Question Is Reddit trying to keep me off Nofap ?
I understand people can have varying results, and some people whp were already disciplined and not addicted to pmo will not see a lot of benefits from nofap, but why is it the first thing i get when i type "nofap" on reddit ?
i though it was a coincidence but when i searched in communities, i couldnt find find this sub, the one with 200k followers.

Telling my Story My relapses this year
I am noting everytime whenever i relapse after noting it from January 2025 this is my relapse list this year from February. Note how I came from 5-6 days frequent relapse to 15 days average gap. Today is my day 17 and i am feeling really energetic and motivated, closer to my God and feeling a sense of proud in myself. It is not just about counting days but it is about questioning each relapse and acknowledging the pattern. In short this is one of the ways I would recommend to anyone to get rid of that curse
Motivate Me I just masterbuated and I feel so empty
I feel so empty whenever I finished masterbuating do yall truly know what to is happen and how I could stop trying to masterbuate again.
And whenever I masterbuate once and lose my streak it just ends up me masterbuating tons of times in the day

New to NoFap How even moderate porn usage almost destroyed my marriage
I didn't think fapping once every 2-3 days meant a porn addiction, until my sex life died in both my two long-term relationships (7&5-year relationships), and almost destroyed my current one. I can't imagine life without my now-fiancée.
My partners have always wanted sex, but I eventually stopped wanting it with them, and I knew it wasn't truly their problem.
Porn and masturbation always felt easier - I had long lost interest in foreplay and sexual intimacy with my partners. But I know I love my current partner with all my heart - yet the issue remained. What's wrong with me? How do some men still manage healthy sex lives with their long-term partners? This can't be normal.
For over a decade, I avoided seeking help, and kept thinking it would one day fix itself. They always said masturbating was healthy, and we shouldn't limit ourselves to porn. This was all wrong, and shouldn't be avoided at all.
At the end, I always couldn't help but seek out novelty - other women. Luckily, this time, it was just sexting with another woman, and I stopped it before it went anywhere else. But this could have ended it with my soulmate for good. I never would've forgiven myself.
Through therapy, I am convinced now that porn is a major cause of all these issues. Porn since a young age has wired my brain wrong with unrealistic expectations to be satisfied. Please don't hurt the ones that you love, and love you back. This is day 3 of nofap, and may the healing begin.

Understanding why I can't quit porn
I just snapped once again and masturbated to porn. And whilst I was in the middle of doing it I came to the kind of horrible realisation of why I think I can't seem to quit and why I always fall back into it.
I think it's simply down to the fact that I haven't found anything that feels quite like it or that can scratch the itch that only porn seems to be able to do. I'm 23 almost 24 and I've been using it for a good 12 13 years and I can't seem to think of something that makes me feel so alive and stimulate me as much. I've never been this explicit and vulnerable but I guess I have to make the most of the anonymity, but nothing hits the same as watching porn. The endless amount of options, taking your time, watching whatever you want and especially wherever you want, I've watched porn and masturbated to it in the absolute worst of places because of how the addiction has a choke hold on me. Public bathrooms, at work, at friend's houses, in the car whilst driving you name it I've done it.
Nothing makes me feels as much as when I give in to this addiction.
I can watch as much motivation videos, try and control my urges as much as possible, try and occupy myself, it always comes back and ends up triumphant in the end I just can't shake it. It gets to a point where whilst I'm doing it, I know it'd a bad thing, I know I shouldn't be doing it but that almost makes me do it even more because I tell myself "you shouldn't be doing it so make the most of the fsct that you're doing it" or even sometimes like this most recent time that has made me write this post, I was keeping in mind a quote that I read the other day about giving in to pleasure, short term pleasure especially is the worst thing you can do yadayadaya I can't remember the exact quote but laing those ligns and even with that in mind, I still continue to do it.
On the flip side things, nothing has made me feel as shit as porn and masturbation. I've lost girlfriends over this genuinely it's fucked, I almost lost my current relationship over it but I promised I'd stop but I can't and I can't bring myself to admit it to her because I feel it deep that she doesn't understand it. It's made me question my life, question what I'm doing, regret my life, made me feel like I'm throwing away my potential, numbing myself because I don't know what else to do and lack a purpose, the list goes on.
I consider myself quite a smart and intelligent guy, I've always been told u think outside the box and seem like a bright young lad, but this ever looming shadow always drags me back and I can't shake it, no matter how bad it makes me feel and how bad I know it is for my brain, my ambitions, my relationships all the rest of it. I can't seem to give it up. Always "one last time", "watch that video that you loved again", "no one will know it's fine", "just do it quick it doesn't count" it's insane I'm in an eternal hell hole of a loop.
No matter how bad I know it is, my urges can't seem to forget how good it feels too. I spend all my time convincing myself this is bad this is bad when I thin kthe real problem is that I'm trying to lie to myself that it isn't good because in reality it feels fucking amazing IN THE MOMENT. In that moment, nothing else matters, in that slight moment I no longer feel anxious about my life or ambitions or worry about my current relationship issues.
All of this to say and I hope someone read all of this it really would mean a lot even though if be surprised if they did lol is to try and admit to myself to stop trying to lie to myself that it's bad bad bad when I know deep down the reason I do it, is because it feels good and maybe that's the key to finally break the cycle, is to admit why I actually do it and then work backwards from there.
Thank you for reading what I have to say, if anyone wants to chat whether someone going through the same thing or someone that has previously gone through it, I'm all ears I feel kind of hopeless in the sense of it feels impossible to break the loop

