2015 V7 special with 10,500 miles, 3rd owner selling it. Listed at $4,500. Seeing $3,455 on KBB. For reference I am in NYC and would commute about an hour and a half into New Jersey to see this bike.

In addition to the gunfighter seat he’s also added CRG mirrors, Ikon rear shocks and the rear rack. In some question asking he mentioned one of the knocks of this years model is the fuel filter which he said could be replaced with a metal one, which he has and would include in the purchase.

This would be my third Guzzi in as many years. First one I had (2010 v7 cafe) I loved dearly but was hit and totaled while street parked. The second one (1984 SP) was a constant headache and has scared me away from vintage bikes until I have more space and a garage.

Desperately wanna get back on the horse but want to feel great about the next purchase. Would love any feedback on this bike as far as you can see as well as any good questions to take to the seller during my test ride.

I have a MY22 MG V7 850. In the last month or so, I have observed oil sweat from the bottom of the engine on the left side that leans towards the ground when parked. I have read online that it is quite common on air cooled engines and as long as it doesn't drip it is only cosmetic. However I would like to know if there is anything I can do to stop it. New seals? Change of oil? Does the oil get thinner over time? Do people who ride their V7 as a daily commuter feel it is sufficient to only change oil at the regular intervals? Should I change it more often?

I ride 80km per day in a combination of highway, country roads and congested city traffic. The last couple of months have been quite warm, so I imagine the engine has been pushed to the limit in terms of heat.

Just got my motorcycle license after taking the MSF course, lady weekend and I'm looking at buying my first bike. I've never ridden outside the course, so I'm trying to make a smart decision.

I'm looking at a 2020 Moto Guzzi V7 III Special with 1,320 miles for $2,400. According to the seller, it's been garage kept its whole life, had the break-in service done, has a clean title, and doesn't need anything. The catch is it's a few hours away, so I probably won't be able to see it in person before committing.

A few questions for those who have owned or ridden one:

Is a V7 III a good first bike, or is there something I'm overlooking?

I'm 5'6"... Anyone around my height ride one? How manageable is it at stops?

Are there good engine guards/crash bars available? Since I'm brand new, I'm realistic that I might drop it at low speed.

Assuming everything checks out, does $2,400 seem like a deal that's too good to pass up, or does it make you suspicious?

Anything specific I should ask the seller for or look out for before making the trip?

I own a classic motorcycle workshop and had a yearning to get back on. Moto Guzzi after selling my Mk5 Le Mans 22 years ago. At 64 I'm ready to cruise and this tidy 2 owner Cali came up. Can't wait to do some serious miles on the old girl.

My 1100 has had this strange issue with the revs taking a long time to return to idle, I've not taken anything apart to investigate yet but was wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue.

I took her for a good hard run to see if it was maybe just some gunk in the carbs but the issue persists.

Starting is fine and there's no obvious lack of power or uneven running.

Is it just carb rebuild time?

Hey peeps, I recently bought a brand new 2025 V85TT. Test drove it, compared to a few others and I realized that was the bike for me. It fit me well being 6'2 and met my expectation of reasonable power and looks. Love it !!

I have had a couple of concerns with it. Based in BC, Canada, I received the bike from the dealer and had to ride it about 150KM back home. So I didn't get to inspect it a 100%. Its only later in the next few days, I noted that the indicator lights were popped out of the socket (they are designed to and prevent breaking). The sleeve protecting the wiring going into the electronics control on the left handlebar was not adequate. I could see the blue and red wires. The head light was way out of spec and pointing well above the road on low and the high beams were up in the tree line. And then the wobble or vibration at about 50-70km/hr. I have had tire balancing issues on my car, so I know what that feels like. I am almost confident that this is the front wheel. Looking at the wheel, there are no weights on it to correct any sort of imbalance. The rear does have something.

I took it in for the first service at ~1,500km and point out the balancing issue. I was a little annoyed with the other imperfections, but those were ones I just tidied up myself. After all the bike needs to be maintained by me in the future. Even though this was a scheduled call and I had pointed out this issue prior, the service guy said they couldn't get to it in the two hours. He also confirmed that the mechanic noted the vibration and he thinks this is normal Moto Guzzi.

I was shocked. This is the dealer who sells Moto Guzzi and their service center says that this is normal?? Am I crazy? To be honest the vibration is not unbearable, but it is quite noticeable. These are spoked wheels too, so I'd think this kind of stuff would be fixable. I also feel like this is a warranty covered issue. Am I expecting too much?

This is my first new bike and I have had old used bikes previously. I wanted a new bike feel where everything was functioning. 😢

PS: I still love the bike lol.

I removed my rear caliper and removed the brake line bracket to be able to lift the caliper up to help with bleeding. During the process I found a small aluminum spacer and I have a hunch that it came from the brake line bracket but I'd like some confirmation. The part isn't in the parts diagram but may have been an on the fly revision.

