I may be moving to pg in about a year, but was hoping to get some insight as to what the job market is like for general labour type work.

My experience is : ~2 years concrete forming, over 1 year as a garbage man, and a few months water distribution experience (with the same company I did garbage for) I also have about a year of manufacturing experience.

I left concrete due to construction work drying up and I left garbage due to an opening in the same company I hope it doesn’t look like I’m uncommitted.

How competitive is it getting into a factory or a mine in pg? Or even getting a job as a CO? The schedule and physical demand doesn’t matter to me. Anything basic like the jobs I mentioned would be what I’m after, unfortunately I’m not mechanically inclined enough for a full blown trade such as diesel mechanics which I’ve seen a few postings for

I have a home sprinkler system that is controlled through wifi and the control panel. But I go to test it, there’s no water coming through the sprinklers. Any company in town that can deal with this issue.

I’m hoping to hear from people who have been through a separation or divorce because I’m really struggling severely. the grief has completely blindsided me. I feel like I’m mourning everything, and the life I’ve known for so many years. But also the terrifying uncertainty of my future going forward.

During the day, I can usually keep myself busy, but the evenings are the hardest. As soon as I’m alone with my thoughts, everything seems to hit me at once. The sadness feels overwhelming, and sometimes the depression almost feels physical and the emotions just become too much to even bear.

I’m also trying to navigate all of the practical parts of separation while holding myself together emotionally, and honestly, I don’t feel like I’m coping very well.

For those of you who have gone through this:
- What helped you get through those first few months?
- Did anything make the evenings easier?
- Did you find counselling or a support group helpful?

Hey everyone! A lot of you have been using fraserfinds.ca for checking out local garage sales, events, and businesses around town. If you want to make it even easier to access on the go, you can actually install it on your phone so it looks and acts just like a regular app.

Important Note: You will not find this in the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. It is installed directly from your phone's web browser!

Here are the quick step-by-step instructions to get it on your home screen:

🍎 For iPhone Users (You MUST use Safari)

Apple is a bit picky about this, so this will only work if you use your phone's native Safari browser (it won't work from Chrome).

1. Open the Safari app.
2. Go to fraserfinds.ca.
3. Tap the Share button at the bottom center of your screen (it looks like a square with an arrow pointing up).
4. Scroll down the menu options until you see "Add to Home Screen" and tap it.

Hi everyone,

I'm an electrician, and I'd like to use my business to help raise money for animal rescue. Over the past 15 years, I have volunteered my time with the SPCA, but with them shutting down here and my own business becoming busier, I've been looking for a more efficient way to continue helping while supporting a smaller rescue where donations can make a big impact.

I'll be donating a limited number of electrical service appointments where, instead of paying me, you'll donate the value of the work directly to Soft Paws Cat Rescue. I plan to donate approximately 2–4 appointments per month, depending on my how busy I am.

Before I launch this on Facebook, I'd like to do a small beta test with a couple of appointments through r/PrinceGeorge. This will help me fine-tune the pricing, wording, and overall process. Feedback is very welcome.

This fundraiser is being done with the permission of Soft Paws Cat Rescue. All donations go directly to Soft Paws Cat Rescue via the donation email listed on their Facebook page. I do not handle any donations myself, or supply you a link.

I am looking for input from anyone who is in or completed the dental hygiene program here at CNC. I’m currently a CDA interested in going into hygiene and would appreciate any information or advice regarding the program:)

I have a few specific questions but any input in general would be super appreciated!!

- How much in total would you estimate you paid for the entire program?
- How long did it take you to complete the prerequisites?
- How many patients did you need during 1st year and 2nd year in order to meet grad requirements?
- Overall how do you feel about the program? Any regrets from those working as hygienists?
