Hi I’m currently in a pickle right now. My budget is around $2500usd-$2750usd at microcenter August 8th and I plan on playing games on a 4k 240hz oled (qd or woled not sure yet)

My game rotation right now is rocket league, Fortnite, modded Minecraft w/ shaders and plan on playing tons of story games (uncharted series, gow rag, tlou2, tomb raider series, new 007, old Batman games, maybe rust…. , rdr1-2 etc) My current monitor is a 180hz ipa 4k and my second monitor is a 4k ipa 60hz. I currently game on ps5 and this is my switch to pc.

Should I spend $1200usd for a nvidia 5080 or go with a 9070xt or 5070ti

Have had this pc for like a year, saved up for it +some money from my dad. Bought this as my first pc because it was one of their cheaper prebuilts and i was only playing fps games then. Planning on getting a GPU finally so i can actually properly play the games i bought on steam(Been playing rdr2 on low settings, 30fps). which is better? I keep seeing people insulting one of the two . The 9060xt is around 60-100$ more than 5060 where i live.

I recently upgraded from console to my first custom PC and I’m trying to keep my setup simple without getting a bulky headset. I’m looking for earbuds that are comfortable for longer sessions and still give me good audio for games like shooters and multiplayer titles. I don’t need anything fancy, just something reliable that works well with a desktop PC.

Does anyone have recommendations for best gaming earbuds that are worth considering? Is a wired option usually better for gaming or should I look at wireless ones too? Thanks for any advice.

I am looking for a solution, problem is that I need to hide the cables that are connected to my pc during visual investigation.

I want to drill a hole into the bottom of the case, so that i can feed the hdmi/usb cable hidden from underneath the case.

the back of the case, i will show that I have no extra cables attached to the PC but sneakily I have an hdmi going from beneath the case.

How do i connect the cables to the motherboard? is there an adapter that I can plug into a free pce slot for extra gpu?

Is 12600kf bottleneck rx 9070 in 1440p AAA games?

Hi everyone, I live in the Middle East, and shops around here have low stocks of everything currently and/or charge a hefty premium for it.

What are some shops that ship worldwide that you recommend?

All other posts seem to recommend Amazon, Newegg or Microcentre, but I’d rather not buy Amazon, Newegg charges crazy prices for anything shipped to my country and we don’t really have Microcentre, bestbuy, or walmart here. They’d probably charge 1.5x if they were here anyways.

I will use that PC mainly for gaming / videos / movies, as well as using blender and probably adobe. Main game I want to play now is Hogwarts Legacy and I'm eyeing Witcher 4 too.

What I would like to know:

• Good build?
• The case seem a bit big but has it good airflow? I might add another SSD or maybe HDD later.
• SSD is without heatsink because I read I don't need it with that build because it won't fit the mobo, correct?
• On PCPartPicker it says 515W so 850W might be overkill, but I think about upgrading CPU and GPU in 2 - 3 years when I have more money so I want some leeway. Is that good or should I aim for 1000W?
• The rm850e is a bit cheaper but I read it's worse quality and has coil whine. True? What about coil whine for GPU?
• I choose the RX 9070XT Challenger over Steel Legend because it's quite a bit cheaper. Are performances about the same or a lot of change? And RX 9070 is cheaper should I get that instead?
• Edifier speakers were the cheapest good speakers I was recommended. Is the sound quality good for what it is or other recommendations?
• Monitor wasn't on PCPartPicker but I'm thinking about S2725DC. Is this good enough for 1440p gaming?

I don't know which to choose between an RTX 5070 or an RX 9070 XT. In this case, the RX is even cheaper and has more memory, which is a point in its favor. But Nvidia's technological features and ray tracing seem to be better. Does RT make a big difference between graphics cards?

I know the XT is comparable to the 5070 Ti, however in my country it's 3k more expensive than the XT. Actually, the Xt is even cheaper than the regular RTX 5070 here.

I'm a student in Egypt with a summer job looking to buy my first PC, I was thinking of getting a prebuilt one since it's about the same price if not even cheaper for me.

RN I have enough money to buy a part but the whole thing is going to take a few more month, I was curios if it's worth to buy RAMs and SSDs now so I don't have to spend more later.

The title basically explains it all. My usb slot is heating up all of a sudden whenever I plug in my card reader and sd card. All of a sudden, it burns my finger?! How do I fix this because NOW, my sd card isn't recognized!

ive been looking on facebook marketplace (vancouver area) and keep seeing these cool cases by wjcoolman and snowman that are sold in prebuilts by local pc flippers. I looked on places like aliexpress and alibaba but theyre all so expensive, like $300-500 CAD if you include shipping, so theres no way those local flippers get their supply off of these marketplaces. Is there a way to obtain these cases without paying a fortune?

I recently swapped out my motherboard to the ROG STRIX B550-A and my GPU fans have not stopped spinning. I didn't have this issue with my other motherboard / I resolved it pretty quickly if I did. I feel like I've tried everything including; rechecking cables (a million times), updating BIOS, changing fan curve in bios, downloading a million different software's, trying to change fan curve in those software's, turning my pc off and on, reconnecting my GPU. I am going insane and I want to fix it. This is my last hope for guidance before I return it ;-;

My CPU temps average about 62 C. The power supply is very quite old which is my most likely problem. I have the computer plugged directly into the wall outlet. An important detail here the last few times my computer has shut down, my internet connection has cut out right before it shuts down.

This wouldn't explain why it continues to struggle to actually boot up after initial shutdown which leads me to think it's the power supply but any steps on how to diagnose further or steps to take would be greatly appreciated.

I’d like to use the Silverstone ES03-Wifi, but my motherboard doesn’t have a speaker connector. Is it possible to use the Power LED in place of the speaker by connecting it with jumper wires or something similar? It seems the ES03-Wifi uses the speaker connector to indicate whether the PC has booted up.

