This isn't just a what gun can I get thats legal post..ok it kinda is, but Ive done some research

I am about to come into some cash and I am gonna get one thing for myself with it. Ive got the lever action, Ive got the 1301, Pistols are pretty covered (I just brought home a Chiappa Rhino 60DS!) but I still don't have a 9mm.. The one thing I am missing is a carbine, and I think that is because in WA state it feels like I would have to drop a bunch of cash to play with a handicap and that just feels wrong. Especially given the reasons...

But the completist in me won't rest without that Carbine. I was going to swoop a Deerfield in .44 and then pick up one of those 10 round stick mags for it, but the ammo has to be a certain way or it really dmagaes the rifle and come to find out that could count as "modifying a centerfire rifle" to be an assualt weapon so its out. I think mini 14's are cool, but kinda vanilla. Does anyone have a Kel-Tec SU16? How do you like it? And there was one more platform that I can't remember that was legal and looked really awesome but I am drawing a blank on the name, I know thats not a lot to go on, but what are people picking up these days? Is there a hot new platform I should check out that wont get me put in the gulag? Thanks

Is there a way to get a concealed carry license in King County without interacting with cops?

I was told of a non-cop method for getting concealed carry but when I went to the site, I found it only applies to Pierce country. Is there any non-cop option for King county?

Additional Mags for a 92?

Other than OEM Beretta, are there any other reliable 10 round magazines out there? I had a bad experience some years ago with Mec-Gar mags for 1911s, and so I’m reluctant to waste money on their version. Any help would be appreciated.

Flying with firearms: A somewhat specific question

I'm taking a trip in a few weeks and will be taking my CCW. I also plan on taking some of my camera equipment in the same Nanuk case.

My current game plan is to have the firearm secured in my life pod, within the non-tsa locked Nanuk case. Is there any kind of regulation about have multiple layers of non TSA locks? I wouldn't think it'd be a problem, but this is the government we are talking about.

Also, would I be wrong to assume that luggage carrying firearms is still x-rayed? It'd be nice to not have to get a hand check every time I travel within the USA for my film.

Flying out of SEATAC if that matters/helps. Also, if anyone has recomendations for good non-TSA locks for use on Nanuk/pelican cases that'd be awesome. Thanks!

News 📰 Trump administration proposes new ATF rule to allow online gun sales to be shipped directly to homes

Alternate title: Republican controlled ATF proposes home firearm delivery

https://www.yahoo.com/news/politics/articles/guns-could-shipped-directly-homes-140015344.html

A new rule proposed by the Trump administration would allow the direct shipment of guns to buyer's homes in what could be one of the biggest changes to gun regulations in recent history.

The ATF predicts that half of all gun buyers, nearly 3.3 million people a year, would order guns for home delivery, though industry leaders say that number could actually be far higher. The change could save consumers $103.7 million annually in travel and other processing costs, according to ATF.

Advice 🤷‍♂️ [HELP] Prospective Shooter + International Guests

Hey all, I’m planning on getting into shooting with a friend and was looking at a few different places around Seattle like the West Coast Armory North, Bellevue Indoor Range, Securite, or Bellevue Gun Club and was wondering what you guys recommend given these factors:

1) both of us have not shot before and don’t mind taking a short intro class before we begin, but since we are only in Seattle for a limited time, don’t think we have time for a full on 4/5 hour course

2) my friend is a non US-citizen and visiting for a few days. I am a U.S. citizen and am able to go for a membership if needed. I plan to go shooting at least a bit more times than my friend before if I decide if it’s for me or not

3) we would like to try both handguns and rifles, and I know most membership-based ranges only offer handguns for the lowest tier membership… any recs?

Please be patient with me if I misunderstood or left out some details, this is my first time researching it and even getting into the topic. Thanks a lot!
