I know that mesh is the logical option and won't kill your pc, but I genuinely can't find clear glass front panel cases anymore and it's honestly a shame. They're the prettiest parts I swear.

Also the case I linked used to be 90 CAD. Means they're probably cutting production of these types of cases by quite a bit.

How’s everyone actually keeping up with RAM stock and pricing right now? Are you checking specific sites regularly, using trackers or alerts, or just refreshing and hoping?

I’m curious if there is a working method or if it’s mostly chaos that the RAM crisis has caused…

i am getting really good deal on rx 6800xt but i heard 6000 series wont get drivers for new games so will i not be able to play new games i want(NO NEED) to keep my pc for atleast 5 years this is a very big investment in my country i can also get rtx 2080 ti which is also good deal but not as good of a deal as i am getting on the rx 6800xt which is faster and has more vram i NEED my pc to work for long time cuz i dont have the money to upgrade

The title basically explains it all. My usb slot is heating up all of a sudden whenever I plug in my card reader and sd card. All of a sudden, it burns my finger?! How do I fix this because NOW, my sd card isn't recognized!

5060ti 8gb is $384.99 and the rx 9060xt 16GB is $444.99 at the moment, is either a good deal right now and which should i get?

context- I use 1440p main and 1080p secondary, I mostly just play games that don't use much gpu (valorant, cs, fortnite, marvel) sometimes other games that might. I'm planning to build my first gaming PC with a 7800X3D and either an 9070 XT or an 5070 Ti.

For some background, I've been gaming on a laptop with a GTX 1050 Ti for the past 7 years. I'm not a hardcore gamer, I only play on weekends. Most of the time I play Dota 2, and occasionally I play AAA single-player games.

I haven't really kept up with the GPU or PC market over the last 7 years. From my brief research, it seems that the 9070 XT and 5070 Ti offer similar performance.

Since I only play on weekends, I'd prefer a GPU that's simple to use and as close to "plug and play" as possible. I don't want to spend time tweaking settings for every game. I'm fine with making occasional adjustments if necessary, but I don't want to do it every time I play.

In my country, the RTX 5070 Ti costs about $180 USD more than the RX 9070 XT. I can afford the 5070 Ti if it's worth it, but I generally prefer the better price-to-performance option since I don't game that much.

To be honest, I think this might be my first and last gaming PC because I've gradually been losing interest in gaming over the years. I expect I'll probably stop gaming altogether in about 5 years, so I'm looking for a GPU that can comfortably last until 5 years.

Given my situation, which GPU would you recommend?

On Amazon right now, the 5800XT is $220 while the x3d is $350. I have a 5070ti, and my current cpu is a 5600x. AM5 isn’t feasible right now with the ram prices, so I’m looking to make the most of my AM4 platform. Is the x3d worth an extra $130? I intend to skip the AM5 generation altogether and rock this build for half a decade or more, for the record.

i currently have a ryzen 5 5500 with 6500xt and gigabyte b450m motherboard. i wanna upgrade my gpu with preferably a one with 12 gigs of vram that wont cause bottlenecking much. playing moderately/highly gpu demanding games and 3D rendering. im thinking of rx 7700x but any help is appreciated :)

I was about to reserve the 7800x3d black mobo bundle but this morning I checked and now its 960$? This must be a glitch right? I feel like all my plans to build my first pc went out the window unless I can find another decent bundle. Also the 9800x3d bundles went to like 950$ (10$ less than the 7800x3d).

Hey everyone, I’m having a crisis over here. I bought a new cooler for my PC I built back in 2019. I was hoping to get into over clocking for the first time as my build was starting to fall behind.

I installed everything. Added some fans. Now the PC won’t POST.

Mobo DRAM light is on. I reseated the RAM, tried just one stick (I have 2) etc. I reset the CMOS. Reseated the CPU various times.

My CPU was stuck on the old cooler so I had to use a bit of force to get it off. I made sure not to rough up the green board or pins too bad and nothing looks bent but I’m not too sure how to tell honestly.

Is my CPU a goner? 😔

Edit: Now it’s not even staying on for more than a few seconds.

So basically I have a HP Pc that I use as a ubuntu server. It currently runs on a i3-10105 and my psu is the D19-180P2 80+ Gold, 180W.
And the thing is that I have a i7-10700k laying around from upgrading my gaming machine. Now I was wondering if it is possible to use my i7 and if yes how I can cap its power draw? Oh and also it has like a passive cooler (idk if its called passive cooler but I always had these big cpu coolers and this one is on fan and a heatsink under it) would that still work with it if power draw is capped?

Hi to all PC builders.

