NSFW I just watch my 9.3” crooked river get snagged and I’m bummed.
I worked 16.5 hrs, commuted 1 1/2 hrs home. Showered did laundry and jetted out the door to catch my flight with the wife for a vacation. I brought my work back pack and thought I took everything out. Didn’t check a zipper compartment and forgot my crooked river was in there TSA just scored. It hurts, guys.
Also, we shuttled in and no checked bags.

Question What to do with knives I don’t carry?
I’ve been collecting for a couple of years. I eventually climbed the ladder up to Koenig, Skiff, Grimsmo, Rob Johnson’s, Hog House, Herman, Holt, and similar. While I’ve carried them all to various degrees I never found myself that comfortable using them. They pretty much just sat and got admired and fidgeted with.
Now, I usually carry one of these 2 Sebenza’s, which both have a DOB matching my sons. The small will eventually become his and I’ll hang onto the large. I want these knives to collect memories and stories to become even more meaningful heirlooms.
So the other knives basically have no chance of carry and I don’t find myself enjoying them as much. But the idea of parting with them also isn’t that appealing either. I have a DLC Dragon Rask, a stonewashed Skiff Fugitive, Holt Specter gen 4, and a Herman Sting. Anyone else find themselves falling both in and out of love with their collection at times and feel a bit stuck? Maybe it’s time to move on to another hobby and let someone else enjoy these.

NKD! Benchmade Osborne
The Benchmade 940-2 is not really new but I love the blade shape. Getting another Benchmade wasn’t an easy choice but I’m definitely not disappointed. This knife is tough, sharp and comfortable right out of the box. If anything I like the handle more than the blade and I truly love the blade

Discussion Bestech Kriya hanging with the big dogs
Kriya is packed with features. Front flipper, captive pivot, internal stop pin, internal lock bar relief, hidden lanyard slot in backspacer, very thin hollow grind. It's so darn slicey. Cut test coming soon on IG @weisslikesknives

Modding Shadacious Mod
Shadacious mods: just completed the “backspacer eliminator” operation with standoffs from RGT. Eliminates a bit of weight and makes it easier to clean. I prefer the open back look. This Shadacious was my test bed, and I may do it on the others soon

Showcase Thought I’d show off a little
I recently got two new Kershaws and decided to pair each of my knives with a watch to select a new set for an EDC. I’m pretty fond of my set up.
Today’s carry is on the side—the Rough Ryder ReserveBar Back and the Seiko World Time.
The two new knives are the Dessert Warrior and the 2040.

NKD! Normandy Knives Shogun
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
If you’re looking for a unique OTF that breaks away from the usual and offers some serious elegance, the Shogun is definitely worth a look. The aluminum handle has a diamond/tsuka-maki pattern that is really clean and grippy. The action is very snappy and the lock up is solid. The curved Damascus blade has a distinctive samurai/tanto vibe that really stands out compared to standard drop-point OTFs. I really enjoy the shogun and it will definitely enter the weekly rotation.

NKD! Microtech Glock OTF knife
Just when I thought Microtech and Glock would not get another penny from me. Had to Pull the trigger on this collaboration. The Microtech Glock is the only Glock Weapon that’s on the roster in California smh 🤦♂️

Showcase Today's Carry
Today's Carry is an older Arcane Designs model that I purchased after market, the Preytheon. It's an inset liner lock with 20CV blade steel and titanium scales with zircuti inlay. Running on ceramic bearings, with thumb studs and front flipper deployment.

+ the first leather item I made for nostalgia
The Sheffield lad in me always enjoys a good AW knife to remind me where I came from since I live in NL now and since it's made by a mate from high school it's pretty cool to have anyways!
Rough Ryders are always a nice cheap option that always seem to have nice fit and finish in my experience while looking pretty cool.
