dont question it, I think I might have OCD or something, also sorry about the last image, I know that it's a really lame looking factory but I really just wanted to be done with phase 3, and sometimes you just gotta wing it.
ngl... im probably gonna restart midway through tier 4 arent i 😭

I don'y know who needs to hear this, but I just realised that when making vertical pipes the game will suggest a placement for the next pipe. This is a trap to slow flowing fluids! I am using mk.2 pumps and the suggest distance is almost 5 meter higher than the pumps suggested headlift.

Obviously they aren’t powered in the pic but even when they are all powered sufficiently and the extractors are full my coal plants directly above aren’t getting any water, it’s one pipe to one plant if that matters. Sorry I’m not very good at this stuff so if I’m being stupid just tell me

And today, for the first time ever, after 1900 hours of gameplay (yes a lot of that was AFK hours), countless restarts, and multiple computer upgrades/replacements, I have completed the game.
Credits reached, all trophies, all MAM research, all tech tree, all alt recipes, all achievements. I honestly never thought this day would come.

pictures from various times, you can see it change
we are in phase 4, only just starting on the magnetic field generators after doing 5 assembly director systems per minute. it is 256*256*>600m tall, consisting of nine 80m*80m squares, each separated by a single foundation. this puts its at over double and maybe even over triple the volume of the largest factory in the world, which is owned by Boeing. i think its over 2 billion cubic feet by now.
that thing spiraling up around the sides in some of the pictures with it at its current height are train tracks, taking 10 uranium fuel rods per minute and returning with 500 waste per minute. it gets going at like 250 km/h on the way down and its awesome.
the shorter portion to the right of the tower is the railyard. currently, it supports 10 trains, each with four locomotives and ten cars, although there are only eight built right now.
we have had to move the space elevator up two floors because it was simply too tall, and the space elevator would cause problems with building the next floor.
the second to last picture is looking down from the top of the tower. it is so tall that fog fully obscures the floor that the space elevator was on, and then disappears again.
i have noticed an issue with the drone pathfinding because it is so tall. if you place the drone port so that the back eight meters are hanging off the side of the foundation, the drone will always fly up to the very top of the structure before descending. this is really killing my throughput lol
anyways thats all :3

I do have a theory tho, but im not sure how to fix it knowing that, if it even the culprit at all (which i dont see how it could be)
anyway, see that truck going off in the distance? that's a new line, going from the Caterium Station to the Steel product Receiver (at the place im at), so they overlap at certain sections, and this same station is now hosting two truck lines.
Having said that, the Caterium Line is working fine, it just traspasses this not moving truck.
any ideas on how to fix it? i dont wanna make a new station for each new line that goes to the Hub
Im gonna leave the post for future people with this issue i think, unless the mods wanna remove it ofc

Hey all, I’m about to complete phase 2, have a decent iron factory set up with a couple coal power plants and some copper and steel satellite factories. I’m getting to the point where it makes sense to increase my production for some higher tier items.
As I’ve thought about it and looked at some opinions on how to do this, it seems the general consensus is to keep factories independent and not build onto previous factories. What I mean by this is instead of expanding upon my previous iron plate line to make something more complex, start a new factory fresh from a new node.
This raises a question for me though, what do I do with all of the excess steel plates I’m producing if not using them to fund further production lines? Right now I have ~3-4 storage containers full of essentially most basic resources such as iron plates, screws, rods, etc.
Trying to wrap my brain around this concept without losing my mind in the process, any tips are appreciated!

God I love this game. 2x recipe parts and 25x elevator. Even just 2x is surprisingly brutal the pressure on early input volume is constant, and I haven't even finished phase 3.
I love building organic, giant, looooooming factories. The sense of scale you get in this game is just amazing <3

for like manifold lines, so they don't take forever to fill. cause sometimes it just unrealistic to make a perfecter splitter setup. it could be like a MAM research or smth.

Edit: it was the hover pack 🤦♂️
I just set up these machines to fill a crate with reanimated SAM while I went looking for hard drives but I couldn't figure out why these bio burners wouldn't provide power. Just one generator should be enough to power the mk.1 miner and two constructors, I tried different fuels, rebuilding everything but I ended up just taking the time to connect it back to my base. Have I just forgotten some part of how bio burners work?

i only have the achievement left (getting 100 hard drives): do you know which items are needed to unlock all 100 of them, or are they specific to the run? thanks in advance for the replies.
