Penn State is probably one of my top choices for schools I want to apply and try to get into alongside Rutgers. (Penn States Smeal Business/Finance program to be more specific). Right now I’m a rising senior in high school and a NJ resident. I’m starting to explore different colleges that would be right for me and I was just wondering what Penn State is really like? (From people who went or currently go there). How is the sporting events, dorms, atmosphere, stuff to do around State College campus, etc? Thank you!

I’m an upcoming freshman and requested to be in a LLC on my HFS contract. I’m just wondering if anybody that was/is in a LLC actually benefited from it. Specifically in the making friendships area. I have autism (level 1) and social anxiety which makes it very hard for me to form and maintain relationships. I thought joining a LLC would help with this since I’ll be surrounded by people I already have similarities to. But I’m scared that I’m getting my hopes up and that when I get there I’ll be disappointed. I’d rather find out if it sucks now instead of later.

I am a student who was assigned south housing McElwain hall to be specific for the fall and I do NOT want that.

I put east as first, before knowing you could do east east so me and my roommate did south as a fallback, but definitely wanted east. While the room assignments didn’t come out yet, you can see on lion path the room you got. I got one of the unrenovated south buildings and i definitely want to switch.

Can i do this process before the official dorm assignments come out? and how likely is it that me and my roommate will be reassigned to east?

I received an email saying I’d been selected to move forward in the EDSGN 100 LA process and completed the availability form before the deadline. The email mentioned they’d follow up once scheduling was finalized, but I haven’t heard anything since.
Has anyone received an assignment or any updates? Just wondering if decisions are still rolling out or if I should reach out.

Why on God's green earth are there absolutely 0 images of the quads in west, or more specifically of Hamilton hall? It's like they scrubbed every last image proving it exists off the internet. I looked at one at the end of my most recent semester and it was some borderline 2 by 4 shoebox with 4 beds crammed in each corner with a small circular window way up high in the middle of the wall. Is this what all of them look like? Does anyone have a picture? Also we are three people who are going to be in a quad, maybe with a 4th random roommate. Will they give us one or leave us with an empty bed?

I’m a rising junior with a 3.9 GPA and I can’t get any scholarships or grants, even though my dad lost his job 8 months ago.

edit: folks are commenting that I have other options, while i somewhat agree, most are unrealistic. pitt and drexel have the same cost issue, as do all the private institutions (CMU, UPenn etc). my point our “in state” system has sub par schools relative to other states and i was angry at my bill lol

The EE Program Booklet doesn't seem to make any mention on how to earn these credits. I would figure that out of ENGL 15, ENGL 202C, EE 300W, and EE 403W, I would be able to earn these credits, but the What-If report states that those classes won't meet the requirements. Can someone help me out?

I’m a rising sophomore IE Major and I registered for a regular offline mode or math 250 but now as I was going through the sections again, I found a math 250 online option and it saves a lot of time in a day and now my classes are not clustered anymore and I love it than before but when it’s web, I feel like I get distracted and neglect web classes sometimes so I wanted to have your suggestions on this. But sometimes when I know it’s important, I do give time and effort to learn. The exams are also online and proctored. There’s a note: “To enable proctored examinations, students are required to possess an external webcam with a cable that is 5-feet in length or longer and a computer running Windows or MacOS. Chromebooks and Linux machines are not supported.” Is this gonna affect anything? Or the online learning gonna affect my grade or is it better if I do it offline? I shared 2 pics where one is regular math 250 session and one is a web one and how my schedules look.
