SDCC - San Diego About a month ago Reddit helped improve the free SDCC planning app I built. I implemented a ton of that feedback and would love more during the con.

EDIT: Android is now fully live and out of beta! Thank you everyone!!

Both Android and iOS links are at: https://www.conloot.app/download

Hi everyone!

About a month ago I posted to [r/SDCC](r/SDCC) asking for feedback on a free app I’d built called ConLoot. The response was awesome, and I actually implemented a lot of what people suggested. Since then I’ve added…

- Interactive exhibit hall map with booth locations
- Wishlists to save items you’re hunting for
- Verified vendor pages so you know information is coming directly from the vendor
- Better search and browsing
- A lot of bug fixes, UI improvements, and quality-of-life features based on your feedback

The biggest request by far was Android.

Good news: the Android beta is now live, and I’m hoping the full public Android release will be approved this week (fingers crossed 🤞).

If you’re on Android and would like to join the beta before it’s publicly available, just send me a DM with your Gmail and I’ll get you added as quickly as I can.

I’ve also been working with vendors leading up to Comic-Con, so new exclusives and booth information are being added every day. If you notice your favorite vendor is missing, or you’re a vendor yourself and want to be added, feel free to DM me and I’ll get you set up as quickly as I can.

This is still just a passion project that I work on after my day job. It’s completely free! no ads, subscriptions, paywalls, or donation button. I just wanted to build something that would make Comic-Con a little easier for fellow collectors.

I’d still love any feedback you have, especially during the convention. If you run into bugs, have feature ideas, or think something could work better while you’re actually using it on the show floor, let me know. Those real-world suggestions have been by far the most valuable.

Thanks again to everyone who commented on my original post (I also had no idea there was two San Diego comic con subreddits lol) It genuinely helped make ConLoot a much better app. I hope some of you find it useful this week! 😊

SDCC - San Diego Free, searchable list for San Diego Comic-Con 2026 comic book exclusives

For anyone looking to track which comic book exclusives are being promoted as available through the 2026 San Diego Comic-Con, CovrPrice just released their annual SDCC exclusives list, which of course includes all known exclusives, including those given away for free at the panels.

Free access to this list.

Where applicable, it shows who it's being sold through, including the booth number.

The database is searchable and it's also dynamic, meaning new entries will be added from now through the show dates.

If you're a retailer and have an SDCC-exclusive book you don't see on this list, add a comment or shoot me a DM with its details and I'll pass it along to get added!

SDCC - San Diego PSA:SDCC Group bag pickup tip

I'm reposting what I said last year. Obviously, the bags I mention below are from last year, but the idea is the same

If you're in a group when you go to pick up bags, split up so you all don't get the same exact bag. When you head down the aisle they'll be bags on your left and bags on your right. Split your group in half and one half go to the left and half go through the right. Then when you get to the side that you're going to spread out. The bands are mixed up on the table but usually not by very much.

For example, I was at the first position on my side and if you just stopped at me you have either gotten a The Rookie bag or Percy Jackson bag. The people further down the road had completely different bags. If you split up you're all likely to get different bags and be more likely to be able to trade for the bag you actually want.

SDCC - San Diego Unofficial SDCC planner for 2026 - free, low-data friendly, no accounts, accessible

I’ve wanted a way to build a schedule that includes literally every single SDCC event (from panels to offsites and more) ever since I started attending the convention in 2015.

So, I figured I’d build it myself!

• Build your own schedule
• Search and filter events and products
• Share your schedule with your group to plan together
• View conflicts
• Discover what events are happening close to your current location
• Wishlist exclusives and products
• Download a marked map that shows the booth locations for your wishlist items
• View wristband pickups on your schedule
• Import, export, and print your schedule
• Optimized specifically to load in low-data situations, and also optimized for accessibility!

No accounts, completely free, no ads, no tracking. I built this because I wanted it, and I’m sharing because I think it would be helpful for others :)

You can also download it as a Progressive Web App without using the App Store, which means it can be accessed from your Home Screen easily! On Apple, click “share” then “view more” then “add to Home Screen.” On Android, click the three dot menu, then click “add to Home Screen.”

I hope this is useful! I’ve already been using it to plan out my con schedule with my sisters this year :)

SDCC - San Diego Is it a free pop up or a booth?

Post image
24 Upvotes

Hi! I honestly don’t have much idea how comic con works despite living in San Diego my whole life, so when I saw that there would be what I think is a pop-up of my favorite show, I immediately knew I had to go. I could’ve sworn I don’t have to be a badge holder to get into a pop up and that’s what I’ve been reading online too… but the thing that’s confusing is the fact that this supposed pop-up has a booth # attached to it which implies that it will take place within the actual convention? I am so confused. If someone could explain so I won’t end up driving there tomorrow and get let down because I can’t get in would be much appreciated

Can I register my child tonight if I have a badge for Friday and Sunday?

