Maybe soon there will no longer be any nighttime if this gets popular enough. Crops utilising 24h sunlight, and cities wanting to reduce crime and conclude this is cheaper than more guards. Personally I like nighttime and I would be sad if darkness went away. Where do you think this will go?

Also interesting to discuss how this would impact the world of Project Hail Mary. If you could increase Earth sunlight enough to mitigate extreme ice age. Have someone done the maths on how many mirrors you need to compensate for the stated 10% loss of sunlight the Project Hail Mary book have as the premise. In theory you could keep daylight cycle but make specific daytime regions warmer.

While watching the movie, I asked my partner to sew me a yellow jumpsuit and she did! I made the mission patches and built Rocky to complete my Ryland Grace cosplay. I'm really happy with how it all came together and wanted to share here. I have some videos on my socials as well.

After watching the movie multiple times, something struck me. When Grace finally admits he’s not going back to Earth and will die in space, Rocky says “Why didn’t you tell me?” Not “Why you not tell me, question?—as you would expect him to say and is the grammatical structure he uses just before and after this. At first I thought that maybe the phrase was recorded at a later date and the actor forgot how to make Rocky sound like Rocky. But then it made me wonder if it’s intentional. Since there are other references to movies throughout this one, is it a nod to Luke Skywalker’s question at the end of The Empire Strikes Back: “Ben, why didn’t you tell me?” Honestly, I have to go with this explanation otherwise it’s quite a glaring inconsistency.

I love Rocky and Adrian. These span over a while, my artstyle is super inconsistent. Also it features mark watney who I’ve made a whole AU for with friends (go Rylark!!!!). I took the Grace one more seriously lol, I had to edit some shorts onto my boy. I did it in about 3 hours on Roblox it was very fun!!

How much oxygen could there be in the suit Rocky made him. Is that why we see very little of the ship? Because Grace had very little time? Is that hump on his back some sort of oxygen tank?
