Trigger warnings I try look out for are suicide/self harm, sexual violence, child abuse/domestic violence. Not that I won’t watch anything with those things but I like to know so I can be mentally prepared.

I have Disney plus, Hulu, HBO, prime video/paramount, Basically just throw out your all time faves I guess lol TIA!

Please recommend shows or movies about happy couples.

Heartstopper is the closest to what I'm thinking, although watching something like that about a straight couple would be even better, because I'm straight myself.

The genre doesn't have to be romance, but the relationship should be a big part of it.

What I definitely don't want is stupid misunderstandings as a plot device.

Hey everyone! I'm looking for recommendations (can be TV shows, movies, or even books lol) featuring characters with a very specific vibe: free-spirited, rebellious, sarcastic, funny, a bit chaotic, and who simply don't care what others think.
To give you a better idea of what I love, here are some examples of the style I'm looking for:
Characters: Chris and Cook (Skins), Brooke (One Tree Hill), Anne Lister (Gentleman Jack), Dexter (One Day), Jack (The White Lotus S2), and Adrian Ivashkov (Vampire Academy).
Vibes/Shows: The overall chaotic, messy energy of Skins, Shameless, and Grand Army.
If possible, it would be great if they're available on Netflix, Max, or Prime Video (or books that are easy to find). What do you guys recommend?

some stuff iv liked is:

- seinfeld: george is peak
- rush hour (obv)
- 2 and a half men: charlie is fantastic, love the banter
- modern family
- friends

what i dont like is completely absurd characters, or shows where the humor is derived from purely ridiculousness, or out of how offensive something or shock value, those are stuff i find hilarious when it adds to the joke, more than it being the joke...

I havent quite liked:

- its always sunny in philly: the characters are a lil too weird, the jokes rely too much on their weirdness and i get bored of that quick

- how i met your mother: idk why, i like the format, plot, characters, and dont get me wrong, iv binged it a bit and found it enjoyable but never really found it laugh out loud comedy. joke density would be a huge plus...

also a small pet peeve: i dont like comedic anger done wrong, like if costanza says anything while being angry its hilarious, same with kramer, inspector lee... done wrong kinda messes with me, done right and its absurdly hilarious

working on a project and i need *any* shows (focused on TV but i'll take other media as well) with a male main character and a majority-female supporting cast.

i already have male-heavy shows with male leads, female-heavy shows with female leads, and male-heavy shows with female leads, but i can't find ANY female-heavy shows with a male lead.

i thought i had one with Godless, given the lead is a man in a woman-only town, but, you guessed it, somehow there's more male characters then female characters. (technically, i do have Steven Universe already, but i'm looking at character portrayal and interpretation so preferably the characters would all be human and not, like, alien gems from outer space? but i'll take whatever at this point LOL)

i'm looking for literally anything: sitcoms, anime, cult tv shows, limited series, children's shows, movie duologies from the 1960s. whatever. it just needs to have *more* female characters than male characters, with a male lead. multiple male leads is fine (like Supernatural or Breaking Bad), but it can't be a male-female mixed lead team (like Bones or Scooby-Doo).

the show which got cancelled by netflix due to high budget, and no to very less audience, still turns out be a masterpiece made by the creator of "DARK".

Background: I just went through a break up (4+ years together) and basically need to keep something lighthearted on in the background all the time. Nothing too sad or dramatic. I'm just trying to pass the time and be cheered up.

I recently finished watching The Pitt seasons 1 and 2 and it might be up there with one of the best medical shows I've seen and ig I just want more. I've already watched these shows:

House, although never finished it, I watched seasons 1-4 or 5 around 3 times and every time I watch it I enjoy the earlier season, but then either get burned out or just don't feel like watching because of the show's quality.

The Good Doctor, watched it whole, really enjoyed it. Don't have much to say about it except that I really liked the interpersonal drama, but the way they show neurodivergent people kinda annoyed me as a neurodivergent person and it was reaaaally millennial coded. The ending was literally a TED talk 😭

The Pitt, loved the realism, the concept and the characters. Genuinely one of the most realistic shows I've seen in my life and really enjoyed every aspect of it.

Ideally I want something that's close in vibe to The Pitt, but not necessarily in the ER. I watched only 3 medical shows, but I really like that every show basically showed me a different aspect of, idk how to call it, hospital life? House was rare illnesses, Good Doctor was surgery and the Pitt was the ER. Ideally I'd want something to cover another different aspect of being a medical worker.

Guys i need a feel good show to binge. Something that'll keep me hooked and also has the potential to become a comfort show.

Help. I’ve watched young Sheldon all the way through 4x now. It’s my absolute comfort show and I have it on in the background all the time. However, I feel that it’s time to watch something new. I’ve tried getting into a few other sitcoms, but none hit the same spot. Any recommendations? I prefer short episodes cuz I have like no attention span.

Edit: I’ve also watched all of Sex and the City twice and have a similar relationship with it; unfortunately Netflix killed it.
