Advice Question Any advice for getting hrt as quick as possible?
I'm 16 right now and want to avoid long wait lists that I hear other trans people talk about.

I was married for 22 years before my egg cracked and I am still married to the same woman.
I have a masculine wedding ban that no longer stays on my finger due to weight loss. Even if I could resize it, which isn’t easy due to its style, I wouldn’t want to wear it on my finger. I currently wear it on a chain on my neck.
I’m planning on getting a more feminine ring with some kind of stone when finances allow, but I was wondering what other folks in my position have done.

I don’t know what to think here I’m so lost in the sauce. But I think I might be trans, MtF. I’m not sure. So there’s a lot of back story here so buckle up. As far back as I can remember I’ve always fantasized about being a girl. I would ruminate for hours and come up with whole ass lives for myself as a girl. In my 20’s I wore make up and dressed very feminine while I was involved in the rave scene. Made so many bad choices but that’s another subreddit altogether. Then out of nowhere I up and join the Marines. Fucking crazy right? I survived two combat tours and became the most macho dude ever; power lifted, got into all the fights, drank so recklessly my liver joined AA without me, etc. However when I went home on leave I’d have crazy manic episodes because I’m also bipolar. I’d act very soft and feminine when with certain guys. When I got out of the military I lost a ton of weight and started dressing feminine again and wearing make up and going out and making bad choices. Some of choices lasted a long time so we’ll skip those. After my last bad choice I met my ex wife. Sure she’s my ex wife but by no means a bad choice. We have kiddo together and he’s the most amazing thing in my life. But I’m not here to talk about my kiddo. Anyway moving on. Lately old feelings have started popping up like that I hate my body. I can change several things about it sure such as my weight and what’s happening with my hair. But I realized the other day that I really hate my genitals. And what’s crazy is I remember telling my ex wife one time how much of a pain in the ass having a penis is. Went on about for a few minutes. The truth be told is I’m so lost and confused about this whole thing right now because for the first time in ever I get to be me. Without restrictions. I don’t know who that is. I have an idea of what I’d like to be, but that’s different than who. But I know I’ve been ordering women’s clothing. Cute lil off the shoulder pieces. I like how I look and how it makes me feel. So my question is, I guess, what’s next? Do I talk to my therapist? Find a new therapist? Keep the old therapist and find a therapist who specializes in whatever this is? I’ve gone down so many rabbit holes and I’m pretty sure they aren’t even the right ones. Someone please talk to me.

To begin, I am a 15 year old transgender girl. Because of this, I’ve become like an anomaly of sorts to the guys at my school. To them, I’m not a girl nor a guy. It seems like I’m simply a body to them.
I don’t wear super revealing clothes at school. Almost every day I wear a pair of high waisted jeans and a shirt tied around my waist so I don’t look like a rectangle. Even though my clothes aren’t that risqué, guys treat me like I’m some kind of like toy to call names or attempt to use. I’ve heard guys talk about my body while behind me in the hallways, yelling stuff about my butt when I stand up to ask to go to the restroom, and because I have to use the male restroom I’ve literally had guys try to get me to get in the stalls with them. I’m so sick of being seen as this whore by guys, something to use and not take seriously (mind you Im a virgin). I’m only a freshman transitioning into a sophomore in high school and yet I have more stories of me being over sexualized than I have fingers and toes. Not only am I treated as a sexual anomaly, I’m treated as a social anomaly, especially when I need to use the restroom. I’ve been recorded, screamed at, and called to the principals office for using the male restroom even though Florida law requires me to do so.
What’s even worse is that I’m Catholic (please don’t try to discuss theology with me about transgenderism, I don’t really want to hear it). I want to be seen as the sweet Catholic girl who prays the rosary at lunch, but I’m not. I literally can’t display myself in any manner but a transgender f-word toy because people see me in only that way.
I didn’t really expect to be posting this, but a recent event literally made me sob my eyes out and I wanted to get my story out there. My friend was at a yesterday and there was this guy there. Everyone was talking and eventually I was brought up. He called me the “prettiest t-slur around” and that he would “crack me if given the chance.” My stomach was in a knot when she told me about that. I literally had nothing to do with this hangout and my name was still brought up and perverted. I just wanna be seen as a normal girl.

