The park at crystal falls has great reviews (wondering if it’s actually true). Anyone who lives or knows about these apartments can you share your experience ? Any other apartments suggestions in these neighborhoods also appreciated.

Relocating & housing Apartment recs !!

hi! I'm a 20 y/o F who is moving to Dallas from Garland because my commute is actually from hell. I work both of my jobs around Preston center. I'm looking at areas around uptown, midtown, Preston hollow, and just around UP and HP in general.

id like to live somewhere that is pretty walkable/safe with a younger community. obviously the community isn't the most important part, but it would be appreciated.

im looking for a one bedroom that's under 1600 base rent. I'd like it to be updated! if you have any recs, please let me know!! I'm desperate lol.

Pets/Animals Dog Sitter Recommendations?

I am looking for someone to watch my dog this fall as all of my go to sitters are unavailable during my dates. She has never been boarded, has separation anxiety, needs medicine every 12 hours, and is an elderly Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Any recommendations for exceptional dog sitters? I am not interested in boarding her in a kennel as she gets very stressed when she is placed in the vet kennels during her drop off appointments.

Thank you in advance for the help!

Tourism What are some MUST SEE things?

I’ll be visiting Texas for the first time in a few months and am lost on where to start with planning! I’ll be staying around Plano and spending some time in Dallas, and am looking for suggestions you would give to any tourist! I am specifically interested in the arts, history, food, and nature. Thanks in advance!

‘Reserved for expectant mothers’ sign?

Hi, my wife and I were looking for a store that has a ‘Reserved for expectant mothers’ parking spot for a fun pregnancy announcement photo shoot. Does anyone know of a store that has one in the area? It doesn’t have to be the exact verbiage.

Bonus points if it’s closer to Garland/Richardson.

Tourism Dallas/Texas Gift

Upvotes

Hi, I am living in Dallas now and going to visit a professor who taught me during graduate studies. What Dallas/Texas gift is recommended? My budget is around $50-60, and I do not feel like buying food gift like pecans. Any recommended gifts like pen, art crafts, etc.?
