Hi everyone, I'm trying to identify a short anthology comic story I read in the 1960s (likely Marvel's Strange Tales, DC's House of Mystery, or a Charlton supernatural book like Ghostly Tales).

The story takes place at a neglected, abandoned house that is trapped in a permanent, localized rainstorm. A protagonist ends up at the property and manages to unlock/open a stuck door.

Opening the door releases the ghost of an old woman who lived there. She just wanted to be free to take care of her property again. The big detail I remember is that when she is freed, the rain stops completely, and the artwork suddenly transitions into a beautiful, vibrant full-color scene of her happily tending her blooming garden.

I'm looking for a 1960s horror anthology story where a sad house and property is always in the rain, with drab or no color, and the house turns into full color at the end when the door is opened and the ghost of an old woman is now free to tend her garden

I am not really a comic reader but I've wanted to read Claremont run of X-Men but a glimpse into the reading order is giving me a headache. I know Claremont is a bit of an outlier, but a lot of more popular teams/heroes seem to be split between 1-4 series.

Do you have any tips on how to get used to swapping between series and keeping track on what I need to read?

I like to read trade paperbacks as I can buy several issues at once or even an entire series. I’m finding it more and more difficult to find complete series lately. Anyone else encounter this?

Im a pretty new in the comic book field, although i love the characters and their ideals i just havent gotten around to reading them. Ive found that I really love short term collections such as Superman Up in the sky, and supergirl woman of tommorow, but when it comes to jumping into "runs" i get completely lost. Some characters pop in out of nowhere, or theres 20 different jump in points and crossovers and i get completely lost. It frustrates me that there could be a superb ongoing story that could just get ruined by a really bad author. Am I thinking correctly or am I just too new to the field?

Title. After 40+ years, the owner no longer wants to maintain the business and is shutting their doors on July 31st. I'm devastated because I love going and just perusing, but more than anything, I loved having ongoing stories to read. I have one last book to pick up on the 27th, but I'm going to have a very hard time reading it, not only because I'll never go back but because it's the start of a story and I'll have no way to keep reading it. So, I guess I'm asking how do I get comics anymore? Is there a service I can sign up for that sends them to my house? How do people without a LCS get comics? I know there's the option of kindle but I love the feel of going to the store and holding them in my hands, it just wouldn't be the same. Can anyone help?

By that I mean given how often times property gets destroyed do you all think there are insurances pacifically for those types of damages? Like spiderman using your car to fight against a villain or a villain destroying your home

I’ve only recently gotten into comic books and I’m looking to start collecting them. I mainly collect comics with covers that I find visually appealing, as well as comics featuring my favorite characters.
I live in Europe, and I’ve noticed that whenever I try to buy comics from eBay or online comic book stores, the shipping cost is almost always over €15.
For example, if I buy three comics, I end up paying around the price of three more comics just for shipping. Is that normal for buying comics in Europe, or does that seem unusually expensive?
I’m just curious if this is the standard experience or if I should be looking at different stores. Thanks!

Any Comic or graphic novel recommendations?

Currently I've got the idea to start writing my own comic. More something of an idea to begin creating and pitching around but right now I'm between 4 ideas.

(Note that these are very brief ideas, there's a lot more to them I've conceptualised already)

1. Someone with ghost like powers

2. School kids but thieves (Persona 5 like but different)

3. A world after the reign of the greek gods, essentially someone killed most of the gods and there's few left. Historical accuracy wouldn't be massively accurate since the world would be a fantasy world mixed with them, but where applicable accuracy would be attempted to be held.

4. One of the first major superheroes of the world leads a group of new heroes to train them.

Other than that, I'm more interesting in using this as research to gauge what are people interested in right now?
