Did a full cleaning of my ps3 the 1 thing i didnt take a picture smh while doing was the ribbon cable . Is this cable pushed in enough? I cannot remember if that black line is supposed to be covered or what?

I haven’t done it because I got all the games I want in physical, I really don’t see any necessity to do it but maybe I’m missing something.

Bought FF13-2 and Lightning Returns since I never got to play them back in the day. Decided to buy brand new because why not. They came in sealed but the cases are different than every other PS3 game I've ever bought. I'm thinking they're resealed. Not a big deal because I do plan on opening and playing but I do hate paying for a brand new sealed copy and it having been a reseal. Thoughts? Sharing photos of a few of my other PS3 games to compare cases.

I have all those PS3 games and a PlayStation 3 Slim. The console isn’t reading any discs but other than that it’s in perfect condition. I just want to know if these would be worth selling to get my dad a better console (PS4). I just want to know if that would be better than buying a replacement disc reader. I’m really wondering.

Hey everyone, I’m looking to buy a PS3 with the Frankenstein mod.

Are there any trusted sellers you would recommend? Preferably someone selling through eBay.

I don’t have a PS3 available to be Frankenstein-modded, and I don’t have a donor console for the RSX chip either, so I’m looking for a fully completed Frankenstein-modded PS3.

I did a termal paste but my ps3 turns into a jet engine after a while. It did helped a lot bcs it lasts about 35 mins and then it screams. But only in open spaces in half life 2.

I think it’s long overdue for a new Splinter Cell series. Everyone is making remasters and remakes these days, so why not call back Sam Fisher out of retirement?!

Plus, besides the 2D recent entries, I’d really love for Ubisoft to make another 3rd person Prince of Persia game. The freedom they could have with an open world Prince of Persia would be insane! I love PoP 2008 and its open world aesthetic!

I recently bought this ps3 and it's screen keeps flickering and blacks out in btw, how do I fix this issue, I really want to play on ps3!

I also tried connecting it to my Samsung tv (it was having issue then too, It blacked out after press the ps button to let it flow audio and visuals screen)

I then attached it to my monitor and it worked out but the game screens are flickering what do i do please help

Is it normal for the syscon fan setting to allow the k01 fat model ps3 to get this hot without increasing fan speed? And is it even safe to run it like that? Im mostly concerded if its safe to run like that for when I disable syscalls to sign into psn and it sets the fans to syscon. Im aware these temps arent good and there is a big gap in the rsx and cell temps. I have taken it appart and cleaned and re pasted it twice and its the same so id guess the cell needs a delid. Im not comfortable with delidding because I know ill slip and cut into the cell and or the main board. But if it gets unusably bad ill have to try I suppose. Playing a demanding game like the last of us with the fan set to auto 74c and the default 80% fan speed cap in webman the cpu settles at around 77c with 80% fan speed so ill probably just play the later demanding stuff on my non permanent cfw compatible slim I have. Should I try and just get a permanent cfw compatible slim model (id rather not have to deal with running HEN at every boot up) or should my current k01 be ok enough?

My ps3 is cech 3003b , it has the most recent firmware update installed , all i want is to download and play some games nothing else , can somebody direct me how to mod my ps3 which tutorial to follow ?

It’s been running GTA IV for about an hour and has been nice and quiet the whole time. Would you say these are good baseline temperatures, or is there anything I should be concerned about?
