Hi! I'm a 26 year old Black woman from New York who's realized it's time to meet more people outside of work. I'm open to friendships first, but if something naturally grows into a relationship with another woman, I'm open to that too. I'm definitely not looking for hookups. A little about me: I'm an introvert who loves deep conversations more than small talk. I can spend hours talking about psychology, movies, life, business ideas, random "what if" questions, or why people do the things they do. I love horror, romantic comedies, thrillers, action movies, filmmaking, screenwriting, acting, music, video games, boxing, motorcycles (I'm still learning about them), and honestly learning about almost anything. I also have a pretty dark sense of humor, so don't be surprised if I laugh at something that probably shouldn't be funny. Even if we don't have the same hobbies, I'd love to hear someone passionately talk about theirs. You never know what you'll end up loving.

My biggest dream is to build a creative life. I want to write films, act, create games, make music, start businesses, and hopefully leave something meaningful behind. I love ambitious people, but I also admire kindness, emotional intelligence, curiosity, and people who genuinely care about others. I'm the kind of person who gets excited talking about someone's dreams just as much as my own.

I'll be honest. I sometimes feel like an outsider, even within the LGBTQIA+ community. It seems like everyone already has their group, everyone looks amazing, and everyone knows where they belong. Meanwhile, I'm just over here trying to find my people. If you've ever felt that way too, maybe we'll understand each other.

A random fun fact about me is that I used to know the entire ASL alphabet, but I forgot most of it because I never had anyone to practice with. I'd really love to relearn sign language someday, so if that's something you're interested in too, that's definitely a bonus.

Age doesn't matter much to me as long as you're 18+, respectful, and emotionally mature. Whether you're looking for a new friend, someone to grab coffee with, explore the city, binge horror movies, check out museums, go for long walks, talk about life, or just send each other random memes at 2 a.m., I'd love to meet genuine people.

Alright my parents are incredibly homophobic but I love them and couldn’t bare to lose them . I never want them to leave my life and they really are good .(except for the whole being homophobic…) Eventually I know they’ll get suspicious of the fact I am still single later in life and if I do begin dating someone and we live together they’ll be suspicious of that as well . I’m curious to know if anyone’s in the same boat as me . I know this is stupid but I’m just going to tell them we’re roommates for a while . I don’t know and don’t have any clue what to do as i am getting to the age where they’re like why have you not had a boyfriend yet ? I told them I’m focusing on my studies but what happens once I’m done?? I guess I’ll just saying I’m focused on my job 🤷🏻‍♀️

If you could have your dream wlw dating app what would it include?

I’ve really been considering building a new sapphic app because I’m so tired of what’s already out there so why not just build my own.

This originally started from my desire to make something grindr adjacent. As a stem lesbian mostly attracted to femme women and never really knowing if another woman is queer half the time (probably more than half lol). I understand all the safety concerns most women feel about that but if I could make it heavily moderated and safe from straight cis men/unicorn hunters/cpls looking for thirds/etc. I would love a way to make this happen for our community.

I know tho if I have desires/ideas y’all must too. So, hit me with what you’d love and what you wouldn’t and even what fears you have and I think this will be my new passion project!!

I came across a group for late in life lesbians and it said for 30+. I feel so old rn, I turn 30 this year and didn’t realize I was late into my life 😭 (I’m assuming they mean in general, not just coming out because I did that as a teen). I thought it was going to be for like 60+.
