The atmosphere in OG RE2 and RE3 was so haunting. Zombies moaning in the background while you walk through eerily quiet alleys, overwhelming darkness beyond...
Or exploring the R.P.D. for the first time while the iconic music plays...
It all evokes a feeling of isolation and scariness really effectively. And the fixed camera angles amplify that feeling. Masterworks.

Weāre talking about getting rid of discs and going all digital
Does most of the younger generation even know about booklets and inserts in games? Now itās a plastic box with a disc or card in it but there used to be actual guide books and insert ads for other games.
Iāve had this since I was a kid and thereās even a warranty card to mail in on the back where you need a physical stamp⦠whatās that???

I played the entire franchise throughout the years and so far the scariest stalker enemy for me is Jack Baker. Despite the monstrous looking Nemesis and Tyrant or the Girl, they never really made me feel like I cannot cross a room. Even for Lady Dimitrescu, my heart didnt skip a beat while getting past a room, i just did, knew she would be around but still went past and completed tasks. But for Jack Baker I was running like a rat for a safe room. Sometimes I stood in the doorframe looking beyond the corridors hoping Jack doesn't pop up. Maybe because the boundary is very confined for RE7, unlike the rest, but this dude has me jumping in my seat even if the noise is coming from a distance. What about you guys tho? Which stalker makes you scared while playing?

I mean this in the way of, sometimes it feels like whateverās happening is some sort of dark spell or just really spooky to the point where it canāt be explained as just another virus or infection.

Itās just the absolute best way to play. I love the Seamless HD ports, but the glow of a CRT tv just hits perfectly.

Ever since I saw the release trailer of the code veronica remake on summer games fest I was really excited. With Claire Redfield being my favorite gaming character, I was so happy Capcom brought her out the basement.
I didn't get to play the original code veronica, because I got into resident evil maybe a little recently than others, ive only played RE2 and RE8 village. I didn't really have a good chance to play the original code veronica. RE2 is where I fell in love with Claire's character. Especially where it shows how badass, loyal, and how great of a parental figure she was. She's such a great character in my eyes.
That being said the new design of Claire looks absolutely gorgeous, and the game looks absolutely sick. I love the wing on her jacket, looks really cool. 2027 cannot come fast enough. I even already saved enough money to pre order it (when they open for pre orders) and I am just way too hype for the game.

This bastard, Mr.X, the fucking Tyrant, T00 or whatever he is, the absolute chad alpha male prototype, WHY THE FUCK IS HE SO NONCHALANT AND TERRIFYING? IVE PLAYED SO MANY HORROR GAMES, AND NEVER, NEVER HAVE I EVER FELT THIS AMOUNT OF FEAR IN MY LIFE.
I've seen RE2 remake gameplay, and yes okay, never found him scary in the videos. But the moment I play the game, he is there, aura farming so menacingly.
The only moment I remembered of him entering the game was in some storage room. I DIDN'T KNOW HE CAME IN THE SCENE WHERE WE EXTINGUISH THE HELICOPTER? THE MOMENT THE GUY LIFTED THE HELICOPTER AND LOCKED EYES, I WAS ALREADY SWEATING.
Tho I dodged him in the open space in the Roof section, I genuinely got so scared. And then I underestimated the bastard. Seeing how slow I was, i thought that this unc won't be able to catch me at all, and so when I was peacefully doing my stuff, and the moment I heard those heavy boots. HOLY FUCK. THOSE BOOTS. LIKE, THANK GOD FOR THE AUDIO CUE BUT THATS THE MOMENT I STARTED TO PANIC. THAT MAN PICKED ME UP AND THREW ME AWAY HARD YO.
And the fact how he tails you is so fucking insane.
The whole game I thought about how easy it is going. BUT THE MOMENT HE APPEARED, I HAD TO SIT STRAIGHT.
HOW DOES ONE DEAL WITH HIM???
EDIT: While doing the Jail Part, that bastard came out of nowhere. I was already in that yellow health Caution thing, BUT THIS FUCKING WANKER AND HIS SHINY HEAD JUST AURA FARMED INTO THE DOORFRAME. EVEN THO I GOT HIT AND DODGED THE SECOND ONE, THAT ONE POLICEMAN ZOMBIE ON THE FLOOR CAUGHT ONTO ME. I SCREAMED SO LOUD š. AND THEN THAT CUTSCENE. HOLY SHIT. THIS GAME IS SO PEAK š„

I just stumbled upon this group while looking through the fandom wiki and they appear to be the King Fountain Manga version of the Umbrella Security service. And I was wondering if anyone knew stand for acronym wise (I know the U is probably for Umbrella) and how they differ to the U.S.S in the main timeline, if at all?

Then there's the Hound Wolf Squad and the rest of Wolfpack, though (like with HUNK) we have seen most of their faces already.

Roughly 1-2 months ago I started playing RE 2. I went Leon A Claire B. Then I played through RE 4. Last week I did RE3 in 3 days. Now I completed 7. It also went rather quickly as I did it over the course of 4 days. It was very different but I enjoyed the vibes and how itās kind of scarier. Biggest disappointment which Iām sure is not uncommon is how the flamethrower is absolutely worthless after Marguerite.
Ethan is basically a regular guy. Characters like Leon, Claire, Jill, Chris already have way more experience with guns and survival than the average person. So honestly itās kind of a panic to navigate the house and go up against Molded with little ammo at times.
I guess I ought to play Not a Hero at the very least. Not sure Iāll do all the other DLC. Honestly Iād rather go straight to village at this point. So itās been a lot of fun getting deep into this series.
As of now Iād rank the games I played like this
RE4>RE2>RE7>>RE3
Also out of curiosity the game progress bar on PlayStation is at 75% even after the main ending. To get 100 do I have to complete not a hero or do
I need to get ending 2. If itās the latter Iād rather not cause its a lot of trouble over a noncanon bad ending.

Re2 remake tattoo flash drawn by me with a kicker in the style of a Bert Grimm panther and Leon as a sailor Jerry pin up.

Now that they are on sale and cost the same, I really want to buy either RE5 or RE6 but am getting mixed feelings and want to make sure I won't regret the purchase.... I don't have any friends to play with and want to try playing with strangers. I already played RE5 solo and the AI sucked, and the gameplay sometimes made me rage so bad, but I want to play with other people to see if anything changes... Is it really worth it to get RE5 for the co-op with strangers? Or is RE6 better for co-op? I want to have fun with other people lol... But RE5 is the one I am most interested on. And if anybody would like to play with me once I buy it that would also be uber cool. Thank you for reading!
