Jesse Martin’s notebooks are tricker to ID as it looks like his character goes through a lot of notebooks in the show from different brands with no clear identifying markings. What seems consistent throughout is favoring A6 size, rounded corners, white unlined paper, soft flexible cover in grey or brown (paper cover or soft leather), and either pamphlet sewn or sewn multiple signatures that make the notebook up to 1/2 inch thick, with no extras like a bookmark or elastic closure.

This reminds me of those 3D memo pads. I'm always hesitant to buy things like this, because I know I wouldn't want to use it.

Thanks for this! They have them near me in MN (actually at T1, the first Target : P ) - I'm going to buy out the stock after work. I have searched for the right notebook for years and I really like the feel and price point of this one, plus tearable pages so I can shred client info that I don't want to carry around. Its a well-designed notebook!

Tangent, I was just in one of the merchandising test targets here over my lunch break and they are going crazy with new product lines. I called and asked my partner what they are doing - he said he thinks they are just throwing it all against the wall to see what sticks. I'm talking going through the vitamin aisle and they suddenly have all these brands I usually buy on Amazon - Physician's choice probiotics, etc. All of it is premium and at a high price point.

I use these everyday for my morning pages with my fountain pens. They’re not good with fountain pens, but I’ve experienced worse, also my morning pages are literally a disposable brain dumps so I don’t care. Beware there are 2 different qualities of these same notebooks, some are not even bleed through resistant, it needs to be explicitly stated on the sticker on the pack otherwise they are not and they will bleed through with fountain pens.

You can also get 7mm spaces lines, which I prefer.

Not even close to Midori quality, btw.

Edit: well silly me, I just noticed these are A5, I’m using either the A4 or B5, but it’s the same paper.

Yeah its Waterstones where I am.but the boss also owns Barnes and Noble.

I was thinking of getting it,but the gold on the pages maybe overkill.I can't remember what I wanted it for.if its for tasks then I'd say no.But it's nice,different. In the UK some stationary is declining sales,but premium is increasing.Retail price where I am, id say its only just premium, but it looks quality.

I haven’t had the chance to test it out yet as I just bought it. But the pages are relatively thick in my opinion.