If not there I'm unsure where it came from.

Hi other question, could be the problem that the injectors have low pressure? There are injecting (the sparks are wet) but not enough? Help cleaning or only to change them? Bomb gas is changed and all works (diagnostic did not show any electricity problem), enclosing video. Thanks

I'm becoming more Guzzi curious with age, and it's a matter of time before I bring one home. Just curiously which model is considered to be the best sounding!

I bought my 2022 Guzzi V7 850 2'000 miles ago - and I love it more than I ever thought possible. Yet, when I bought it, I earmarked some of my budget to buy a little fun-bike (RS457) soon after to compliment the Guzzi, which I thought would be a little dull to have fun on. I was wrong. This bike can be quite sporty! ...Until you have to brake...

So for now I am not tempted to buy a fun-bike, but I do want some upgrades. Namely better brakes, more compliant suspension, cruise control.
Incidentally, the V7 Sport has all of that, afaik. The only thing I don't like about it is the color... (maybe I can find a friendly dealer who takes my black V7 as trade in and swaps out the tank and plastics - hoping they are interchangeable).

Will the V7 Sport give me what I am after? Or would I be better off spending the money on upgrading my V7 ?

I managed to fish the broken part out of the keyhole with some sort of thick paperclip I found, and I just had to wait for my gf to come with the spare key I luckily had.

Hey, thinking hard about a V85 TT.. ive had two Hondas and now a Suzuki vstrom650. I do cross country touring, 6000+ miles in a trip, to remote areas, about 20k mi/yr. Need something reliable. Going to test ride one at the dealer next week and discuss a trade in.

I found the moto guzzi v85 TT, maybe travel trim. I love the look, I love the vtwin, the simplicity of the aircooled pushrod engine, the SHAFT DRIVE... and the mid weight displacement is just right,

My next bike is one I hope to keep for 100k, 200k, 500k miles, I don't like switching them out too often like I have been while searching for "the one". I was drawn to the vstrom because there are examples at 300k miles on the original engine. It's a great bike, but it just doesn't have the soul I'm after. And I really loathe chain maintenance particular when on a trip.

Are there any high mileage examples you can share? Do these engines go the distance? Any problems that start cropping up? Thanks

I'm done to the last 2 bike choices that will be my next purchase and they are pretty much on opposite spectrum of each other aside from having the same price point.

It's either a V100 Mandello (possibly S or Wind Tunnel) or a Ducati Desert X.

Yep, one's more off road and ones more on road oriented, I know. I like them both. I will say the Mandello is sort of pulling ahead mostly because I will be spending most of my time on road. However, I like the Desert X because I've only ever had street bikes and it represents something new I haven't tried before. It's also pretty good on road manners, and has about the same power as the Mandello. It's also the reason why I'm considering it over the V85, which I find just a bit underpowered for my enjoyment.

How do you guys like the Mandello? I know it's a new model and as such probably has some bugs and gimmicks you have to go through. How reliable is it though? Can I confidentially tour the country on it? That is something I want my next bike to be able to do.

I like that it has an drive shaft, never owned a bike with one before and I like the thought of not having to clean a chain every 500 miles.

I do notice that it has A LOT of electronics on it like an active aero wing thing that pops out and a radar (biggest thing turning me off to the S, I just don't want or need annoying collision detection and it's just another extra thing that can break or fail). How reliable are all those electronics? How prone are they to failing or breaking?

I have a V100 Mandello and the heated grips leave alot to be desired. I would like to add some simple black plastic handguards from the Stelvio parts bin. I am holding out hope they would be a simple plug in as the two handlebars and control layout appear to be the same.

Could someone out there save me an hour long trip to the dealership to review a Stelvio in person and take some high res photos of the handguards, the attachment points etc etc?

I certainly would appreciate it.

My father passed away recently and he had (unbeknownst to my mom) put money down on a 1984 v65 SP. he had mentioned it to me in passing, but I had completely forgotten about it.

As I was helping mom organize and get rid of some of his belongings she mentioned that his friend, who is a collector and restorer of vintage bikes, had let her know about the mystery Guzzi and she wondered if I would want to take it on.

I have ridden since childhood, but have not been for several years and a motorcycle was not really on my radar at the time, unless… it happened to be a Guzzi and this Guzzi in particular. It is such a raw, visceral and beautiful bike. There were some tears on my first ride thinking about Dad and how much he would have loved it.

Looking for some insight into this bike. I'm an executor for my buddy's estate and he has this bike. It's a 2017 with only 13,000 kms on it. It wasn't used a lot and I'm trying to get a better perspective on it's value. Google tells me the value is between $10 - $15K USD. What I fail to understand is why are they about half the value of what they sold for new, if from what I've read only 400 were made making them pretty rare no? I'm not sure how many were actually imported to Canada, but is this price tag realistic?