Heyy everyone,
I have a really big decision to make rn and I don't know what to do anymore. My transition has failed, I know I haven't been that long on E just 3 months, but still there is no way this will work for me. I look like a man, I am a man, and nothing will change that unfortunately.
So I have to choice to continue going and knowing I will always be hated for how I look or to just live with the dysphoria and be a christian man (I know some will hate me for my beliefs idc). And while I of course don't want to be a man, but the reality is for me at least hrt won't change that, and I guess I already accepted it and have to just move on. It's just a hard decision to make because living as a man sounds so horrible and I don't want that. So rn I can either give up and hope my body will mostly go back to normal or continue and hope that for whatever reason it works out.
I really just don't know what to do anymore and I'm tired of it.
Sorry for my little vent and post

1,5 years HRT, family has rather small boobs so I figured Id never get past AA cups. I switched the gel I use about a month ago and now theyre finally growing. I lost like 7 kg in the past months, im underweight now, so im surprised my body is doing this. (Which is motivating me to fix my eating problems)
When I asked my boyfriend and took off my shirt, he was in awe: "oh damn yea theyre really growing"
I was about to give up but now im so happy and im sure theyll help me pass once I get to a certain point. And even if they dont fill out my frame, im still happy about the progress and the pain is so worth it.
I was at 83 cm underbust, 87 bust 5 months ago. Now im 79 87.

I know that you're not supposed to ask medical advice here and that is not what this post is supposed to be, I am just curious if anyone here who had preexisting stretch marks or like got them easily had any trouble on hrt because I have not got on them yet or talked much with my doctor but I get a lot of stretch marks and always have, my legs are nearly covered on every side and sometimes I get them in places that just don't logically make sense (on belly while maintaining a very stable weight for a long period of time)
I am just scared because I resent the ones I have already and I am very much afraid of gaining new ones, I don't super understand how hrt fully works and I intend to talk a LOT with my doctor about it (or doctors if/when I get a referral)
Like would starting at a like completely miniscule amount and very very slowly moving up help like at least mitigate the development of stretch marks or do I just at some point have to accept that if I want hrt it's going to be a blessing and a curse

I’m 5’10”, 200 lbs and have a very broad/“athletic” build. Meaning broad shoulders and narrow hips.
Am I cooked if I start HRT? I’m fine with looking like a masc feminine person. But I’m just afraid I won’t get curvy or voluptuous yk?
Idk I think I’m just overthinking

Okay, so I’ve noticed something pretty specific about my dysphoria in styling. When I’m wearing a cap (shaggy hair, lesbian vibes) I look so good in makeup and my dysphoria kind of melts. I think it has something to do with hiding my forehead, but my hair already does that pretty well anyway. When I take the cap off, I just feel more exposed and like I come off as more “dude”, which is strange given that caps are most often masculine styling choices.
Anyone similar? What do?

You know this hurts so much… having to hide all of this… torn between wanting be a beautiful woman (cared for, provided for, allowed for exist in my own fucking skin, wear whatever the fuck I want)… struggling with what my parents want me to be (mechanic and have a wife)… struggling with what society wants me to be (a dirty car mechanic), what religion wants me to be (get married, kids, family), what my friends now see me as… What I wanted to be (extremely disciplined and great physique, succesfull), I think a few things happened to me that made me want become a transwoman. I absolutely despise the role ive been given, I see my dad and I will never be as hard working as him, ever. I think i may be lazy but I hate hard work, sometimes I hate physical hard labor. I hate the role of having to provide, to care for someone. I hate having to appear macho with family. I’ll never have that great physique, never be as hard working as my father, I got rejected twice so I’ll never be someone loves in the provider role cause I can’t provide shit. It makes me feel like crying. This is why being a trans woman feels so appealing to me, this is why i cross dress. Along with some extreme gender envy. This is my why. And Im absolutely terrified that my parents discover that bag and they WILL kick me out of the house. I’ll be shunned by everyone, my own family won’t speak to me. This is why I wish i could go away for a year to live my life as a full time woman. A new opportunity, a new opportunity to re invent myself, to be me, to live my life fully. No more doubt. Is this valid or am I just a lazy person?

