And 5star BNCAP and I don't know about all the changes in the interior. Although a new turbo engine rolled out. But the exterior upgrade is so negligible, it's kind of funny.. not that the car looks bad though

So I was driving to our farm, and it's been raining hard since morning, so the roads were clogged to the brim with water. I was accelerating fast because if I stopped accelerating, the car would stop in the middle of the road. Because of the sheer pressure of the water, the number plate fell off, and I don't know where it fell. And here I'm wondering, if my father finds out about it, I'm dead. 😭

After researching multiple choices, OC finally went with Victoris LXI CNG

So far so good. The engine's refinement is next level sometimes I need to check if the engine is turned on or not.

Gets all the necessary basic features apart from rear cam. Which can be installed directly to the OEM screen.

Since almost every modern automatic is shift-by-wire anyway, that giant lever in the center console is just an oversized toggle switch taking up prime real estate for no real reason.

Mercedes has done this forever, and Hyundai/Kia are bringing it back with their newer EVs (EV9, IONIQ 5/6)

As my username suggests, I love road trips. Ever since I got my license in 2004 as an 18-year-old, I have munched lakhs of kilometers on our roads, most of it in Southern India. I learned driving in a humble M800.

Anyway, in my family, we have a Brezza 2021 petrol, a Hyundai i20 2023 IVT, a Honda City 2018, and an Innova Crysta. After driving multiple cars, I feel sub-4-meter CSUV cars are a good fit for our roads for the following reasons:

1. Cost: You pay just 18% GST on a sub-4-meter car compared to 40% GST on a car that's even a centimeter longer than 4 meters. Let me put that into context. A Brezza, which is sub-4-meter, has only a couple of inches less legroom than, say, a Hyundai Creta. Unless your family is really tall, do you really need to pay 22% extra GST for a Creta? If the ex-factory price of a sub-4-meter and an above-4-meter car is 10 lakhs, you would pay 1.8 lakh rupees on a sub-4-meter car and 4.0 lakhs on a car over that length in GST. Let that sink in.

2. Parking: When I started driving 22 years back, parking was never an issue. Today, it's a pain in the wrong place. Most places like malls have very congested parking. The other day, I drove my Innova to a small mall in Thrissur, Kerala. I had a hard time parking it while the Venue next to me comfortably squeezed in.

3. Sub-4-meter cars have gotten better: Look at the new Venue. It is as good as a Creta minus the space. In fact, the Venue's interiors are a step above the Creta. Even the space is not all that bad. The 1-liter turbo engine on the Venue is more punchy than the 1.5 NA on the Creta.

Unless one needs a larger car for a specific use case, such as a lot of tall passengers or a lot of highway drives, a subcompact car is the right fit for our roads. You don't need to spend a ton to buy and maintain them.

My sister wants a car to commute to work and she doesnt drive manual so and she keep insisting on buying a cheaper car incase she damages it…

Spotted this beautiful Bentley Bentayga in Bengaluru a while back. I was awestruck seeing its design, size and it's aura on the road!! What a car!🤌

I've also seen a green Mulsane or Continental in Bengaluru, couldn't capture it's picture since it went by too quick.

Idk how but I feel extra motivated to achieve big in life whenever I see extremely high end cars on roads. Because seeing them in real gives an amazing feeling compared to its pictures and videos.

Over priced IMO, what do you think?

Every car reel that I see on instagram, might have the most rare aston martin, a ferrari v12, or even a vintage Jaguar but the comment section is always filled with people obsessing over a BMW somehow spotted in the reel. The funny part is, it can be a 320d and everyone in the comments will be losing their mind. I hate the chapprification of bmw in India.

The GLA 45 AMG was the most fun to drive AMG model ever sold in India, also the most affordable. Raw enough to drive like an old school Turbo refined enough to carry 4 comfortably cross country, and a ground clearance that allows you to jump over urban speed breakers. [OC]

I bought my Kia Seltos 1.5 NA Petrol Manual back in July 2020. I recently looked at my instrument cluster and realized I’ve officially crossed 1,05,800 km on the odometer.

Here’s the catch: I do not have a fixed daily commute or a compulsory long-distance travel routine. No 50 km round-trip office run, no fixed daily business route.
It’s almost entirely made up of spontaneous trips, city errands, site visits, and frequent impromptu highway/expressway runs. I just default to taking the car everywhere.

The Numbers Breakdown:
Total Running: ~1,05,840 km in exactly 6 years
Lifetime Average: ~17,600 km/year (~1,475 km/month)
Recent Spike: Clocked over 3,800 km in the last 40 days alone (~96 km/day!)
Ownership & Reliability Breakdown so far:
Engine & Reliability: Rock solid—zero engine parts replaced to date. Surprisingly, the engine is still running on the factory spark plugs at 1.05 lakh km!
Factory Clutch: Believe it or not, still running on the original factory clutch plate with no slipping. Smooth highway cruising (17.5 km/L on long stretches) has definitely saved it.
Brakes & Wear Items: Apart from routine fluids and filters, the only major mechanical parts ever changed are the front disc rotors (replaced twice).
Suspension: Finally starting to show its age—recently started hearing a distinct khad khad clunk over potholes, so a front-end suspension overhaul (link rods, control arms, struts) is up next on the maintenance list.

Most personal cars without a fixed office commute seem to average around 6,000–8,000 km a year (~40k–50k km over 6 years). Passing 1.05 lakh km without a daily office route feels like I’m practically living in the driver's seat.

Tata needs to up their game. And bring pedestrian safe cars with softer bumpers. Nissan Tekton is ranked No.15 and ommited by idiots of team Rushlane

We were travelling on the airport road and it said object on the road in the map but WE DIDNT KNOW IT WAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF US!!!! and we unfortunately drove over it. It was not really an object but u guys can see in the video. We have driven 7.8k kms and our next service is at 10k so should we wait till that or get it checked asap. And if we get it checked is it free of cost or should we pay anything to get it checked.

A few days ago, my brother and I were driving our 2014 Toyota Etios Liva home when we had a near miss that made me think about the car's A-pillar design.

We were taking a right turn from a main road into a narrow road at night. A motorcycle was approaching without its headlight on, and because of the turning angle, the A-pillar completely blocked my view of the rider. I only realized the bike was there when my brother shouted, "Bike!"

I braked immediately, and thankfully we avoided a collision.

What stood out to me is that this isn't the first time we've noticed this. Both my brother and I have felt that the Etios Liva's A-pillar creates a noticeable blind spot while turning, even during the day. Since then, I've started consciously leaning forward or backward slightly while turning to check if anything is hidden behind the pillar.

I'm curious whether this is something other Etios Liva owners have experienced, or if it's just a common trade-off with cars that have relatively thick A-pillars for structural safety.

Have you experienced something similar in the Etios Liva or in other cars? Do you have any techniques or habits to reduce the risk of A-pillar blind spots while driving?

[OC] Got the new VF 6 and it’s growing on me.

The blue colour and ivory interior combo is amazing. According to the dealership I’m one of the first people in the city to get this new colour combo.

The driving is smooth. Suspensions are well tuned. AC is good too. Driver cabin is well designed despite most of the features being controlled via the screen.

Bought a fast charger separately - not from the dealership and invested the savings in good quality cables and meter setup for home charging.

Gets new gen Hilux inspired front design
