Help I'm a big noob and I don't know how to set correctly my fondation

Hello, I recently started this game and I tried a lot of time to set my first foundations correctly BUT each time I begin to set these, I see that I have a lot of issues with the ground (rock pass through my foundations or the ground is a bit too high in some places). Do you have any recommendations to set my foundations correctly for my factory?

Question Stuck at tier 2

I've done all the milestones and everything there is grayed out since its all completed. Now I can find nothing to click on to advance.

I looked for help in other posts by those who have the same issue, and read I should build the space elevator. The help people provide never says where to click or anything but I recall the AI saying something about smart plating, so I built smart plating and nothing happened. I really need to find out how to progress. Any help is truly appreciated!

P.S. I'm on Xbox series X, too poor for gaming pc haha... Apologies for the long post.

Modded Content Object scanner mod…?

Does anyone know if there is a mod that will limit the amount of objects the scanner can detect?

I would like to scan for drives, spheres & sloops… nuts and berries not so much.
I know you can carry more than one scanner, but that’s overkill I reckon.

Discussion Would using Creative Mode in a separate world be good or bad?

I’ve gotten to I think Tier 4 (it’s been a while since I played) but I struggle to actually build true factories, especially once you start getting into the higher tiers.

I had a thought that maybe I should just mess around in Creative Mode for a while, just to get some practice in, see if I like how things come together, and then put that experience to work in a Survival World?

What do you guys think?

Bug Walls do not allign perfectly with pillars and beams

yes this is the second post because people kept thinking I was dumb and just discovered perspective.

The first and second images are from both end of the beam and the angle is visible : the first image has the wall inside the beam, and the second has a clear groove.

the third image are 2 zooped wall from both side, colored coded to see the difference (which is, again, clearly visible.

the third one is singular walls placed alongside the beam, showing the slight angle each wall has.

Obviously they aren’t powered in the pic but even when they are all powered sufficiently and the extractors are full my coal plants directly above aren’t getting any water, it’s one pipe to one plant if that matters. Sorry I’m not very good at this stuff so if I’m being stupid just tell me

Question I cannot figure out why these bio burners won't power these machines

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Edit: it was the hover pack 🤦‍♂️

I just set up these machines to fill a crate with reanimated SAM while I went looking for hard drives but I couldn't figure out why these bio burners wouldn't provide power. Just one generator should be enough to power the mk.1 miner and two constructors, I tried different fuels, rebuilding everything but I ended up just taking the time to connect it back to my base. Have I just forgotten some part of how bio burners work?

for like manifold lines, so they don't take forever to fill. cause sometimes it just unrealistic to make a perfecter splitter setup. it could be like a MAM research or smth.

Question Any recommendations for playthrough videos?

Not looking for guides on specific topics but rather something more organic. I always seem to lose motivation once getting to plastic because it gets more complex than what I want to bother with. I think it would be helpful to see someone else going through the process and leveraging that. Any suggestions out there?

Roads and Trucks

Even after 1.2 changes to trucks and roads I'm still not convinced of their viablity. They just still feel like a pain to me. Do you use them just for the look of being a living world? Trains have just always been my go to and easier route when they become available. Do power users of Trucks and Roads utitlize some sort of "Gas Station" concept for fuel or just wing it with what's available. Just feels like for the time investment its still easier to run Rails or Belts. What is the furthest you would run a road route? Inner Biome only, Biome to Biome, etc. What am I missing here?

i only have the achievement left (getting 100 hard drives): do you know which items are needed to unlock all 100 of them, or are they specific to the run? thanks in advance for the replies.

Modded Content Reupload: New Custom Space Delivery Terminal, Dynamic Recipe and Item Management Mod. Coming soon to SMR

Hello!

I wanted to share the joy of finally being close to releasing a mod I've been working on for a long time, along with some details about what it brings to the game. I originally started this mod just to add a few items for myself, but things completely spiraled out of control... in a good way!

1. Dynamic Recipe Management

No more messing with .json or .yaml files. I've created a Web Portal where you can add entirely new items and recipes with ZERO coding knowledge. The system automatically handles all calculations, including liquids and gases. You can visually create your new production chains in your own workspace.

