I am taking advantage of the $.99 a month subscriptions from Prime Day, and I was dying to See Count of Monte Cristo.

The first episode was okay. I was happy to see my old friend Nicholas Farrell (was obsessed with both Chariots of Fire and Jewel in the Crown). But, I was feeling a tiny bit--meh.

Then, Jeremy Irons broke through the wall. He was so amazing. I loved the table manners scene. Shoot, I loved every second of him.

After watching his episode, I Googled his name, Count of Monte Cristo, and "awards." Where are the accolades, man? I haven't been so enamored of him since the 80s when he was the "it" guy in period pieces. <3<3<3<3<3.

I’m confused. I just started watching The Forsytes as it came available in our country. The Forsyte Saga 2002 is one of my all time favorite period dramas ever but it’s been years since I l’ve last watched it, might be over 10 years.

The new version has this Louisa Byrne character who is Jolyon Forytes former lover, first love and has his twins. I don’t remember anything like this being part of the 2002 version. I haven’t read the books.

If possible, don’t give any spoilers, I’m only halfway through the second episode. Just curious to know was Louisa part of the 2002 version? Is she in the books? She must be, it’s such a big plot in the series.

Has anyone seen the inheritance 1997 movie? I saw it on prime and was curious if anyone recommended it.

I’m giving a shoutout to The Hardacres!I enjoyed season 1 quite a bit - its got a lot of heart. It’s about a working-class family in 1890s Yorkshire that rises from poverty on the fish docks to wealth at a country estate. season 2 came out in May but I haven’t started it yet. I hope season 2 holds up!

I know I’m plenty of years late to the party, but Belgravia is finally available in my country so I started it. I’m on chapter 4 and I’m a bit worried it’s a lot more drama than what I hoped for. I really need some feel good/romance story at the moment so I’m not sure. Will I suffer a lot? And if so, is it worth it?

I can’t watch season 2 of the Hardacres on prime (in the US) because I have to UPGRADE my Britbox???? The Britbox that’s already an extra thing???? They must not want a season 3 smh

So I'm sick in bed and watching nothing but bad TV. I read the description and decided to give it a shot. It's Italian, set in the 1600s, and it's about witch hunters vs witches.

It was...bad. And not in a "so bad it's good, kind of way," just bad. Bad and confusing. And it ended in a stupid cliffhanger that we're not getting the answer to because it looks like it was canceled.

Anyone else regret seeing this and wish to commiserate?
