Would anyone be interested in some weekday ceramic painting at The Clay Cottage? I've been organizing these hangouts for a few months and It's been a fun way to meet new people and sneak in some crafting during the week.

I've been building this reference in my notes of all the places I know of that hold karaoke weekly in the Fraser Valley area. I took this on a night where search and rescue was looking for two missing hikers on Sumas mtn. It was back when there was a cougar up there.

Just a PSA that we've had a black bear (good sized one) in and around our private park and street the past couple weeks. (Approximately 500m west of Old Yale Road and Sumas Way on the north side of Old Yale). Be aware that this guy (or gal - not sure which) is prowling around. It has been seen during the day (12:30 - 1:30pm) and at night (11:00pm to midnight) a few times. If you are in the area, don't leave your pets or kids alone outside unattended, and make sure your garbage and compost bins are locked up or in your garage. He (she) has walked in front of open garage doors (with my neighbours present in their garages), so it obviously isn't afraid of humans. Take care out there with this bear!

Hey abbotsfordians. I'm not from Abbotsford but when I do visit, I notice that the layout of the city is a bit weird.

Here's what I mean:

You'll have one street which has housing, warehouses, and shops all in one.

Other cities have distinct regions of either housing, warehouse, shops, ext. But Abbotsford's is like all mixed in lol.

Is it just me that notice this? Also, some of the houses are not in a straight road, but all squiggly! Haha.

The whole city isn't like this. But again yeah I noticed parts are.

I have a 2020 Subaru Crosstrek (standard) that needs some servicing. Nothing major (to my knowledge) is wrong right now (except a drip coming from unknown origin), but long story short I lost my job last year so have fallen behind on regular servicing. I’m back to work and need to get back on my feet, of which is getting my car back in shape.

Any recommendations on mechanics in town? Specifically:

• doesn’t scam/upsell you with extras you don’t need
• is affordable but still does good work
• isn’t going to take advantage of someone who has about -10 knowledge about cars
• bonus (but not necessary): worked with Subarus before
