CLEVELAND (WJW) – FOX 8 News is taking a moment to remember our friend Pat Brady, who was the first traffic reporter in SkyFOX. She passed away after a yearslong battle with breast cancer.
Pat flew the skies over Cleveland for more than a decade, both on FOX 8 News in the Morning and in the afternoon shows.

Hi everyone so exactly as it says in the title I reach CLE through the Amtrak at 4am. My building manager will only be in the building at 9am and is understandably reluctant to keep the keys anywhere else.

What do I do from 4am to 9am? I will have two suitcases with me. I am a woman and will be alone so I am a little worried about the safety aspect as well.

Added context: The building I am meeting them at is an apartment building downtown where I will be staying, so would want to be around that area

Just saw the new sailing center form Cle Metro Parks has these in the Coming Soon section. They look so neat! Kinda exciting to see them on our water, and everything that might come with having them here.

A few questions. How frequent have outages been this year? Are they worse than previous years? What costs have you incurred because of these blackouts? Spoiled food? Generators? What else?

Has anyone been able to watch the new atsc 3.0 antenna tv channels yet? They showed up today when i rescanned my tv but i get an error when i try to watch them.

Long story short, I had an item of value stolen from my property recently. I can prove ownership and have filed a police report. I have an AirTag hidden on it and have been checking the location over the past week. It is still pinging and has been stationary in a shady apartment building.

I called the Cleveland Police non-emergency line and they told me that I can go over, call them again, and request a car come out to help me retrieve the item. I am interested in doing so, but I really don’t want to waste my time waiting for a slow or no response. I don’t want to sit and wait in front of this shady apartment building for more than a few minutes honestly. If they do come, can they even do anything?

Did the economic benefit match the cost of maintenance? Despite fighting to keep it, could this really be a good thing?

Of course it'll go through Cuyahoga County and the state of Ohio instead

I want to see them in dc or reluctantly Philly but those tickets are damn near gone. I’d be driving from Virginia Beach or flying and renting a car. I’ve never driven in a city the size of dc, Philly or Cleveland before so I’m just wondering

I constantly see people say 'Waaah if we brought Blockbusters back there would be world peace!' Well guess what, Cleveland still has a surviving family owned rental spot you can go to to relive the past!

I grew up going there, ive actually been going to Corenos since the 90's when it was at the old spot further down lorain but havent been as an adult. They're super nice and are obviously in it for the love of the game or they would have closed years ago.

It was so cool to go into a video store, I asked them for a membership and they said I need to come back with ID, a card to pay with and a recent bill for proof of address. Ill be going back soon because im excited to take my kids and let them pick out a movie like I did as a little man.

Plus they have an adult section which I was never old enough to go into so that cracked me up to check out. I had a huge grin the entire time and im sure my face was bright red haha.

Seriously guys, its the last of the Mohicans for our city. Show them some love and keep the traditions we want for our own kids so badly alive! If we want nice things, we have to go out and get them!

I do a lot of creative and nerdy stuff like cosplay, game development, etc. and I think it would be a great way to meet friends who do the same while also working on stuff together and helping each other but I have no idea where to start or how to go about that. I tried looking for groups, especially a cosplay group but couldn't find much.

I go to conventions but I find it difficult to make friends while at a con cuz there's so much going on, plus it would be fun to go to a con with fellow cosplay friends instead of alone. Also I think it is time to go back to making friends IRL instead of just doom scrolling and looking at people who have no idea you exist.

I've had this post written for a while but never posted it, but with all the recent ones looking for friends, I'm inspired to do it now.

I (37 F) am looking for people (18+) to play Candela Obscura with. It will be my first time GMing, but I've been really eager to try it out.

For those who don't know, Candela Obscura is a horror-themed ttrpg about an organization that investigates and contains supernatural threats. It takes place in a city called Newfaire in a world that is similar to our own during the late 1800s to early 1900s.

Candela's system is easy to learn and the game tends to be roleplay-heavy, so it's a great opportunity for people to try out playing a ttrpg for the first time, especially if you're into LARP or even acting/theater/improv.

This game has monsters, magic mixed with technology, and darker themes. Dressing for the time period is encouraged.

I was thinking of scheduling a time at Tabletop or a similar place. If I'm able to get enough people, we can set up a time/place to do a Session 0 to talk about your preferences, create your characters, and go over rules and lore.

I realize it's not a very popular game to play, but I want to at least try to find some people who are interested. I'm working on trying new things, so I was maybe hoping to see if there are others who want to try something new with me.

My boyfriend and I just moved here about three weeks ago, and while I’ve had three interviews, they’ve all either denied me or ghosted me. I’ve submitted countless applications to no avail. I can’t even really explore the city because I’m broke. Is anyone actually hiring right now? I live in Lakewood near Edgewater. I don’t drive, so I’d be taking the bus. Preferably retail but im willing to branch out.

I’m looking for an outdoor 400m track that’s definitely open to the public this Friday in the early afternoon.

A friend needs to complete a fitness test, and I’ll be administering it, so we need a track where we can do sprint repeats without worrying about getting interrupted.

I’m willing to drive anywhere from roughly:

West: Westlake
East: Beachwood
South: Hudson
North: Downtown Cleveland

The biggest thing is that I need to know with certainty that:

1- The track will actually be open on a Friday afternoon (not “sometimes it’s unlocked”).

2-The public is allowed to use it, so we won’t be asked to leave in the middle of the test.

If there aren’t any reliable outdoor options, I’d also appreciate recommendations for indoor tracks that offer day passes.