I'm running out of ideas and would really appreciate some advice.

## PC Specs

- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9700X

- GPU: RTX 5070 Ti (currently removed for troubleshooting)

- Motherboard (original): ASUS TUF GAMING B650E-PLUS WIFI

- Motherboard (replacement): MSI MAG B850 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI (brand new)

- Memory: Crucial DDR5-5600 32GB x2 (CP32G56C46U5.M8B1)

- SSD: WD_BLACK SN7100 2TB NVMe

- PSU: Corsair RM750x

- OS: Windows 11

## Background

I built this PC with all brand-new parts around October 2025.

During the first month, the system was a little unstable. Occasionally it wouldn't POST, but clearing CMOS always fixed it.

After that it became much more stable. For several months it worked almost perfectly, and POST failures became very rare (only once every few months).

Then in June 2026 it suddenly stopped POSTing completely.

## Current symptoms

- Power turns on normally.

- CPU cooler spins.

- No display.

- Cannot enter BIOS.

- Monitor shows "No Signal".

### ASUS motherboard

The DRAM debug LED stayed on.

I tried:

- CMOS clear

- BIOS FlashBack

- Each RAM stick individually in A2

- Integrated graphics (removed RTX 5070 Ti)

- Different monitor

- Different HDMI cable

No change.

## Replaced the motherboard

I assumed the ASUS motherboard had failed, so I bought a brand-new MSI MAG B850 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI.

I reused the CPU, RAM, PSU and SSD.

On the MSI board I tried:

- CMOS clear

- Flash BIOS to the latest version (completed successfully and rebooted automatically)

- Both RAM sticks individually in A2

- Integrated graphics only

- Different monitor

Still no POST.

The MSI EZ Debug LEDs now show both:

- CPU (red)

- DRAM (yellow)

at the same time.

I have confirmed this multiple times.

## Question

At this point, what would you suspect next?

Would you suspect:

- CPU failure (possibly the integrated memory controller)?

- PSU?

- RAM?

- Something else?

Since the motherboard has already been replaced and the BIOS has been updated, I'm not sure what the next step should be.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I recently got done putting together my build :

-White NZXT H9 FLOW RGB+

-Gigabyte X870 STEALTH ICE

-Seasonic Focus GX 1000

-R7 7800X3D (with a ThermalRight CPU plate)

-PowerColor 9070XT Red Devil Spectral White

-Samsung 9100 PRO

-White NZXT 420mm Kraken Elite AIO

During the assembly process, i encountered the following issues that worry me a little :

-With the build featuring a back-connect motherboard, I could not fit the CPU power cables (1x 8-pin (4+4) and 1x 4-pin (4+4 but separated), without breaking the plastic retention clips on the cables as the "window" left in the case to allow the cables to pass through it was too thin to allow them to be plugged into the motherboard (installed or uninstalled)

->The cables are sat into their ports but are missing their plastic retention clips. I'm thinking about taking the build apart and using tools to make the window slightly bigger to allow for new, non-unclipped, cables to pass. How dangerous is it if the CPU power cables were to be pulled/yanked out of their ports while the PC was powered on/working ?

-My PSU had an insufficient amount of "normal cable" PCIe ports for the amount my PC required. With my graphics card requiring 3x PCIe and my CPU 2x PCIe. I was short of one 6+2-pin cable for my NZXT Control Hub for the fans in my PC. I resorted to buying a male-to-male, PSU-end 12VHPWR to 6+2-pin-end cable for the Control Hub. Oddly, the bought cable does not "reach deep enough" for the plastic retention clip to "clip-on" to the female end of the NZXT Controller.

->Could this be an issue ? Would anything dangerous or harmful happen in the case of an eventual cable disconnection during operation ?

I haven't had time to actually use it past setting up Windows and basic apps. I'm currently on vacation but I'll share photos/videos of my problems as soon as I'll be back. I might re-post my questions or post an update later when images will be up !

Around $2,000 USD (I can stretch the budget a little if the performance gain is worth it).

Location:
Cambodia (Asia).

Main use:

• Gaming
• Office work (Microsoft Word, Excel, web browsing, multitasking)

Games I mainly play:

• Call of Duty: Warzone
• Call of Duty Multiplayer
• Apex Legends
• League of Legends
• Diablo IV

My main goal is to achieve 180–220 stable FPS in Call of Duty: Warzone at 1920×1080 using competitive (Low/Medium) settings. I also want excellent performance in other modern games.

Requirements:

• A compact case (Micro-ATX or Mini-ITX), as I travel between Cambodia and France and would like it to fit in a large suitcase.
• Excellent cooling and long-term reliability.
• I care much more about performance and cooling than RGB or aesthetics.
• I would like the PC to remain upgradeable for several years.

PC Part Picker is giving me the warning: "When the Asus PRIME OC GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16 GB Video Card is used, the maximum depth for the be quiet! Pure Base 501 Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case front radiator mount (radiator only) is reduced to 89 mm."

The GPU is 304mm while the case is supposed to fit up to 368mm and it looks like the fans are mounted from the front as well. Is this about something else (e.g. liquid cooling, which is not part of the build)?

I'm torn between this case and Antec Flux SE and don't know what the tiebreaker should be (don't really care about the frontpanel as it'd be facing a wall).

I have $550 and looking to upgrade my gaming PC. I‘ve figured out I can get a new 5060ti 8gb and get another stick of 16gb ddr5 for that much. I could also just get a used/discounted 5070 for the same price, but I’ll have a single stick of ram. Won’t be upgrading for a while, so what’s more important? My CPU is a Ryzen 5 7600x

My 1070 shorted out. Is it worth upgrading when my motherboard has me locked into an i56600k cpu?
