VENT Has it ever happened to you that you are at school and you see a person that you think looks really cool and you feel like they could vibe well with you and you wanna talk to them and you could talk to them but they are with a friend group so you can't do anything and you just can sit there sad?

ADVICE How are some of you guys able to open people up so easily?

Just looking for some strategies you use in conversation when you’re looking to get to know someone. I do well in environments I’m comfortable with but when things are very neutral or unfamiliar, I’m not the greatest.

I see some social butterflies somehow make things work and I say to myself “it seems so simple but why can’t I be like that?” I don’t think it’s an energy thing, maybe it’s a perspective some extroverts have that I’m lacking?