2. Visual Asset Library

I've built a visual library with 120 different 3D assets and 2D icons that perfectly fit the game's aesthetic (and I plan to slowly expand this over time). You are no longer forced to reuse existing vanilla visuals like in other mods. Everyone can have unique 3D visuals, providing a truly personalized factory experience.

3. Vanilla Recipe Editing

To respect players' current hard work and factories, the base mod does not touch any vanilla recipes. However, if you want, you have the full power to edit any vanilla recipe or create custom alternatives through the portal.

4. THE SPACE DELIVERY TERMINAL

This is my favorite part. I always felt the endgame motivation dropped off heavily after finishing the Space Elevator phases. To fix this, I modeled a brand new building from scratch (using SolidWorks). The new Space Delivery Terminal will request 4 random item slots from you—this includes vanilla items AND the custom items from your own production chains! Completing an order rewards you with 60 FICSIT Coupons. Don't want to make a specific order? You can reroll it for 50 coupons.

5. Interactive WIKI

I created a Google-style Wiki page on the Web Portal. You can search for any item or recipe to track its production and usage. If you create a custom production chain in your workspace, you get a "My Wiki" page. This seamlessly merges your custom recipes with the vanilla ones into a personalized wiki you can use at any time!

6. Workspace

On the portal, you can create, merge, and share as many projects as you want in your workspace, or you can build upon the mod's original production chains.

7. Security

To ensure the mod runs perfectly and to keep your custom workspaces secure, your production chain files are securely linked to your Epic/Steam ID via our official Epic Games 3rd Party App integration. This ensures your unique factory data is safe and strictly yours!

8. Multi-Language Support

We want everyone to enjoy this experience comfortably! The mod itself currently features built-in support for 6 different localized languages in-game, and the Web Portal fully supports 5 languages. You can build and manage your factory in your native language.

9. 100% Free

All components of this mod—the web portal, workspace, wiki, file merging, etc.—are offered 100% free of charge.

I am incredibly proud of the final state of this mod. All testing is complete, everything works 100%, and you will be able to download it from SMR very soon!

The original version of the mod includes 40 new 3D items and approximately 30 hours of new production chains. Since I haven't altered the vanilla recipes, you can continue playing using your existing save file!

In the next phase, I want to make the in-game coupons more valuable; maybe we can build a town for ourselves somewhere. From an administrative office, we’ll be able to see all production processes, consumption, and so on in real time.

Transparency Note: Artificial intelligence was used during the development process to provide support, particularly regarding the integration of the web portal and the adaptation of 3D visuals to the editor. However, the Space Delivery Terminal was modeled entirely from scratch by me using SolidWorks to ensure it fits the game’s theme perfectly.

A question on expanding and the logistics behind it.

Hey all, I’m about to complete phase 2, have a decent iron factory set up with a couple coal power plants and some copper and steel satellite factories. I’m getting to the point where it makes sense to increase my production for some higher tier items.

As I’ve thought about it and looked at some opinions on how to do this, it seems the general consensus is to keep factories independent and not build onto previous factories. What I mean by this is instead of expanding upon my previous iron plate line to make something more complex, start a new factory fresh from a new node.

This raises a question for me though, what do I do with all of the excess steel plates I’m producing if not using them to fund further production lines? Right now I have ~3-4 storage containers full of essentially most basic resources such as iron plates, screws, rods, etc.

Trying to wrap my brain around this concept without losing my mind in the process, any tips are appreciated!

Here is my intersection with block signals when exiting and path signals when entering (idk if there's smtg else I'm supposed to do). Why are all my path signals red? What makes them red? I can't find why ...

Merging Nodes Acceptable?

When I first came into the game I was taught by a long time early adopter to never, for example, take a set of Nodes ( 3 Iron Ore ) or whatever, and merge them into one giant set of Smelters. Break each line up into 3 sets of Smelters, Constructors etc. What is the prevaling thought pattern on this? Lately I've been wondering if This is a more efficient way to run things off of the pure recipies by combining a set of nodes locally into a Large set of Refiners before going out to individual Constructor Chains. Thanks for your input!

And today, for the first time ever, after 1900 hours of gameplay (yes a lot of that was AFK hours), countless restarts, and multiple computer upgrades/replacements, I have completed the game.

Credits reached, all trophies, all MAM research, all tech tree, all alt recipes, all achievements. I honestly never thought this day would come.
