I've been very interested in selling press ons, since I'm currently unlicensed/in school.

These are press ons ive made for my friends for free. I've been thinking of charging around $40 a set if they're like this? But I'm not sure how to price a set if its less or more complicated, as in do I have a price tier system or should I just play every set by ear?

My fiance suggested starting with a promo : summer themed sets for $20 each. Thoughts?

Asked for the second set. Same length etc. colour was my own fault but the length and flowers look so bad :(

Hi guys! I tried no UV dip powder on my natural nails for the first time. They almost look decent from a distance but obviously are not great. Any tips? Aside from a shaky application on the edges, what did I do wrong?

I have quit biting my nails about a week ago. Hopefully I actually stop this time. Here's my progress so far. I have bitten for a decade, if not longer. I tried quitting before and failed. It has been a deeply ingrained habit.

This is my first ever manicure in my life as a woman in my 30s. I don’t like acrylic nails and my pinky and ringer finger nails grow upwards (ski slope?) so the tech recommended builder gel. I asked for tips to make them longer but she said that since my goal is to grow them out, then I shouldn’t do tips because she’ll have to cut my nails short. This is the end result. What I’m unhappy with is my right middle finger builder gel isn’t sitting close to the nail bed, the flower shape is meh compared to left middle finger, my both index finger shapes are so nice, but my ring and pinky fingernail shape make my hand look so fat. Are cuticles done okay? Since I have NO experience in this department I would like honest feedback. It cost $70 without tip. Is that reasonable for builder gel and polish and one flower/design?

I went to this nail salon that i’ve had a bad experience with in the past but just blamed it on an off day but omg im actually so pissed doesn’t this look so thick or am i crazy??

It was the only place open so i went because i needed my nails done and my flight for my vacation is tmrw and now i just feel botched 😭💔 I filed them down because im so serious when i say they were crazy long before and they still are!! Is there any way to fix this without a drill? i dont do nails myself but after this im going to look into it 🫩

About 2 weeks ago, I got this cat eye gel manicure done at my local nail salon that I’ve been going to for years. After selecting the color I wanted, my manicurist told me that the cat eye colors would cost $70. I was going to pick a different color, but my mom said to just get it, because she took me to get my nails done as an early birthday treat (bless her heart).
Within 1 day of getting my nails done they already begun chipping, I haven’t even had this set for 2 full weeks yet and it’s already peeling away.
$70 for a full set of acrylics would make sense, but for the price paid for a gel set and then having it chip so fast was disappointing :,( it got me realizing that every time I’ve gone to the nail salon recently, I feel as though I’m paying an arm and a leg and my nails never really last anymore. I got a gel pedicure as well and I tipped both the manicurist and pedicurist well in cash.
I got a cat eye set done 2 years ago at a different salon, before the cat eye design became a trend, and it did not cost this much so I really feel like nail salons are inflating their service prices, then expecting a solid cash tip afterwards too

I tend to go for pastel colours, polka dots or holiday themed art (eg reindeer for Christmas). I’ve attached some of my recent sets! I have biab and short ish nails.

The reason I like this more than other nail glues is because this is a twist cap and it’s not the brush. I don’t like the brush it just feels like it doesn’t work. I like the glue that you dab drops on. The other nail glue caps I use (mekk) don’t twist though and if you’re just supposed to pull, I can never get a grip to pull it off, I basically have to bend it back and forth but sometimes it’ll break off the entire white top from the bottle. Also, for some reason, when applying the mekk glue, the glue clogs the tip and I have to keep cutting it with scissors but the kiss never has build up that blocks it.

Very very new at using press ons (this is my second set ever after the first popped off after three days) and I’m hoping to get them looking a little less “fake” if I can.

I’m using the kiss brush on nail glue, but it feels like even if I do a thin layer it comes out through the sides.

I’d also love any tips to make the area where the press on is closest to the cuticle (not sure what this is called, sorry!) look a little better and less like a harsh plastic line.

They are magnetic so you can take them off to wash your hands

I got a poly gel manicure with extensions yesterday. It’s the first time I’ve gotten my nails done as an adult, so I have nothing to compare it to, but they look off to me. I know I have short nail beds and you can only do so much with that but… idk. Am I being picky? It was like $80 after tip, and the salon has 5 star reviews across the board so I’m a little upset my nails don’t look like the rest of the pictures from the reviews.

If they are bad, can you tell me what is wrong about them so I can articulate to the salon why I want to get them redone? I’m really nervous about going back
