Hi guys. I exhausted all of my federal loans (and did not know until last month) (i know i should’ve been more careful but im a non traditional adult student so im a bit clueless)

The worst part is I’m in my last two semesters and I’ve been reaching out to everybody I can about scholarships or funding that I could use. And I have an appointment with opportunities for disabled Ohioans but it’s not until after the due date for our bill is. if they backdate it that would be great, but if I don’t pay my bill by the start of the semester, can I not take the classes? I’m already registered for now? I have some grants left, but it won’t fully be covered until I either find helpful funding or apply for personal loans which is not ideal as a single mother working part-time.🤣

Did anyone work at the McDonald’s that’s near campus and do they hire UA students more easier .

To make a long story short….My end of semester grade didn’t match up with the grades in brightspace so I reached out to other classmates to see if I was missing any work. Then I reached out to the professor to see what was going on. They gave me the grade that was reflected on brightspace but then they threatened me with an incomplete because I talked to other students about my grade before talking to the professor. They told me I should not have done that and in the future I need to keep those things to myself. Is this an actual rule at Akron U or are they tripping?

I’m wary of Cru because I’m an ex-evangelical Christian. I’m leaning towards the Lutheran church and possibly the Catholic church. I’m open to some other things outside campus too.

Lost bracelet

I recently lost a very important gold bracelet on campus recently, Wednesday to be exact and was wondering if anyone at all has seen it, I just don't know what to do anymore 😭. It was a gift from my dad for my 16th birthday and I just feel awful about losing it. Its golden very small with 3 white clovers on it. I think I might have lost it walking from SIM to MaryGladwin, but im not too sure.

So I (a student) got a parking ticket last semester. I never paid it because fuck that. My tags were expired when they issued the ticket, and then a few weeks afterward I got a permit and renewed my tags. So today I got onto the Uakron Park website, and under “my citations” that ticket is not there when I type in my license plate. I think it just disappeared.

By the way, has anyone on here ever had admin tell them they couldn’t graduate until their parking fines were paid? If not, fuck it.

What exactly happened to the corrosion engineering degree? All I know of is that it was terminated. I was hoping to have taken the course. All parts of the site surrounding corrosion engineering were deleted, aside from some articles.

I was wondering if there are campus jobs that are for the entire year instead of a semester-long job. I’m looking for something flexible that isn't super difficult. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Hello everyone. I’m researching ABSN programs in the area and am curious if anyone has experience with this particular program at UA? If not the ABSN program, how is the standard nursing program?

I know any program like this will be difficult. I’m more interested in the quality of the program, the professors, the equipment, the connections to hospitals for clinicals.

Soon will begin graduate school at Akron and have just been given access to my Akron email. My undegrad institution also used an Outlook-based email system, but we also were given access to secondary Google accounts with the same email address that allowed us to access Google Drive with our institutional Outlook emails - the Gmails attached to these accounts were functionally useless, being able to send emails but not receive any, since all responses went to our Outlook. I was wondering if there is a similar feature for Akron, and if so, how I may access it. The website seems a bit difficult to navigate to find this info - yay!!! Thanks for any help.

I'm an upcoming freshman looking to go to Akron Uni as an art major. I was initially interested in doing the Studio Art program, mainly for sculpture, illustration and 3D modeling. However, after talking to some people, it looks like some of the courses listed online aren't actually being offered anymore? Does anyone in the art program have insider info on what's going on with all that? Kent is more expensive but at least they have the courses I want...also, with all of this financial stuff going on, I'm not sure how that's going to impact the art school. I know there's a lot of opportunities for scholarships in Akron's art program (and trips), but it seems like they're not exactly honest when it comes to listing online what classes are available.
