Had a bolt fall out of my fairing so I ordered a replacement. Nobody told me I had to be a qualified Triumph Mechanic to fit it myself though.

I'm debating on what i should get.

I'm leaning towards the Ninja 300 in all white.

But, after spending 2 days on this Harely 350, it was fucking amazing.

But maybe the riding part was amazing not the bike.....

A strong other contender i liked was the honda cbrr500 in red, or the yamaha r3 in all black.

This morning I took what is probably gonna be my last ride with an old friend. Being well into his 80s he's decided to hang it up and move north to spend his last bit of time with his grandchildren. I'm gonna miss him.

I just wanted to share this moment! I took the MSF basic rider course a couple weekends ago, immediately got my license endorsement and I'm HOOKED. I just picked up this beautiful bike. She's a 2017 Versys X 300. I already had a kid wave at me in traffic and my heart melted.

My dad has ridden almost my whole life and I used to go with him as a kid, and my goal recently has been to be able to ride motorcycles with him. I'm one step closer!

I do also already own an old TW200, and have ridden on mini bikes when I was younger but this is the first proper bike I've owned! I'm unbelievably excited!

Please share your words of wisdom for a new rider, I'm trying to prioritize my safety lol

When the Beartooth Highway is 60 miles away, it’s a pretty handy day ride.

I just bought an electric bike 50cc equivalent but it looks a little like a naked bike, i get the headnod or wave from other riders so i nod back but it feels like im betraying them😂
(Topspeed is 55kmh/35mph ish) its basically a moped

My friend is saying I should take off the tank and all this extra stuff im just trying to get it started to sell it. Its a few thousand miles everything was working great its just been a couple years since it got started. Can i just change oil and gas and jump start it?

New rider here. Got caught in a surprise storm yesterday. Giggled like a school girl on the way home and got covered in mud. Planning to stop by the self serve car wash after work, and soap it down and spray it off. Half the people here say my bike will explode and completely rust out if I take it to the car wash, everyone else says it’s fine. What’s your take? Will this be the worst decision of my riding career?

I love the retro look but I’m not sure with 3 cylinders, I wanted to know is it worth the money compared to cb650r I’m eyeing?

Crash posts appear way too often here. So, here is my post where I rode and did not crash. I did not have any close calls. Just a nice ride.

I have not had a crash in the past 30 years. Well, there was that one time a monster pickup drove over my parked bike. I was in my office and never saw him back up over the bike, so maybe it was my fault for not paying attention.

I commute on my bike, a 2002 Harley Wide Glide. I rode 30 miles to work in the sun this afternoon. At 89F I was comfortable on the country roads and highway, but it was hot riding the last few miles to work. The forecast has changed, so I may get wet on the way home. At least it will be cooler.

UPDATE: Woohoo!!! I rode home from work without crashing.

Got a voge dsx 625, it's been a hell of a day, passed my test this morning, got a text from the dealer saying my bike was ready (yeah, I risked putting down a deposit early) while I did my test, 3 and a half hour train ride to Macclesfield and a 2 hour and 15 minutes ride back with a big smile on my face!

So, my brother always showed interest in motorcycles, even when we were kids, he played a lot of games involving bikes.
Me, on the contrary, never showed interest in motorcycles, and was even messing with him. I was like, "Nah, bikes are lame", "Cars are better", etc

Now he's 20, he just got his license, and his first bike (CB500 Hornet). Of course, I went on a ride with him. OMFG, THIS IS AWESOME.
Just ONE ride completely changed my mind ! I now look at all motorcycles I see, want to go on a ride everyday and he even started to teach me how to drive his bike. This evening, I'm gonna sign up for driving lessons.
I can't wait to get my license lol

Basically what the title says. My step father is about one slip and fall away from being completely cenile. His house is an absolute shithole with little to zero hope in finding the keys/title. I know these things are some decent bikes. Is there anyway to go around this? We really wanna have some funds to pay for his hospital expenses

TL;DR: I need to sell my practically brand-new 125cc commuter because I'm moving closer to work, but I'm struggling with a mental block about trading it for an older, higher-cc used bike on a tight budget.

In 2025, needing a reliable ride, I bought a 2024 Honda CB125F for $2,000 with only 900 km on the clock. It has been my ultimate everyday, all-weather workhorse, doing a minimum 70 km commute daily through rain or shine. I've since added another 12,000 km to it.

Now, I'm moving back to the city. Instead of a 35 km commute, I'll be living just 350 meters from work, meaning my poor bike will mostly sit in the garage.

I don't want to stop riding, but I want to step up in displacement so I can start doing weekend trips. The catch? I'm terrified of buying a bike that's older than my current one. I can't afford a brand-new bike right now because of a mortgage. In my country, there are plenty of used bikes in the $3,000–$4,000 range, but some of them are 20 years old.

I can handle basic maintenance on my Honda, but I'm no mechanic (especially when it comes to things like carburetors). I'm willing to sell my current bike and add a little extra cash to get something bigger, but I have this psychological barrier holding me back.

Have any of you made a similar jump? How do you get over the fear of buying an older, higher-cc used bike coming from something practically brand new?

I’m working on getting my stuff in order so that I can get my first motorcycle. I’m 24, so I’ve been driving cars for 8 years now and know the part about actual driving. I’m studying the motorcycle manual for NY to get my permit. I was thinking after I get the permit that I purchase a used Ninja 500 or CB500F. I was thinking after getting the motorcycle that I would ride around my street practicing and doing drills like figure 8s, circles, and acceleration, stopping, shifting, etc…. I live on a calm street that basically looks like a very big figure 8. I would do this for a couple of weeks. Then I would do on to the more advanced MSF course and get the Waiver for the road test. Or I would get the permit, do the Basic MSF course, and skip the road test that way, get the license, and then get the bike. What do you guys recommend? I’ve had either recommended to me.

Also looking for recommendations for starter bikes. Btw never driven a manual car before.

I’ve no clue what happened. It wouldn’t start last week, came in today, moved it from center stand to kickstand and it decided to empty its entire oil reserve into the floor. Oil also leaking from port near the airbox. I’m so confused.

I started college this week. For about a week or so, I have to ride to college which is 36 km away before I move into an apartment nearby. Today was my first day and it's the first time I'd taken my bike on a long ride. I had to ride the highway at 80 kmph for 30 mins straight and my ass started hurting halfway through. I toughed it out until I reached. But the ride back after the tiring day was straight up painful. I kept readjusting my bum while riding (which didn't help 🥀) and I don't think that's safe. How tf do I make my arse hurt less. Is there a specific posture to ride in? Should I add more cushioning or sumn. Pls help.

Im stuck deciding between these 2 jackets.

I live in southern US

Mostly highway riding to and from work and school

Need a all year jacket or at least be able to throw a hoodie over or under it

I just recently got the Alpinestars jacket in the mail and honestly idk how I feel about it. It has plenty airflow but it doesn’t feel all too protective. I do plan on putting level 2 armor in whichever one I keep but, I’m wondering if the RST jacket would be a better suit for me.
