Longest 10 days of my life, but they’re finally home!
HK SP5
DDM4 pistol lower
Sig MCX pistol lower
PWS pistol lower
LMT pistol lower
Second pic is the SP5 next to my AP5P. Difference in quality of finish is insane.
Time to hunt down a PWS MK111 mod 2 and DD MK18 upper

Walked into a local gun shop.
Saw these beauties for sale used. I said, "Gimme all 3!"
Ruger super blackhawk 3 screw, 7.5 in barrel, .44 magnum, 1966 manufacture, Altamont pearl black grips. No box or papers. Very nice condition with some cylinder wear. Barely any end shake, no flame cutting.
Ruger single 6 3 screw, 9.5 inch barrel, .22 lr with 22magnum cylinder, 1960 manufacture, original box. Very nice condition, some wear on left side of muzzle.
Ruger vaquero, bisley model, 5.5 inch barrel, .44 magnum, 2003 manufacture. Original box and manual. Looks to be barely fired, no end shake, no flame cutting.
$650 for blackhawk
$550 for single six
$700 for the bisley
Yay for guns!
Planning on moving just wondering what I need to change and what parts you guys recommend
I want to change as little as possible when it comes to
Functionality

Got bit by the gun bug.
SW MP15 Sport III
Mossberg 940 SPX
Glock 45 Gen 6
SW MP 2.0 Full
Sig Sauer P320 X5 Legion
Sig Sauer P365X Macro
Tried to post in the AK reddit but it keeps getting deleted by the mods. I'm dipping my toe in the AK world but don't want to add another caliber. I already bought a Pioneer 5.56 AK but have a surprise bonus coming so I'm looking to get a better quality 5.56 AK.

This is an honest question, and I'm claiming no authority on the subject matter. I have several red dots on my pistols, one on a PCC, and an LPVO on my lever. And I'm pretty unsure as to why you would want anything other than an LPVO on a rifle. Especially not for an AR. Obviously not for serious long range hunting, etc, but range day? Shooting cans out in the desert? Hunting vermin? Home defense? You can pull the 1x for up close and up to 6x, 8x or 10x for decent distances. What use cases am I missing here? Faster acquisition maybe? Like, I was considering getting a PA SLX Prism because I have an astigmatism, but then I'm stuck at 3x (or whatever) for the life of the thing. Sure, 1x is probably gonna be fine for most plinking, but an LPVO just seems so much more flexible. And especially more flexible that something like a red dot and magnifier. What am missing here?

If you had a $5,000 out-of-state gift budget for 1–3 off-roster handguns, what would you get?
My dad lives in Arizona and has been dealing with major health issues for years. He’s currently waiting on a heart transplant, and feeling his mortality, he wants to gift me a few handguns since he knows how much I love shooting.
Considering what’s already in my safe and the fact that I’ve wanted a P226 for a while, here is my top 3:
Sig Sauer P226 X-Five Legion
S&W M&P9 Competitor HD
S&W M&P9 Metal Carry Comp (Full-Size)
Curious to hear what you guys would pick.
Edit: I have an AR pistol, a bunch of ARs, a Shadow 2, and a Staccato XC among other handguns.

With all the newer polymer pistols now available on the California Roster from Sig, Walther, M&P, H&K, Springfield, and others, I keep asking myself if any of them are actually worth switching to. For me, so far, the answer is no. Not because I’m a hardcore Glock fanboy - I’m not. I own and have shot CZs, H&Ks, Walthers, Springfields, Sigs, and others. But in California, Glock made the most sense when I started: affordable, available, reliable, and well-supported. Over time, I built heavily into that ecosystem with mags, holsters, optics, spare parts, support gear, training, practice, and competition time. At this point, Glocks just feel natural and seamless for me.
That’s where I have trouble justifying a switch. Most newer service pistols do not give me a significant performance advantage, and with California’s magazine disconnects, extra 11% tax, and the added cost of mags, holsters, optics setups, parts, and time needed to get equally comfortable, the value just isn’t there. I also prefer keeping my pistols mostly OEM, aside from grip tape, slide milling, and optics, so buying something new just to start messing with internals to disable the disconnect does not appeal to me. I have not bought a new handgun in years, not because there is nothing good out there, but because nothing has offered enough of a real advantage to justify buying into another platform.
At this point, instead of another polymer pistol that does more or less the same thing, I’m starting to think I should just save up for a 2011 and get something that actually feels like a different category altogether.
Thoughts?

Hey yall, so I’ve been doing some research on conversion cylinders for black powder revolvers (specifically a pietta 1851 .36 cal colt navy which I’ll be getting soon) and I know that once you put a cylinder that accepts modern metallic cartridges, it is no longer classified as an antique firearm, and could be considered a ghost gun. But if I want to install one legally, what would be the process? The big questions I have is the frame of black powder revolvers usually have factory serial numbers already engraved, would it be possible to “apply for a unique sn” with that number? Also, because it’s single action does that make it exempt from the roster?
And for additional context, I am above the age of 21, I already have my fsc and multiple other guns that are registered to me. And I’m NOT someone who is prohibited to possess a standard firearm

So I've been looking at pistols for comp modding and the Echelon seems to be a good all-rounder for the price, is there anything else I should look into?

As title says. More fun / curiosity question than anything else.

Greetings,
My younger brother passed away last Wednesday in Los Angeles, California. I flew in the same day once I found out from San Antonio, Texas where I am a resident.
I came to assist my mother with coordinating the funeral and everything that comes with that. From what I gathered, since she is the only living parent she is the legal heir to his small estate which would include his firearms.
He has a probably 3 long guns and 3 pistols. I’ll have to go to the his apartment that he had with his girlfriend to inventory it.
I have a few myself in Texas. My mom would like me to have them so she doesn’t have to worry about it. She is 70, and does not want to deal with them. So what would be the process in getting these back to Texas or transferred to me so that I can fly back with them in mid August, of course legally.
Any help or suggestions is appreciated. I’ve reached out to U.S. Lawshield but they had no clue on California law. They suggested that if my brother owed any money like loans/credit that the creditors can come and take them. I don’t want that to happen. Also I went to Turner’s here in Pasadena just to see if they knew and they told me that my mother would need to register each firearm in her name and then can give them to me legally via intra-familial.
What do you guys think anyone experience this before?
Also he has no will, not married, no kids.

Hey guys! So I just got my final approval for my CCW, my investigator had called me on the 15th of this month telling me she put my CCW permit in the mail that day. Does anyone know if permitium order tracker updates and lets you know when it gets mailed out? I’m guessing I had missed the cutoff to get mine mailed out on the 15th since I haven’t received anything as of today.

Is a dealer exempt from AB 1263 if they are selling items on a peer to peer site like TacSwap or GafsHub? My understanding is that I’m a dealer and selling items as a dealer then I must follow the laws. What is your understanding? TIA