I figured I'm going to build my own kind of steam machine. I've got all the bits besides the case and cooler. Considering the 'consolness' of the build, A4-H2O looks very attractive. I've never built a SFF, so it's also a bit exciting and new experience, that will probably come with its own challenges.

The bits I want to build with:

CPU: 5600X

MOTHERBOARD: Gigabyte B550I Aorus Pro (a bit of an overkill, but availability of ITX boards in the UK is awful)

GPU: Gigabyte 7700 XT Gaming OC

5600X should be fairly easy to cool and I'm an air cooling fan (:D), but the A4-H2O is made for AIO. And here comes the slight dilemma.

I think there's not enough space in this case for any satisfying air cooler, right? Has anyone had any experience with this case?

And in fact, there's not a lot of cooling potential. No wonders considering the size.

Either way, AIO is supposed to go at the top and it seems that top is only place that would take any fans whatsoever. AIO feels a bit of an overkill for this CPU, but let's dance. I guess I could get a £50 AIO/radiator, stick couple of slim fans on it and be done.

But then I'm thinking, how to make this setup effective. If I fit AIO fans as push exhaust, won't it create negative pressure as there won't be any intake fans? Or maybe one fan at the top as intake,and other as exhaust? What do you think?

Is GPU supposed to work as an intake in this case?

Is it better to have fans as close to the grill as possible, or as far as possible? What should pull air better? I would bet on closer to the grill for better air intake.

How would you go with cooling in A4-H2O? Or maybe you already built in this case and can share how you sorted that out?

I fear that this lack of fan slots could quite negatively impact the thermals. Any thoughts?

I would appreciate some insight on how to go around with cooling in this case.

Im experincing random crashes on my PC, but the weird thing is, it only happens when Im gaming. After 5-10 minutes, the PC freezes hard (audio too), and it reboots. After that, everything is fine.

In logs I keep getting ''WHEA 17 PCI Express Root Port'' as the final warning before the crash. I highly suspect the PCIe riser cable is causing it, but I've also been told that my CPU is a possible contender. My components are:

- i7 13700KF

- 32GB DDR4

- 650W PSU

- 140mm AIO

- RTX 3060

- NZXT H1 V1

- Asus prime h610i-plus d4

PSU and AIO are stock NZXT, they come with the case. The riser cable is not the original fire hazard one, as the PC was build 2 years ago, and barely used until I got it (bought it used). I've heard the riser cable can cause this kind of issue, but the CPU is also known for being unstable, so Im unsure which it is.

Things I've done to try and fix it:

- Update BIOS

- Reinstall drivers

- OCCT stress test

- IPDT tool to test CPU (it passed)

- Custom profiles in bios for fans and power usage.

- Change PCI from 4.0 to 3.0

I orignally ran Linux CachyOS where I also experinced crashes (more than windows), so I highly doubt its the OS causing it. Both SSD's have also been tested, and both passed.

I do not have an extra cpu or motherboard to test with, and because of how the H1 is set up, I cant test the rig without a riser cable. Only option there is to take it to a repair shop, and let them troubleshoot it.

(Im aware the CPU is overkill compared to the rest. The guy I bought it from didn't know much about PC's, so he just spend all his extra cash on the CPU)

If anyone has experinced a similar issue, I would love to hear how you solved it!

Hey everyone. Im headed to MicroCenter tomorrow and the plan was to buy the MSI X870E-P Pro WiFi bundle for $829. Price of the bundle jumped up to $949 overnight. Im debating if I should save $50 and just buy the Gigabyte B850 Gaming X wifi 6E bundle for $899.

This build is getting expensive 😭 I’ll be gaming on a 4K 32” HP Omen Transcend 240Hz QD-OLED.

Having some problems with temperature lately on my GPU mostly. Here is my build:

Case: Versa H15 (m-ATX)
Fans: 5x Arctic P12 Pro PWM PST

• 2x front (intake)
• 2x top + 1x rear (exhaust)

Intake fans on one PWM header, exhaust on the other.

Build details:

• GPU: Zotac RTX 3060 AMP Twin Edge LHR
• CPU: Ryzen 5600x
• MB: Asus TUF gaming B550M-E

My problem is that GPU temperatures shoot up extremely fast to 90-95°C when gaming in AAA titles.

So far I tried:

GPU undervolting (Image of the graph) - little improvement, but still very hot.

Fan curves tuning through FanControl for intake (Intake configuration) and exhaust (Exhaust configuration) - a little bit better, but still not enough.

If you have any suggestion regarding airflow in the case, tuning fan curves or something GPU-related that I might be missing (thermal paste, card position, clearance, etc.), it would be greatly appreciated!

