Open [TOMT] Throat lozenges that had angry faces on them?

I have a memory of being a little kid back in the early 2000s, going through my mom's purse and eating some throat lozenges. They were really good.

I've tried to track down the brand but have had zero luck. All I remember is that they had scary scowling faces. Kind of like the drama comedy mask but in lossage form. I think my mom had a line about how they had those spaces on them to scare children from eating them since they had active ingredients but I could be making that up.

Any advice would be appreciated

Open [TOMT][Video] A white guy is asked to grab a "colored" object and he can't decide between the thing with colors on it or the black thing

Upvotes

It may have been a reel or a youtube video. I think it was relatively recent. The joke was that he was maybe racist think he was thinking "colored" as in the old way to refer to a black person, instead of like a colored pencil.

Solved [TOMT] [Movie] [2010s-2020s] Horror movie about a museum that kills people

I remember a few years ago, I don't remember exactly when, I was scrolling through the Netflix previews and came across this movie. I don't remember much but I do remember this one scene where this rich lady was ogling at a big reflective ball and put her hand on it, I believe it activated a mechanism where a hole opened up and the arm went in, presumably something happened to it like it being cut off. I only saw the preview and can't remember much else, but feel free to ask me anything!

Open [TOMT] Alt pop song most likely by Twenty One Pilots

Upvotes

Alt pop song that goes “listen to the ___ That I Know” with keyboard/ synth in the background that sounds emotional. It was made in the 2010s. If it’s not TOP, it’s probably by a different indie pop or pop punk band.

Open [TOMT][YouTube Video][2015-2020s] It/Pennywise Parody PSA for Texas Police Department?

Trying to find a low budget It/Pennywise Parody PSA created by what I think was a local Texas police department. It was some kind of safety video that parodied the opening of "It" with Georgie and the sewer drain, with a female officer/actress portraying Pennywise in the drain. I would think it was cautioning about playing in sewer drains but it might have been some kind of other stranger danger or Halloween safety PSA. Near the end of the video the Pennywise actress says "you'll float too!" This same department may have also had a cheesy Pokemon Go parody.

I dont have the original source so I tried My best to re-create it in bandlab, I have heard this melody exactly once all the way back in 2018 so my memory is faint

Open [TOMT][SONG] Female pop song (2000–2015) with almost the same vocal rhythm/cadence as Shakira's "Dai Dai" (1:26–1:42)

Upvotes

I'm from Mexico, and I've been trying to figure this out since the song came out.

The section from 1:26 to 1:42 of Shakira & Burna Boy – "Dai Dai" sounds extremely familiar to me, but not because of the melody, chords, instrumental, or production.

I'm referring only to the vocal rhythm, phrasing, cadence, and pauses in this part:

The way it's sung immediately reminds me of another song, probably by a female artist.

My first impression is that it's from around 2000–2015, most likely mainstream pop. The artist could be someone like:

  • Shakira
  • Rihanna
  • Jennifer Lopez
  • Madonna
  • Britney Spears
  • Katy Perry
  • Kesha

...or another similar pop artist from that era.

I also have the feeling it was a song that was played a lot on MTV, Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, VH1, or mainstream radio, so it was probably a big international hit.

I've searched Reddit, forums, and YouTube comments, but I haven't found an answer.

What's interesting is that in Spanish-language comments, other people have also told me that this exact section reminds them of another song, but they can't identify which one either. So it doesn't seem to be just me.

Again, I'm not looking for songs with similar melodies or instrumentals. I'm looking for a song with almost the same vocal cadence and rhythmic phrasing.

Does this remind anyone of a specific song?

If possible, please listen to the 1:26–1:42 section before answering.

Open [TOMT] [GAME] [2000s] Winx Club Online Coloring Game with A Very Specific Background Song

Upvotes

There was this game I used to play in the early 2000s where you could either color or dress up different winx club characters. There was a song that repeated in the background that went like "we are the winx. we are the winx. come join the club, we are the winx. Magical \[flowers?\], strange little \[powers?\]"

Open [TOMT][YouTube Video][2020-2025] Video of various 3D models with eyes and flesh-like materials with veins along with ticking and piano music in the background

I may be wrong with the year since I don't remember checking when the video was uploaded but I'm pretty sure it's one of those modern disturbing 3D art channels so it shouldn't be later than 2018/2019

I don't remember the channel's name or this video's title, the channel had similar videos to this one posted.

