i’ve seen her do this once before when i first got her about two weeks ago. should i be concerned?
also why does her web look pink??
she’s a desert velvet spider (stegodyphus lineatus)

Location in the title, never seen such a big spider here in the area and I've been living here for a while, couldn't get a Pic of the top. Im used to seeing black widows and brown recluse.

It is the American green lynx spider

To me it looks like something a glass sculptor would create

It hunts by ambushing its prey and can spit venom up to a foot away

Their bites hurt, but aren't dangerous. Apparently they are abundant in Louisiana where I found it.

I know these guys are harmless but that didn't stop me from mildly freaking out when I saw how big he was. He was put back outside where he belongs before one of the cats killed him

She’s even prettier from the dorsal view! Short King is still hanging around. I’m wondering what kind of egg sac or whatever I could potentially see if he’s successful - will she keep it on her web or carry it somewhere else or what? I’d love to witness some Baby Booties come into the world 🥹

this one lives been in my living room. it’s obvi been there a while, I think it’s a southern house spider? I don’t like to disturb them too much so these are the best pics I could get, but does anyone know if it’s male or female?

My fiance pointed it out and I was really excited so I took a picture! I was able to get pretry close, but I didn't wanna stress him out. So cuuute!!! Wolfies are my fave!

I thought it might be a grass spider, but I think its darker and I cant see the spinerets very well... so I'm pretty sure its a wolfie!

Is it safe to have around, in the home with kids or should it be found and removed?

New to bug idenfication, can anyone tell me what this spider is? Was really excited to see how well he blended into the the tree. Sorry for poor camera quality.

I have two recordings. The first was July 2nd and the other is tonight. The bigger Spider is a known
resident just to the right of my front door. It’s been there for several months. Idk if the smaller one is the same one in both videos.

In the first video I thought they were very dead. The day after I realized that wasn’t so, for our door resident was very much alive when I left for work in the morning.

After seeing this “dead” state again tonight, I’d thought I’d ask if this were normal. Do they typically act dead when mating? I’ve only noticed the smaller spider close by when the larger looks dead. I lightly tapped on the upper web to see how if they responded, and they did.