Hello,
what was your most underated/surpising purchase/appointemnt that helped you through your transition?
Im not talking abour DIY HRT or Laser Hair Removal, im talking about very niche things that most people dont have on their radar
For me it is using AI to deal with my depression and general information about transitioning until I got the first appointments with my therapist
Imm sooooo excited for the responses!!

When I was 16, I posted to this subreddit. I was an egg, and I wanted to know why I wanted to be a woman who was attractive to men. It's literally what got me questioning my gender to begin with. I realized I wanted to be effeminate, and then I realized I wanted to be a woman.
6 years later, I've grown up a fair amount, and I've largely accepted the fact that I'm trans. But this feeling hasn't gone away. This feeling like I'm just trying to steal womanhood because I'm misogynistic, that I'm reinforcing the traditional cis-heterosexual script, that I'm not real because my dysphoria is sexual and I wasn't effeminate in childhood.
Obviously, you can't fix my mind from the other side of the screen. But seeing as I can't really go to therapy as it stands, does anyone else have experiences with dealing with this? How'd you do it?

I just turned 18 and I’m trying to decide between going through official channels or doing DIY for HRT.
My main fear is that as transphobia and conservatism rise, I won’t want an official medical record of my trans-ness on file somewhere down the line to harm me somehow. But I also appreciate how the record helps for insurance coverage and medical safety. I am grateful to live in a safely blue state for reference.
How founded is this fear, and what would you actually do in my position?
Thanks so much (:

How long did you take to start seeing changes on estrogen?
I was on pills then switched to injections and I’m so scared to even grab the needle cant stop thinking I’m doing it wrong but I really want to see changes.. I was previously on pills but they needed a blocker and saw it easier to inject.. but after my second week I feel like I did a mistake or under dosing due to removing bubbles. So please share tips or suggestions for easier ways.

Effort is lame, I’m meant to be reading while snug as a bug in a rug, not fighting the government. I demand a fully illustrated full color step by step hardcover guide on everything, all materials included. I can’t be expected to think and make decisions in this economy; a penny for my thoughts is not nearly enough. If one of you could be so kind as to beam the girl directly into my cranium I’ll give you the penny.

TLDR; my dilemma is, im not on hrt nor have i had SRS, and the LAST thing i wanna do is be ignorant to cis women because i love all women. so genuinely asking would it be okay for me to use the girls🚽, or should i just go in the boys 🚽?
background info:
so, i’m starting high school soon and i was wondering if it would be ethically wrong for me to use the girls bathroom? i’m planning to socially transitiong when i start hs bc im going to a hs where almost no one knows me, and if you click on my profile you can see that i am very feminine-presenting & 99% of the time in public i get gendered as a girl and majority of my middle school teachers gendered me as a girl. majority of middle school i never used the restroom in school, but the few times i got in trouble for going into the boys restroom because the teacher viewed me as a girl, and another time some boys walked in the restroom and just looked at me very oddly & were very confused.

I am post op (6 years) and for first 5 years I was blissfully happy and felt ME. Sex was not really a priority for me other than a few hook ups here and there. A year ago a guy really broke my heart by rejecting me for being post op (his pref was pre op) - my adhd head turned in on me and for the last year I have felt disconnected from my vagina. Hyper focused on sex and full of doubt over the sensitivity and missing things about pre op sex and missing my penis. I also was super rubbish about taking hormones after the op so not sure if my lack of sensitivity is due to that. All in all my peace and love for my post op body has been traumatised and I have been left depressed and craving pre op life.