In the video there was a background music from a piano until it kind of cut off and changed tone and a ticking sound might've joined in then. I remember a commenter mentioning the ticking sound in the video and the effect that it gives. The quality of the 3D models/animations were strange since they looked very realistic but very fake simultaneously, it might've been the lighting I'm not sure.

In the video there were a few different models with various animations, there was something with an eye, maybe something mechanical, and what I distinctly remember, a hyper realistic heart with all of the individual veins clearly visible. The video must've been around 3 minutes long maybe even shorter since I'm sure I would've remembered getting annoyed at the simplistic piano tune dragging on for so long.

I tried looking through my watch history but I can't find it! I'm not too sure if when searching through your entire history YouTube only shows the first time you've watched a video but I remember watching it earlier this year and scrolled all the way back to January just to find nothing.

EDIT: I think I found a good example of what I meant by the 3D models looking very realistic and fake simultaneously: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cs_sTARlW9s The video I watched was higher quality, but its visuals had a similar distinct style where the lighting makes it obvious that this was made in some sort of 3D animation and/or modelling software.

Solved [TOMT] fantasy/time travel film featuring a black actress

I only remember seeing the ending of this film sometime before 2010. It featured an old man who looked a bit like Merlin talking to a Black actress, whom I believe was the protagonist. He opened a portal, and the woman decided to walk through it.

It was an English-language film, and I think the characters had American or Canadian accents.

I believe the actress was quite famous, but I cannot remember her face well enough to look her up. I would really appreciate it if anyone knows which film this might be.

Open [TOMT] Older movie(80s or 90s?) scenes that involve a fight that leaves one of them paralyzed on the side of the road.

This is a weird memory from childhood that pops up once in a while. Maybe the end of a movie/tv show that involved two men on a road trip. Maybe a crime thriller type of thing. Two regular looking white dudes. They get into an argument in a restroom at a gas station type of place(?), some kind of disagreement which results a fight where one of them ends up paralyzed and foaming at the mouth. The next part of my memory is the paralyzed guy being left to die in a ditch on the side of the road. The vibe is that the injury was an accident followed by a panic about what to do with the body. The police can't be called I guess because they are running from the law or involved in some kind of crime. Presumably they are friends or business partners or something like that?

I've had this memory and asked around and searched several times and never able to come up with anything. It mostly bothers me that it's such a vivid memory without being able to identify the source.

Maybe it was an obscure made for TV or straight to video thing that is just lost to time, or I'm just completely misremembering it. Thanks in advance.

Solved [TOMT] Looking for an older animated series.

I feel this is an older series. It is animated. It’s very stylized. The main lead is a woman cyborg. During the day she pretends to be a man and teach at a school. At night she fights other robots her creator made in order to get this green vial that I’m pretty sure sustains her life. She has this teacher friend who is buff and really hairy. One episode in particular is when the teacher friend gets turned into a werewolf.

Open [TOMT] [Music Album] (indie pop?) with cover art depicting an Escherian city/townscape

Upvotes

I know I don't have a lot to go on here I just recall seeing the album cover in the style of maybe an oil painting, next to a turntable while it was playing and I have no idea the artist or anything just that it had a really groovy feel to it and I would like to find and rediscover it. IIRC the prominent colors were like an earthy red clay with a backdrop of doorways, walkways and arches, maybe shop signage, pedestrians, possibly a vehicle or taxi driving through a street in the foreground, possibly blue sky overhead, The sound that comes to mind is reminiscent of something like SIAMÉS or The Dear Hunter with upbeat catchy tempo and lyrics forward melody.

Open [TOMT] YouTube video satirizing Disney's subliminal messages

Upvotes

There was this YouTube video I watched sometime back in 2013-2014, which was like a humorous video discussing the "subliminal messages" in Disney movies such as the penis tower from The Little Mermaid and the word SEX in The Lion King. In the video, there was this guy with glasses, who might have been Indian or Hispanic? He discussed all of the adult humor and claimed that this was wildly inappropriate for children's media. One of the skits involved him "calling up the Disney execs" to ask them why they hid a penis in The Little Mermaid and it showed Donald Duck answering the phone and saying in his Donald Duck voice "Whawhawhawha! Hey, we wasn't doing nothing bad. We was just having some fun is all." and he responded "Okay, well is little Timmy getting an image like this as a present at his Chuck E Cheese birthday party 'all in good fun'!?". Another part of the video had him interviewing the Queen Grimhelde from Snow White in a "bombshells revealed" interview, where he asked her why they were doing this. The Queen was shown facing away from the camera for some reason and while she was talking, the guy with the glasses kind of leaned over and got distracted by the wall behind her. The Queen asked what he was doing and he said "Oh, nothing sorry. That mirror is amazing by the way." After that, she went on to explain that Disney puts these sexual messages in their shows to subliminally program their audience into having sex. More people having sex means more kids and more kids means more money for Disney. She also mentioned that Disney World is putting hormones in their water supply, which is causing kids to go through puberty faster, speeding up the process. One of the images he showed was a black-and-white photo of a nursery full of babies that was supposedly taken at a Disney theme park. Another thing in the video he said was "So, you may be asking, 'Why would Disney do something like this?' Well, the answer may not surprise you. Money." and then it played a clip of Scrooge McDuck playing in his pile of gold coins, while the organ music from the Dracula movies played. I forgot the name of the video creator and I've been meaning it find it again. Any ideas on what it could be?