Motivation 12 days clean!!
I can’t believe i made it 12 days not watching porn. Honestly i haven’t even had the urge to watch it at all. Everyday porn just makes me feel more and more disgusted. You guys can do it!! Don’t let something so evil take over your life mind and heart. I already feel a difference in terms of anxiety conversations and even just working. I have way more energy as well.

Porn Addiction 28 YO, Got intimate with my gf for the very first time, could not get erect. Feel like taking my own life.
I finally found a person I truly love but I am unable to get intimate with her. She says sex is very important for her. Meanwhile PIED is fucking up my mental health badly. I don't know how I can live with this.

New to NoFap This is the last time. No more fap.
I'm fucking done. I am so tired of this damn bullshit. It's the dopamine that does it, so much dopamine in such little time, it's hard to get it anywhere else.

Journal Check-In Day 31
Started out as a bad day because of work but ended wonderfully! Now I'm looking forward to another good day today
Day 0
I'm starting tonight. From now on I'm no longer going to masturbate.
It's never helped me with my gender dysphoria in fact it makes it worse.
It makes me feel dirty and disgusting and a wh*re.
Ever since I was 12 porn and masturbating has ruined my teenage years. I'm 15 now but soon I'm gonna be 20 and still masturbating. And I don't want to be that person for me or my partner.
So I'm going to keep you updated and hopefully reach my goal of 365 days clean, I know it'll be hard but I believe I can do this.

Slip-Up Prevention - Urgent! On the way home and the urges are starting.
It happens whenever I'm stressed. Today was a 14h workday and tomorrow will be the same. I'm on the way home and my body is already demanding a relapse for easy sleep. Images of some of the girls and fetishes I'm weakest for are flashing in my mind.
Working this much makes me rationalize easy release but I have such a good streak going. Could use any distraction so that I stand a chance tonight.

1 month!
Been fighting this addiction all my life (M/55). I started with sexaholics anonymous a couple years ago, but only got to a month once. I was dealing with a lot of stress and depression then, was harder to stay sober. I’m in a healthy relationship now and wanted to save sex for only with my partner. We only get together one day a week, so I’m still able to practice abstinence during the week. Good results so far.

Slip-Up Prevention - Urgent! "avoid triggers" the triggers are EVERYWHERE BRO
its when you go out, its in your phone when you scroll, on insta, reddit, it's in the movies, it's even in lyrics that can psychologically make you want to do it. i'm only on day 7 and i'm struggling, i tried to scroll but saw a woman post her waist and ass crack, it's AESTHETICALLY very pleasing, then you get the urge to yourself go online and watch more, the more you avoid it, the more it fuels it for later... my plan is to go months but i don't think it'll happen unfortunately

+1 Year Streak Lost
390 days later and I dont really feel like it helped me that much. I was looking for confidence and to get a gf, but I forgot that to do that I need to approach and start conversations and eventually try and go out there. Which i didnt do much. Im still the same guy in my mid twenties with no gf, had to finish my thesis like 6 months ago and im still dragging it. I still go to the gym like before, play sports and I think I have a healthy lifestyle, but I already had this prior to this "streak". Not to mention the amount of wet dreams that were kinda inconvenient. Anyway I just didnt want to get too attached to it and I think I already showed myself that Im capable of staying away from fapping. Ill keep trying to stay away from it but I wont be pressuring myself that much.

How many years?
It’s crazy to think that i have been masturbating and consuming pornography for 21 years.
What was your longest period and how did y’all break the habit of no longer jerking off like a fucking idiot.