SD local here.

I won a Friday exclusive with a wristband pickup before 9am.  My Comicon badge was mailed to me and i have it. The badge is valid for Friday and Sunday. I have a kid and need to register her for both of those days. So i don't have to deal with the anxiety of two enormous lines Friday morning (reg and wristband), I'm thinking about registering my kid tonight (Wed)? Is that possible?

Don't want to make a trip downtown tonight if it's all for naught.  Thanks in advance.

Hey, I am new to SDCC and wanted to know if there is any way to acquire the light pole banners with the Avengers Doomsday design.

Can you buy them?
Are they auctioned afterwards? Lottery?
Or is there any other way to get them?

If anybody knows, feel free to DM me.

I’d pay good money for a set!

Con Guests Discussion Con Interactions w/ celebs. Best celebs/ worst (friendly vs rude and off putting)

Hello all,

I know that this topic has been brought up before but i'm very curious in hearing stories. I am new to the Con world and I attended one of my first conventions last year. I had a blast and the culture was great. I do think some people can be a bit irritating and i think the celebrities get exhausted from it, which i can understand. That being said, who would be the best and worst interactions you had?

I'll throw my hat in the ring and say that I did get to meet Mick Foley but it was end of day and I think he was ready to wrap up. Didnt seem like a conversationist but it was nice meeting someone i watched growing up.

I was able to meet Dan Green and Eric Stuart. I've heard mixed about Eric, i wouldnt say he's unfriendly, just not much of a people person. This girl i seen at the front was in awe and a huge fan of his and he didnt flinch much. Not that it was mean, just that he didnt really respond or say extreme gratitude. Dan was awesome, i chatted slightly since his line was long but it was absolutely awesome getting merch signed and a picture with him.

I met Lisa Ortiz but the guy in front kind of ruined it for us. He was dressed up and just being obnoxious as all hell being mega cringe so when Lisa got to me she started to push the line though more. She was SUPER awesome though and it was awesome meeting one of my childhood sonic VAs.

The one who doesnt deserve it enough is Pete Capella, the OG voice of Silver. He deserved WAY more people in his line. Dude was so cool, did his voices, and loved talking about his experiences. Honestly one of the best down to earth guys ever like seriously. I havent seen him mentioned in these threads but this guy deserves the best i swear.

Let me know your stories. I'd be interested to hear what people have to say!

SDCC - San Diego Save Stargate Event at SDCC

This just came in.

You may have heard the news: Amazon MGM Studios' planned new Stargate series was abruptly cancelled in June after weeks of pre-production prep. #SaveStargate, a fan-organised and funded movement, has worked tirelessly for the last two months to prove that an active, dedicated audience exists for this content.

#SaveStargate plans to attend San Diego Comic Con in force this weekend to raise awareness about the campaign with like-minded sci-fi fans. The campaign also intends to reach out to Amazon MGM Studios, hoping to work with them to bring a new Stargate series to life.  We have three main events planned over the weekend. A Save Stargate banner flyover of the convention center, a party at Bay City Brewery on Friday, and an unveiling of a new 5e D&D Stargate module on Saturday. We invite co-goers to join us and play this brand new game written specifically for the #SaveStargate campaign. There will also be a cosplay contest and a fan meet-up.

Comic Con Québec - Canada Exhibitor Liability Insurance in Québec?

Not sure this is the right place to ask, but I'm tabling for the first time at comic con québec and they require public liability insurance. I'm very new to all of this so I don't really know where to look or even where to start?

I was wondering if any past exhibitors could guide me in the right direction?

SDCC - San Diego TBBT-Die-Hard-Fan looking for this comic

Hello dear fellas, Comic Con has always been a dream for me, but living in Europe, it's not possible for me to go.

I'm a die-hard The Big Bang Theory fan and SO excited for Stuart Fails To Save The Universe. The highlight of my year. I would be eternally grateful if anybody could get me one of their free copies of the exclusive promo comic.

I know, its probably a lot to ask, Comic Con is a lot and everybody has limited time and capacity. But if anybody might be in the area and could do that, I'd be eternally grateful. Of course I'd pay for shipping and everything.

SDCC - San Diego Costume ideas mother/son?

I’m looking for mother/ adult son costume ideas. My mom hasn’t been to comic con before and has recently become a SD county resident. She’s 76, and my brother is 38.

My mom is able to sew, crochet and knit and is generally well talented in most aesthetic fields.

Also my brother has access to 3D printers

Any ideas?