My desktop was on and running when I accidentally switched off the power strip, cutting power instantly. It hasn't booted since.

**Symptom:** When I press the power button, the fans and lights come on for about half a second, then it shuts off. It powers on by itself one more time, shuts off the same way, and then stays off. It does not loop indefinitely. No video output at any point.

On both attempts, the motherboard's EZ Debug LED stays lit red on **CPU**, solid. It does not cycle through CPU/DRAM/VGA/BOOT.

**Specs:**
- Motherboard: MSI MAG B560M MORTAR (MS-7D17)
- CPU: Intel Core i5-11600KF
- PSU: EVGA 850 BQ (80+ Bronze)
- Dedicated GPU (CPU is KF, no integrated graphics)

**What I've already tried, with no change:**
- Reseated the RAM
- Removed the GPU
- Full CMOS clear: unplugged from the wall, held the power button 30s to discharge, removed the CR2032 battery for 5 minutes, reinstalled it

**What I haven't been able to rule out:** I don't have a spare PSU to swap in, so I can't tell whether it's the power supply or the board/CPU.

Worth noting: this PC ran for 4 years with zero issues and nothing was touched or rebuilt before the failure. The only event was the power cut.

Is this most likely a dead/protection-tripped PSU, or should I assume the board or CPU took damage? Anything else worth testing before I pay a shop for a diagnosis?

I’m currently looking to upgrade but need to know if it’s time to do it or just stick with what I have. I’ve had mine for 7 years and my motherboard went bad on me. My build is

Should I sell my parts and get ready for an upgrade?

Hi, I built my PC like a month ago and since then I've been using the stock AMD cooler and I think It's time for a change. The problem is that every time I search on google about the best CPU cooler for my CPU (AMD Ryzen 5 8500G) I keep getting sponsored webs and I don't trust them a all thinking I wont get the best option from there. I'm petty sure that a classic fan cooler will be enough because an AIO will be excessive.

I managed to talk to a seller that was selling an AMD Ryzen 5 5500 CPU and AsRock B550m Pro 4 mobo as a bundle (Fan is already installed) for like $105 and was planning to get it later this week through meet up. Recently I saved up and upgraded my GPU to RX5600xt from GT1030 lol so I was excited to get a new cpu since the i3 keeps on maxxing to 100%.

Anyway, is it complicated to switch? I looked it up online and there are different opinions and I don't know whats real anymore. Do I just plug the wires on the mobo open my PC and it works or do I have to install updates mobo drivers on a flash drive?

So, recently i bought a new RTX 2060 super to get rid of my rx 550. But, what i actually got was a pretty low FPS. Some games before and after for you to get a example:

League of Legends (rx 550)

60-70 FPS All stable in maximum settings.

(Rtx 2060)

50-40 FPS Same settings but with hard stutter (going 20 fps sometimes)

In Minecraft and Rainbow Six Siege i got the almost same results, FPS Lost.

My specs are:

Hello all.

I have been gaming on a work laptop for 5 years (AMD Vega 8, then 780m now 890m) but I need the extra storage space for work stuff so games have to go.

I am upgrading my desktop for cheap to hopefully last a couple more years (I am rebuilding a car and a bike so budget goes to that for atleast 2 more years) and need advice on which GPU to buy.

Currently I have a i5-7400 and a 1050ti overclocked to about 1060 level (more or less) and I am replacing the i5 with a i7-6700k.

The GPU I am between a 1080 (~100€), 1080ti (~130€) or a 2060Super (~150€).

It has 16GB of ram, m.2 storage, a very expensive (at the time) z270 motherboard and 650W Gigabyte PSU.

I play at 1440p (yes the integrated GPUs have been handling it at medium/low settings, especially the 780m and 890m!). Mostly older single player games like Oblivion/Skyrim/Fallout 4, e-sports games and some newer stuff like Palworld and Baldur's Gate.

I don't want anything more expensive as the CPU would probably limit it. I can run 1440p on these games fine but it struggles for example in newer CS2 maps (cache gets like 50fps). I only play on linux (arch, btw) so I don't have that much overhead.

Does the 2060 Super's RTX (would be fun for minecraft shaders) and DLSS justify losing 5GB memory and some power to the 1080ti? And is there another GPU between 100€ and 150€ that would be preferable?

A year ago, I built a computer and took the pf550 power supply from Deepcool into it so that it would power my 12400f and rx6600, now I'm starting to find out that this unit is very bad, so is it worth changing it? And if so, what to change, of the options so far I have found only the Montech gamma ii 550w

Have you guys had experience with ants invading your PCs? They somehow always find mine, and I'm not forced to go ultra small form factor so I can literally hide the pc on a bag.
