hi <3
My names Alice, (pics are me ha) i’m looking for 2-3 people (student or professional depending on property but doesn’t matter to me) to find a 3/4 bed house share with from end of August/start of September :) Alternatively if anyone has a spare room in a house share they need filling that would also be great!
About me… I’m 24, female, from Brighton but been living in Sheffield for a year, starting an MA in filmmaking at Hallam University in September. I love tattoos, metal music, films, gaming, alternative fashion, charity shopping, nature, animals! I’m clean, respectful, love to cook/bake :)
Looking for likeminded people aged somewhere between 21- 35, gender doesn’t matter, queer friendly, chilled, respectful, easygoing :) I’d like to be close ish to the city centre but more towards eccy road way.
If you think we’d get on and want to chat about finding a place, drop me a message and I’d love to meet up, see if we vibe :)) I have to be out of my current place by the 9th of September <3

Hi guys, so basically I have some cooked food that's already frozen, once I will be moving to my accomodation I won't have enough space in my own freezer to keep it (rn I am in an Airbnb), it's around 5-6 boxes of food. I only need to store it for a month like until End of August, any suggestions for what I can do? (Can't rent a freezer and bring it to my accomodation cause they don't allow external appliances)

Any thoughts on the best way to get from Hillsborough park to s12 after the Saturday Tramlines session?
I've heard the trams stop running. Tempted to walk straight in to town but we have 10 year old with us.
Any tips/tricks welcome

This weekend I’ll be visiting my first ever festival in the UK. I’ve got a VIP weekend ticket and am looking to be at the festival fairly early each day (around 12am-1pm).
On the Sunday, I’m seeing my favourite band at the Leadmill Stage at 18:45. I was wondering if it’s necessary to be camping at that stage all day long, and if it’s necessary to get to the festival early for any good spot at the main stage or leadmill stage. What time do people usually show up at this festival?

Hey Sheffield! 👋
I am part of a local design team working on a digital project, and we need your unfiltered opinions.
Too often, public health websites are built without actually talking to the people who are supposed to use them. We want to change that, but we need your help to make sure our new designs and ideas actually make sense.
We are looking for a few more locals to complete a quick survey and then join a relaxed, 45-minute video call to tell us what you think of an existing website. In exchange for your time, we’ll send you a £15 e-voucher (£5 for completing the survey, £10 for participating in the video call).
We only have 5 spots left for our final session on Tuesday 28th August at 7pm. If you are free and want to help out, drop a comment or send me a DM and I’ll share the details - thank you 🙏
Henry

Just to make people aware that my van was broken in to in the early hours today in the Hillsborough area. They stole one piece of machinery but luckily I remove the expensive stuff every day. I just want to make people aware that thieves are active in the area.

Last time I checked on Google it said permanently closed, but now it has active business hours? I tried to stop by today because it said it was open and I was in town but the shutter was down.
Has anyone seen it open recently? I also got an advert on Facebook for it recently so surely it is open at least sometimes?
Anyways I had a lovely experience browsing at 7th Magpie instead, highly recommend :)

Hi everyone,
I've just moved to Sheffield after spending 11 years living in London. I'm originally from Doncaster and moved to London for university - I enjoyed my time there, but eventually came to feel my life hadn't really changed and I hadn't grown much as a person, well, not in the last five or so years anyway. I'd spent the past several years going in circles, achieving very little, and I wasn't happy with that. I turn 30 at the end of this month, so wanting a kind of new start I decided to move to Sheffield, somewhere I'd spent a decent amount of time in my teens and knew I liked. It seems like a more simple, less stressful way of living here.
Thing is, I know nobody in Sheffield. I have a friend in Nottingham, but no one closer. I live alone, so I'm actively wanting to meet new people - guys and girls, I get along with pretty much everybody! I'm ideally looking for people aged 24-34 who I have at least a few things in common with. My interests include cinemagoing (I try to go at least once a week), films of the 1950s/60s/70s, reading and dogs. I work freelance in entertainment journalism - something I'm thankfully able to do wherever I live - and am in the early stages of planning a book about film censorship in the UK in the 1990s. I do drink, but am not a heavy drinker.
I'm not really wanting to go to group events etc to meet people - I find those things kind of forced, like you feel you need to make friends there even if there isn't anyone you'd normally be friends with.

At Uni of Sheff, or Hallam provided they allow UoS students. I’m so bored.
The handful that I’ve checked have stopped activities until Sept.