Hey all,
I recently acquired a supply of needles (18g drawing, 25g injecting) and 3ml syringes for my injections rather than mooching off of my provider, and things have mostly been going well except for one significant hitch.
Every time I inject, every part of the injections goes great except for one (well two, but one is just annoying and not a real problem, every 2 or 3 injections will randomly hurt, presumably bc of improper technique but I think I'm getting better at it)
Drawing the solution, swapping needles, and piercing the skin all go perfectly. However, when it's time for my thumb to push the plunger down and actually inject the solution into me, the plunger BARELY moves, even in comparison to the small amount of movement necessary to get .3ml of solution in. I have to press down really hard, then wait, then press down hard again to gradually get the valerate into my body, hoping that works.
This has happened every single time in the 3 or so times I've used the new needles and syringes and I'm not sure what the deal is. It's the same gauges I was using before, so the only change is the 3ml syringes, but this feels more like the syringe doesn't even work. It's not that it's broken though, because every single one of the new syringes has behaved this way. I know that larger syringes require more force to inject, but this is way more than that, it's absolutely ridiculous.
Obviously, I'm not a fan of equipment being nonfunctional when I have a literal needle in my body, so any advice is MORE than welcome. Am I missing something? Have I been scammed? I'm not really sure what's going on.

So I'm 34. Realized and came to terms with everything at 12. Let's skip the whole "my life has sucked since then" sob story. I've had present masc AF as a survival mechanism. You know how it goes.
A little over a month ago, I started. Not on HRT yet, but making preparations. Huge dietary changes, cutting out beer, doing MTF-focused workouts every day, actively keeping my body shaved smooth and painting my nails black, etc. I've also been practicing pagan magic to calm myself and learn to love myself, invoking Freyja as a mentor to help guide me through my transformation.
I'm currently on a waiting list for a consultation to get on HRT. It could take a few months. And since I recently picked up a new job, it's going to be a while until I get health insurance.
I came out to a close friend of mine last week; the first time in 22 years I've ever spoken up about it. She has been incredibly supportive, as she has also gone through it. The next night, when we saw each other in person, she greeted me with two simple words: "Hey, sis."
I melted. It was the first time I ever felt seen. And then I felt like a literal god for that evening.
But here's the issues I'm running into: I live in a rural, conservative area, and I have a wife who I've built a life and home with over the past four years. Now, she's cool with the community. We regularly attend Pride events and openly support trans rights. She'seven more open with it than I am, for obvious reasons. We have several trans friends. There are even a handful of pride flags around our home that *she* placed as decor. BUT I feel like me coming out to her is going to be a major bombshell. And it will also test the theory that "everyone is an ally until it's happening under their own roof." So I'm scared shitless, and worried that it could destroy both of our lives.
So I have a handful of questions for everyone willing or able to answer:
Should I continue just leaving breadcrumbs until she eventually initiates the conversation? I mean, she *has* to be noticing some of the signs, right? Between all of the things I've listed above, the fact that I've always dressed *kinda* fem to begin with (my entire wardrobe is black skinny jeans, metal band shirts, and excessive jewelry) and I'm sure she's seen I've stopped buying "masculine" self-care products and haven'tbeen as "rugged" as usual, she can't be completely oblivious, right? Is it possible that she's known this whole time, and is just waiting for me to speak up? Or do you think she just assumes "thats how all Power Metal fans are?"
The hair. That's the big one. Typical thinning in the front. And my hair is very light blonde, so it shows. I've been trying to grow it back after shaving it all off during the pandemic, but I feel it definitely throws a wrench into things. Are there any routines or styles you could recommend? Right now it's kinda long, right above my shoulders. I haven't had a proper haircut since I was about 18, so I don't even know where to begin. But the thinning is the biggest problem right now.
The HRT process. I'm going with either the patch or the pill when that time comes, because I'm deathly afraid of needles. What did your progress look like? Did you start presenting before HRT, or did you give it time to kick in first? What did your timeline look like?
I still have so many questions, but this post is getting long now. The reality is that while I'm absolutely terrified of transitioning this late in life after I've already established myself as a public figure with a family life, I feel like continuing to wait is eventually going to cause even more regret. All of that being said, *any* input or positive reinforcement would be helpful and appreciated 🖤

I went to Torrid and got measured! It went really smoothly, I am honestly surprised at how easy it was for me to easy, I am getting more confident for sure. I bought some nice stuff :D. Bras will take some getting used to, but it's time to switch over, I am a 40 D, my bralettes are getting tight.