Open [TOMT] [SONG] [2020s] A random lofi song I used to listen to on SoundCloud

Upvotes

I'm trying to find a song I used to listen to on SoundCloud around 2022. It was by a smaller artist who I don't remember the name of. The song was a lofi rap song and I think that it may have used a sample. The song was titled something along the lines of "our story" and the lyrics were something like "I've been looking back and thinking bout our story" or "I've been driving round our neighborhood thinking bout our story" there are other lyrics where the singer (who's singing to his ex) asks about her dad and the new meds he started and something about her sibling (I think). That's about all I can remember.

It was stylistically similar to "I Tried Everything" by Foster and "To You, From Me" by Naethan Apollo. It was slow in tempo and had a very spoken word delivery, almost closer to talking than rapping. It was essentially about the artist remenescing on his relationship with his ex and asking about how she and her family are doing now, hence, "thinking bout our story." The artist was male and sounded younger, probably late teens or early twenties. I don't remember much about the cover photo on SoundCloud but I think it used yellow as it's primary color.

I've been looking for this song for the last 2 years since a glitch deleted my SoundCloud playlist, so any help would be appreciated.

Edit: I should probably throw out that I am aware that if this song did use a sample, that there's a good chance it was taken down for copyright purposes. But at the very least, it hasn't been deleted at the time my playlist glitched in ~2024

Open [TOMT] Anime with boy who finds letters left in his school

Upvotes

I've seen images of this show/movie multiple times online, but now that I want to watch it, I can't find anything.

The story seemed to be the main character was sick in a hospital when they were younger and befriended another sick child there, a boy. The main character gets better and goes to school and when they sit at their desk there's a letter inside with a number on it. The letter eventually leads them to make a friend with a girl in class and it leads to a scavenger hunt for other letters. Eventually, it comes out the sick boy from the hospital went to this school and left these letters before a big surgery so his school friend would meet his hospital friend? The show/movie ended with the last letter taking the two new friends to a train station where the sick boy was waiting, his surgery having been successful.

It's possible these details are wrong as I just gathered the general plot from images posted online. However, I'm confident it ends with the train station because the credits showed the three characters now a trio going through school in a series of snapshots. It seemed like a nice feel good story though so I'd like to watch if anyone can help

Open [TOMT] [Reddit Post] [Pre-2024] Mini atlatl demonstration

Upvotes

There was a video on reddit of a chinese dude throwing arrows (of the regular archery type) using a ruler or something as a "mini atlatl", but I haven't been able to find it since then. It is NOT the video you can find on Historical Archer's youtube channel, Jack uses a full size atlatl and fails miserably because it's the wrong length for the arrow.

Open [TOMT] [story] Halloween Crepeypasta about a town obsessed with pumpkins

Upvotes

Hello

Im looking for a creepypasta from a few years ago about a town obsessed with pumpkins.

From what i can remember of the story it was about op going on how they hated Halloween and pumpkin season cause his town was all about pumpkins, so him and his friends on holloween night decide to go out and smash every pumpkin they could find there being a whole thing before where one of the friends goes to get cheap masks from his brother. The story goes on until the friends get possessed and when the op is arrested by police theres a minor lore dump on how the town uses pumpkins to ward off an evil spirit or entity and the story ends with op about to be possessed and broken out of jail.

Open [TOMT] [Tosh.0 episode] [00's] Episode where, in some web redemption, Daniel Tosh references how many free cuts of wood you get at Home Depot.

He thinks it's three. I think off camera he's told they have unlimited cuts. He replies "Unlimited cuts. That's a fair and honest deal." I'm trying to turn that last bit into a gif but without remembering what episode this is I can't make any progress.
