Hihi! I really need new anime reccomendations! I keep trying to just find something that looks interesting on crunchyroll but they always end up being... weird. iykwim... and whenever i look and find just general "10 animes everyone should watch" lists its always just like naruto and one piece and stuff that i genuinely have zero interest in.

anyways, now that ive excused myself for making yet another "i need recs" post, below is a list of every anime that ive watched at least 1 full season of, listed (generally) in the order I would rank them based off my enjoyment while watching. I thought that would be easier than saying what kinds of genres I like because honestly what I most look for is character development and interactions. i just love characters. i dont really love action/adventure/fight heavy shows in general but i will make exceptions (for example, if i didnt love the characters in JJK so much, i would absolutely dislike it) sorry if this isnt enough info... or too much.

Although it could be overly-idealistic at times, Free! is probably one of the most inspiring sports anime out there. My heart was literally pounding every race, especially during the last movie. I find it kind of disappointing that we never got to see Haru win any individual medals on the world level, but I guess him winning the relay instead really drove home the point. I also love how it showed Makoto finding his passion in something other than competitive swimming and finding his purpose. I loved every character so much I wanted them to all tie for 1st 😭. I do feel the final movie should have been a whole season and they rushed it a little, but they managed to get the key story points down and wrap it up beautifully. My withdrawal is so bad right now 😭😭 I have to rewatch Haikyuu again to feel the same rush. If anyone has recommendations I would also appreciate it.

I used to enjoy watching ecchi slop, good times. After reading and watching nozuki ana i just couldn't anymore. The blend between the ecchi and an actual logical and interesting plot hit me so hard that i lost appetite for ecchi slop

Amazing show. Although I really wish L vs Light just kept going but lowkey drifted when L died but maybe bc I am a huge L fan. The demeanor, emotionless, aura, brilliance, loneliness, fearless, I mean I can go on, but I really want to find another show that has this type of character where I can have this deep connection to even though it was so short. That rain scene before L’s death was just so beautiful man.

I’m new to anime and have only watched attack on titan and this, so I have a lot of expectations but I feel like I need to realize I shouldn’t since these are one of the greatest of all time.

I like solving mysteries and when you have to guess who is the murderer for the whole series, and looking for an anime like that. What do you recommend?

For 5 years, I've only watched One Piece updates and haven't been checking out other animes.

I fell in love with it. Adventure, world-building and fantasy & magic are my favorite genres. I don't like fanservice/ecchi scenes especially if it is too much. It would be nice if there isn't. I've been a webtoon/novel reader of ORV and TCF during my 5 years so my standards are more finding wholesome platonic relationships. I don't mind romance as long as it is wholesome

Everyone thinks I'm crazy but the truth is that I truly just feel like she's exactly the type of woman I deserve an want. She is literally just me but as a female.... And I don't smoke but I am an absolute worthless good for nothing. And she's got a huge step up on me by having her own place. I'm sure the show's probably been talked to death here already, but what is everyone thinking of it so far? I'm obsessed.

I got into anime last summer after hating on it, and I’m sorry anime community because this is absolutely insane! So far I’ve finish 20, but I seriously don’t know what to watch, most of the shows apparently get good at ep something (although I am patient, I’ll give anything a try, but I want something that engages me right from the start).

So far I’ve watched: Aot, JJK, Demon slayer, Chainsaw man, DanDaDan, Blue lock, Sakamoto days, Hunter X Hunter, Zom 100, Kaguya-Sama: Love is war, Gals can’t be kind to an otaku, My first girlfriend was a gal (I didn’t know it was freaky but I was bored at 2AM last Tuesday and watched it), smoking behind the supermarket with you. I have also got the Kagurabachi manga and the Tokyo ghoul manga.

All these were great but I have 5 that stand above the others; Cyberpunk Edgerunners, Kekkai sensen, Mob Psycho100, Gurren Lagann and Fullmetal alchemist Brotherhood. In that order.

I have also started Fire Force, Kill la Kill and Neon genesis evangelion.

For any big three recommendations, I have recently started Naruto (ep 17), I am currently at Marineford arc in One Piece and I have ordered the Bleach Box manga box set wich is arriving on August 3rd.
