As the title reads.
While this sub is not used for sales of any kind.
Please refrain from asking about, discussing or trying to sell firearms or firearms related accessories till/if more clarification comes.
Blatantly posting about or asking to buy or sell firearms (looking at you guys around philly/the eastern half of PA) will result in a ban.
Thank you everyone for your support.

Looking for recommendations. I usually sit at SGL or Range USA in Robinson, but they both do not allow FRTs.

Anyone have a recent experience on getting a permit through them? The last time I did so was pre covid and it was like 10 days. I am at 17 and counting now.

(Typo in H.R. Reference Above: Should Read HR 7599)
It's time to make a critical decision--and it is based on the drastically changing political scene.
The Philadelphia-based 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals held that New Jersey's assault-firearm and large-capacity magazine restrictions violate the Second Amendment--a huge victory for gun owners as this is likely to accelerate SCOTUS to render a final decision in 2026 on the AR-15 and related weapons as "common use" and not "dangerous and unusual."
Specifically, this federal appeals court struck down New Jersey's ban on semiautomatic rifles and magazines capable of holding more than 10 rounds, prompting the National Rifle Association (NRA) to call the decision a "historic victory" in a case the gun-rights organization has litigated since 2018.
With that said, this will not stop Democrats and RINOs from continuing to infringe on our rights. H. R. 7599 and S. 889, the Federal Extreme Risk Protection Order Act (Red Flag Law)/Gun Confiscation Bills, have heavy Democratic sponsorship.
According to Chris Dorr, "The details of how a federal Red Flag law would work are every bit as shocking as you would expect, because legislation like this is designed to flip due process on its head and make gun owners prove their innocence after the damage has already been done.
»» It authorizes federal judges to order the confiscation of ALL firearms and ammunition even when criminal charges have never been filed.
»» It allows courts to consider emergency orders through ex parte proceedings, meaning the gun owner may not know what happened until after the order is issued.
»» It allows the recent purchase of a firearm or ammunition to be treated as supposed “evidence” in the process.
»» It opens the door for petitions from people who may have a grudge, including a bitter ex-spouse, a jealous coworker, or a neighbor looking to cause trouble.
»» It creates a system where once a gun owner is dragged into the process, the renewal machinery can keep the punishment going long after the first order is issued."
Like it or not, this is a political decision for gun owners across PA and the nation, and the Democratic Party of the past is rapidly being overtaken by the Democratic Socialist of America (DSA).
DSA’s committee identifies publicly as being 39.3% anarchists, 35.7% Marxists and 10.7% Democratic Socialists.
Under the DSA, a vote for the Democrats will be a certain vote for the elimination of the constitution and your 2A gun rights.
The DSA platform is bent on:
• Eliminating the US Constitution and 2A Gun Rights
• Eliminating God and Religion
• Eliminating the US Senate
• Eliminating the Free Market and Capitalism
• Making the Executive and Judiciary Chosen by and Subordinate to the Congress
• Giving Amnesty and Funding to All Illegal Immigrants
• Defunding the War Department
DSA’s Web of Caucuses Includes: The Red Star, Reform & Revolution, Marxist Unity Group, and the DSA Liberation Caucus
The Marxist Unity Group is rallying thousands of Marxists in the DSA around a shared vision for the future. This is based on the Minimum-Maximum Platform.
The Minimum-Maximum platform refers to the party’s comprehensive platform—the policies that it will immediately implement upon taking power. The Maximum platform refers to the results of this process: a world free of the markets, borders, classes, and all other oppressive structures that exist under capitalism, in a word, communism.
Voting is not a game where the Blue Team Competes Against the Red Team. The Blue Team is vanishing before our eyes, and YOU need to understand what is now at risk.
We are at a critical impasse as a nation, and it is only through our determination to do the right thing that we can avert the destruction of our freedoms as we know them in America.
Sign the petition here to send it to Senators Fetterman and McCormick along with your Congressmen:

Same staff and same old boring and repetitive posts on social media. Just change the Apotheon patch to a Guardian Training Center one. They aren’t even trying. Tayler was a long time manager and was all over the GTC Instagram/facebook profiles. So much for “new staff” and “new leadership”. Just a matter of time till they start kicking people out, banning them and blocking them online.
Normally go here for some rifle practice but last time I was there i was interested in doing some shotgun. Know they had signs for an ammo type but have since forgotten what it said. Trying to figure out online Ive gotten a mix bag of use slugs, shotshell no greater then #4 lead or #2 steel and don't use any slugs.
I also noticed they have a clay shooting area but when I've seen people using it they just walk out and place them on the ground. i know there is some houseing around so I'm guessing throwing is not allowed?
Can anyone confirm the correct ammo and how the clay area should be used?

Can anyone confirm or deny whether Philadelphia’s ghost gun statute is currently enforceable?

I’m in PA for work and I have an itch to shoot. I went to 717 Armory because when I googled indoor ranges it suggested that place, but when I went there I was told they didn’t have a range.
Also looking to rent since all my stuff is in Ohio.

I did a search of the subreddit, but only found usedarms.com? Which I guess didn't work out since the website won't load for me.

Just swung by to see what's up, staff seemed fine, nothing like the stories we've all heard.
Everything that isn't nailed down is 50% off including some guns. They are also willing to sell rentals, and negotiating seems to be on the table.
Inventory, no optics that I could see, some night sights but I didn't look too close. Some Glock and other random mags, no 556 pmags left, but plenty of junky 556 mags in a giant Tupperware bin. There was an ar pistol for 450 from some brand I'd never heard of, but at half off 275 I wouldn't feel bad about dragging it behind my car with a chain. Some ar magpul stuff left, plenty of cleaning shit, holsters, shirts, stickers, chest rigs, patches.
Tried the range, it was decent but the air was soupy due to the current weather conditions to stay long.
Overall decent experience but time will tell I suppose
Feel free to ask anything and I'll see what I can remember

Just moved to the Paxtonia area from out of state a couple weeks ago. Wanting to avoid the public ranges (I will if I absolutely have to lol). Looking for a club to join for recreational shooting, mostly rifle and pistol. I’ve been recommended Harrisburg Hunters & Anglers and it looks pretty good but a bit pricy as I’d be doing a family membership so my wife can join in on the fun. Not that price is a huge deal but also would like the fee’s to be reasonable. I was also taking a look at Blue Ridge and Palmyra Sportsmen association.
I’d love to hear some suggestions, opinions, experiences with any of the three. Or even suggest a different club nearby.

They’re selling everything but ammo and guns for 50% off minimum. Scored a Vickers slide stop for my G43X for $17 yesterday, came back today for some mags and practically stole a Primary Arms GLX prism for $175. They also had some S&W Airweight .22s and a Glock 44 for $200 each.

What does it mean if my background check goes to research status? I haven’t had an interaction with cops sense 2022 and that was just for a seatbelt which I paid the ticket for and bought a gun after that?

Best place online to find private party sales. (Obviously armslist is out the window)

Considering ordering a suppressor online and hoping to find someone relatively local to handle the NFA transfer. Anybody have a good experience in the Wilkes-Barre area? Ideally for a reasonable fee?

I haven't been to a gun show in years been thinking about going to the Phillys expo gun show.. mainly looking for military surplus. Is it worth going? Or just stick to gun auctions?
