Rather than a normal person being transported to another/magical world, a person from a magical world is transported to our normal one? Kinda like the movie Enchanted or Barbie?

Kinda burned out after watching many serious action anime and tokusatsu shows that came out recently, I wanna rest for a bit by watching something a bit slow, but still interesting.

It could be romance, slice of life, adventure, sports, drama or anything that wasn't too tense that I'll be sweating most of the time each episode.

Okay I watched Samurai Champloo and FLEW through it I fell in love with the whole thing. So ofc Cowboy Bebop came next right? ..... I'm literally crying I know the ending was meant to be this way and I am okay with that. But now I want something to cheer me up with a happy ending 😅 something funny and more lighthearted maybe like Dan da Dan. I really loved the apothecary diaries and Maomao's sense of humor in it. Maybe something on the chill side like smoking behind the supermarket with you. The feelings I have are equivalent to finishing a banger book/series and just feeling that void afterwards idk lol. What do yall recommend? I'm pretty open to anything and still fairly new in the world of anime so the options are vast. Thanks in advance yall!

I'm looking for some anime recommendations similar to Tokyo Ghoul, Parasyte, Code Geass, and Dandadan.

I really enjoy anime with:

• Great story and character development
• Action with darker or supernatural themes
• Psychological or strategic elements
• Memorable main characters

I'm not really looking for typical battle shonen. Anime like Yozakura Family just aren't my thing. I prefer something with a more unique or darker feel, like Tokyo Ghoul, Code Geass, or Parasyte.

What would you recommend? It doesn't have to be the same genre—I just want something that has a similar vibe and keeps you hooked from start to finish.

I’ve started getting into Anime over the last year or two. I feel like I’ve tried most of the big ones. I don’t really know how to effectively browse / filter by the things I like and don’t like so I’m hoping for some recs. I only watch English dubs if that makes a difference.

I currently don't have many friends. I can only say with confidence that certain family members are my real, close friends. While it's a blessing that I always have these people to turn to, the loneliness hits at work or during class. Whether I'm sitting alone or I have nobody to study with. But, I want to be okay with these things. All it takes is a shift of perspective, and fictional characters help out a lot with this. Even aside from that, seeing characters in similar situations provides a lot of comfort.

TLDR; I'm looking for anime that portray characters who have little to no friends but don't feel lonely - and just the overall beauty in being able to fulfill yourself as a person. Solitude.

AOT is one of my favorite anime, so I always thought I was pretty good at understanding complex stories.

But what's up with Lord of the Mysteries? I'm on Episode 3, and I still have no idea what's going on. 😭 It just feels really weird so far, and I'm honestly not getting interested enough to keep watching.

So, is the story really that confusing at the beginning, or am I just too dumb to understand it? 😅

Looking for romance where the main girl is legitimately not a good person, or very flawed. The flaws must actively create friction in the romance. Tsunderes are accepted, I'm a big fan of them.

I'm a bit tired of fluffy romances where the main girl doesn't have to do any substantial amount of growth.

Though it's not what I'm looking for, flawed male leads are also fine, but maybe avoid the classic rapey shoujo MLs. Really I'm just looking for large amount of character development and unlikable-ish characters in my romance.

Please DO NOT recommend stuff like Scum's Wish, Rent-a-GF, and other trashy series in the same veins.

Right now i’m looking for some cool school anime with magic, but I don’t really know wich one to watch! Does anyone have a few good recommendations? I don’t really care, if there are many battle or not but it’s important that the power scaling isn’t as broken as in 7ds.

I was trying to watch Livid woman's guide to getting revenge but I feel she isn't actually outsmarting anyone and the other kingdom prince is just incompetent and putting the grimoire just seems like there's no reason for wit. So i want to see one where the MC gets formal revenge by completely outclassing them in combat or wit,or by joining another faction who actively seeks to destroy the MCs original place

I've a separate caregory for tear jerkers and something that will make your eyes bawl, if i ever feel like dabbling into it. Could you help me rank and complete the list, ranking my titles and adding your own? First of all, I'll add some of my fav animes:

Death note, jjk, csm, noragami, erased, saiki k, the ramparts of ice, kimi ni todoke, lovely complex, the apothecary diaries, suzume, orange, a silent voice...

•Both shoujo and shounen are okay but shounen is my first priority

•I don't want any fan service but if the story is really really good I can tolerate it a little (like Chainsaw man or The apothecary diaries)

My criterias for shounen:

•I should be able to follow up, unlike Evangelion or sum

•It shouldn't feel like a completely another world unlike Evangelion (yes, again😓) or Re:zero or even Tomodachi game (tomodachi game did feel like another world because when they were in the game, they were too isolated)

•It shouldn't be boring unlike Solo Leveling or Evangelion (sorry evangelion fans..). I think Solo leveling was boring because nothing extraordinary was happening. The mc kept getting stronger every other episode but nothing besides that really happened

•It shouldn't be too long (I ain't watching One piece gng😢✌🏻)

•It should have a good ending. And it shouldn't be too sad throughout the series.

•Bloody scenes are okay but it shouldn't be TOO brutal ykwim. For example Csm and Jjk were perfectly fine. But when I tried watching Aot, it scared the hell out of me. I dropped it after ep 1.

My criterias for shoujo:

•I don't want a confession or a kiss etc. in the first episode. I want slow burn

•Same with shounen, it should have a good ending but I like it when it has melancholic vibes. Such as ao haru ride, a silent voice, orange etc. All of them has a good ending too

I know I'm probably asking for a lot, especially I have a lot of criterias for shounen. But if you still have an anime in mind, please help me because I'm so lost and can't find anything to watch

I don't remember much but I remember that the protagonist and her retainers were fleeing from a revolution I think and they got sent to modern day japan and is trying to adjust to life there. They have control over magic, as well.

The protagonist was taken in by a middle aged man and I remember a scene where the girl was trying to learn how to handle a skateboard.

I think she also got tangled up in a cult/scam taking advantage of her healing magic.

The protagonist's retainer/protector I remember was staying under a bridge and was sustaining herself on crickets.

I remember another female character who was a loli in stature but elegantly dressed and with a small tophat, maybe?

and she mostly sits behind an office table like a CEO of some kind.

I’ve been mindlessly scrolling through anime on crunchy roll looking for something mellow to watch. Ideally a slice of life/romance anime that’s not completely over the top. I’ve seen a lot of romance anime’s some hold my attention others it’s hard to commit. I’m looking for something kinda along the lines of Blue box, or my dress up darling. Any suggestions my friends?
