just went to check on my kids sleeping during a holiday to London and found this on the headboard. Managed to transport it to the tub to get a pic. Gemini tells me its a Giant House Spider but it is very black and hairy and the pics of those online appear more brown.

Location in the title, never seen such a big spider here in the area and I've been living here for a while, couldn't get a Pic of the top. Im used to seeing black widows and brown recluse.

Is it safe to have around, in the home with kids or should it be found and removed?

Hi Reddit ! I don’t know much about Reddit nor spiders so I need you alls help identifying this type of spider and if it’s dangerous or not. Or to at least guide me to the way I can find out. Hello! This is a very tiny about 1mm) baby spider in my bathroom of my tiny apartment.

I stunned a fly yesterday, and put it in his web, and he fought and fought and killed it and then fed for over seven hours. He is much fuller looking now, and I’m so happy.

Is there any way to ID him? I realise he may be too small.
